Asher's face instantly froze. He was completely speechless after hearing those words come out of Chronos' mouth. Was it possible that he was delusional, or was it just an illusion forming in his mind? He had no idea, but he was sure of it. But surely, there was something here.
"Hey, Ash is everything alright?" Chronos snapped his fingers, a worried expression on his face. "
"Yeah, I'm just ...."
Suddenly something shot out quickly from behind Asher. Fortunately, Chronos noticed it. Without lingering, he instantly pulled both their bodies to the ground, avoiding the sudden attack.
"Oh my, what is that? Wait, is that an arrow?" Asher's face paled, his shoulders instantly tense.
"Damn, this must be the orcs." Chronos gripped his sword tightly, his gaze sharp. "Come out of your hiding place, you bastard!" Chronos shouted, his anger beginning to show.
A few minutes later, more arrows appeared from the same direction. Not just one, but 3 arrows at once. Fortunately, Chronos was quite agile, allowing his body to deflect every arrow that came his way.
"Fuck! I'll kill you!" Chronos' anger slowly peaked, his head feeling increasingly hot. "Where are you fucking orcs."
"Chronos, please calm down. We have to be calm if we want to defeat this thing." Asher patted his shoulder to calm his anger.
Slowly the anger inside Chronos' mind began to calm down, but it only lasted for a moment. When Chronos saw the silhouette approaching in the same direction as the arrow, his anger immediately took control once again. He immediately attacked without coordination with Asher towards the silhouette alone, which further weakened their defenses.
"Hey Chronos, what are you doing!" Asher shouted, trying to hold Chronos back.
Now things got even more chaotic as Chronos left without hearing Asher. It seemed that the orcs' tactics to disrupt their defenses were working. Surely now, Asher would be their first target as these creatures knew that the white wizard class had a weak defense.
"Oh no...no, what should we do?" Persea panicked, her face tightening. "We're going to die! We're going to die." She tugged at her blue hair, her shoulders becoming tense.
The words that came out of Persea's mouth only made things seem much worse than before. Asher's mind was instantly in turmoil. He was unable to think calmly at all and the fear seemed to have returned, trying to take over his mind.
"No, no. I can't be like this. I have to calm down." Asher took a deep breath, trying to control his fear.
While Asher was still struggling with his emotions, a strange creature appeared from behind him. A green creature with a sturdy human-like body walked slowly like a thief, took out its sharp sword, and prepared to finish Asher off.
"Asher, watch out!" Persea shouted, trying to warn Asher.
Fortunately, Persea's shout allowed Asher to instantly dodge the sword's slash. However, even though he managed to dodge the creature's surprise attack, the sword's surface managed to touch Asher's skin, creating a fine scratch that slowly leaked blood.
"Ugh, damn orc." Asher wiped the blood from his face, a look of pain on his face.
But oddly enough, soon Asher's vision slowly blurred. He didn't understand what was happening to him at all, but it was clear that his head was also starting to feel heavy as if someone had placed a large rock on his head.
"Argh, what happened to me?" Asher patted his head repeatedly, trying to stay awake.
"Hey, Asher, stay awake." Persea flew over to Asher, trying to calm him down.
The pain grew stronger, causing Asher to faint and grimace in pain. The creature smiled widely, showing a satisfied expression on its face. It seemed like everything had been planned by this orc in its mind until it slowly approached Asher and prepared to end his life.
"I won't let you hurt Asher." Persea flew over with a tense look on her face.
But her efforts were in vain. The orc easily slammed Persea into the ground, knocking her unconscious instantly. Now, there was no one to protect Asher. The orc then swung his sword, ready to take Asher's life.
"Cling! Cling!"
Chrnonos' sword managed to deflect the Orc's attack. Fortunately, he arrived just in time and immediately gave Asher a bottle of the Antidote, removing the effects of the poison that had entered and spread into Asher's body.
Slowly he was able to feel the pain in his head gradually disappear. The effect of the antidote seemed to be working well. However, the poison had managed to reduce almost half of Asher's blood in a short period, making him have to chant his healing spell before things got worse.
"Cure'!" Asher chanted his healing spell quickly, relief showing slightly on his face. "Chronos, but how come?" His face was shocked, disbelief showing on his face.
"I heard someone shouting, so I hurried back here. Okay now, how can we defeat this thing?" Chronos' eyes were sharp, showing the anger that was on his mind.
"We can ask Persea for help, but we have to help her first." Asher's face tightened, looking at Persea who was lying on the ground.
As Chronos tried to resist the orc's attack, Asher quickly accelerated his footsteps toward Persea, hoping he could still save Persea. Without waiting, he immediately cast his healing spell, and a few minutes later, Persea woke up.
"Gosh, thank goodness you're awake, Persea." Asher took a deep breath, relief evident on his face. "Now we need your ability to see the enemy's weakness. Can you use your ability?"
Hearing Asher's words, Persea nodded her head. She understood what Asher was talking about and began to use her scanning ability, searching for the orcs' weaknesses. In just a few seconds, the data about the orcs instantly appeared on screen.
Orc warrior (Lv.9)
HP: 9000/9000
Mana: 50/50
Element: none
Weakness: all magic attack
Asher was stunned as he read the creature's weaknesses, all magic attacks. Damn it. His class also used magic, however, the white magic type had no magic to attack and only to protect or support his teammates
"Wait, maybe Altaria's staff passive skill: laser beam might come in handy." Asher snapped his fingers, a pleased look on his face. "But how do I activate this passive skill?" Asher's face tightened, his face turning pale.
Unfortunately, as Asher struggled to figure out how to activate his passive skill, the orc continued to attack Chronos. An exhausted look began to appear on Chronos' face as he parried all of the creature's attacks.
"Hey Asher, what are you doing? Chronos is in trouble and we have to do something!" Persea furrowed her brow, seeing Asher only busy with himself.
"Ah, damn, I don't understand how this passive skill works. Asher grumbled, a resigned expression on his face.
"Gosh, why don't you ask me earlier? "Persea shook her head, a look of disbelief on her face. "Look, passive skills can only activate if you concentrate. Remember, you have to focus." Her voice sounded firm, there was no hesitation in it.
Focus. That was what Asher now had to do to activate his passive skill. So he slowly took a breath, trying to eliminate all the distractions around him. A few minutes later, a white light shone very brightly from the tip of Asher's staff.
"Asher, you did it!" Persea was smiling, a look of joy on her face. "
"Yeah and now, it's time to pay back." He pointed his staff forward, his eyes burning. "Laser beam!"
A beam of light shot out from the tip of her staff, hitting the orc so fast that it was pushed quite far away. Seeing that, Chronos was speechless as the power managed to injure the orc.
"Ash, that's incredible power!" Chronos enlarged both his eyeballs, a look of disbelief etched on his face.
Asher simply could not believe that the passive power of his weapon managed to injure the orc. However, their happiness was short-lived. Before long, the orc reappeared before them along with other orcs, ready to take revenge.
