"You're hired for the summer." The owner of the hotel I applied for a summer job told me and stood up. She offered me a handshake and I also stood up and shaked her hand.
"Thank you Ms. Dantes, I'll do my best to keep your hotel still the number 1 in our town." I said to her and smiled. She gave me a faint smile and responded to what I have said.
"Please do a good job. I'll send you to someone to tour you around so you can familiarize yourself in the hotel." I nodded my head, still smiling.
Ms. Dantes and I both flinched in shock when someone barged in the door of her office. It was a man, I assume almost the same age as me. He was panting and fear and horror was evident in his eyes.
"A guest was killed in one of our VIP rooms." He said and Ms. Dantes stood up in shock and they immediately flew to the incident. I decided to follow.
How coincidental is this, someone died at the time when I got hired. I might probably be a suspect. That's how human minds work. Twisted yet basic.
When we arrived at the crime scene, which is one of the VIP rooms of this resort and hotel, I saw the deceased. The male guest was hunged in one of the metal curtain rack of the room.
His eyes were closed.
What made me curious was his body formation. Its as if he was already dead before he was even hunged. Also, there's a little trace of blood in his clothing.
"Ms. Fuentes." I jumped due to shock because I was so absorbed on observing the dead body of the victim.
"Ms. Dantes, sorry, yes?" I asked her.
"I'm very sorry that this incident happened. I'm afraid that you might be in shock right now. We'll need to move the tour tomorrow because no one will be available to accompany you." She explained while I nodded to tell her that I understand.
"Is there in any way I can be handy?" I asked, of course I need to be corteous. Impression lasts.
"No it's fine Ms. Fuentes. I'll be very glad if you go home now, thank you." She said as I gladly and willingly did.
This summer job got a little more fun, I shall dig what's lying beneath and entertain myself.
