Villains Survival Guide

Pain makes you stronger. A quote from someone who clearly never experienced true pain. I have. I thought I finally got away from my past, and yet it seems I'm fated to die at the hands of my own creation. An author reincarnated as the villain of his own story. It's a race against time to see if he can survive in this world that seems so desperate to kill him. *** Note: There are multiple love interests however I haven't decided on if I'm going the harem route or not. The beginning might seem like TAP or TNE because its inspired by them but it changes dw.

Invitation

Yawning, I gently lay my head in the angelic pillow that was my arms.

It seems I was mistaken, sleeping in class truly is the best way to spend your time.

"Moreau! stop slacking off again... how many times have I told you to pay attention!" shouted a pudgy bald man.

He was our history professor, Reginald Marx.

"Sorry professor..." I mumbled half-heartedly.

Reginald clutched his head as if he was having an aneurysm.

"Ah... they don't pay me enough for this..." I swear I heard him mutter.

"Alright, listen up everyone. I've decided to split you all up into groups for your assignment." he began before someone stood up.

"Professor you haven't given us an assignment!" came the whiny voice of a lanky boy.

"I just did, so sit down."

The lanky boy sat down dejectedly as the class groaned.

"Yeah, yeah... get over it. I'm going to start reading off the groups so listen carefully."

I stopped paying attention until I heard my name called.

"Moreau, Bellerose, Von Claire, Villin! You bunch are assigned to make a detailed report on how each of the races came to this world." he shouted as he ended the class.

Fuck.

Really?

Just what the hell am I supposed to write about now?

As I got up from my seat, I couldn't help but wonder why the hell we had to research the different races anyway.

Didn't the teacher know everything already?

Ahh, seriously this sucks.

I quickly left the classroom before any of my groupmates could stop me, I would deal with it another time.

There's nothing wrong with procrastinating, right?

After walking around aimlessly for a while, I finally found myself standing outside of the library.

I walked inside and saw two girls staring at a book.

One of them looked familiar.

She was tall, with long raven black hair tied back in a ponytail, and pale skin.

Her eyes were a deep golden color.

And her lips, which seemed to be permanently curved upwards, were blood red.

They reminded me of a rose petal or maybe even candy.

I quickly tried to back out before Vera noticed me however it was to no avail.

Vera grabbed my arm and pulled me towards her.

Oh shit, here comes trouble.

I just wanted to get away from her.

But alas, she didn't let go so easily.

"What're you doing over here, your not trying to run away from me are you?" she asked, her eyes lighting up with an evil glint, I swear I could see her fangs protruding slightly.

Gulping slightly, I quickly calmed my pounding heart as I once again morphed into my mask of indifference.

It wasn't easy but I managed to calm down enough to talk without giving away any emotion.

"No, I'm not running."

Vera smiled wickedly "Good then follow me," she said, pulling me along by my hand.

The other girl seemed to have scampered off somewhere as Vera pulled me deeper into the maze of bookshelves.

We soon arrived at what appeared to be a study room.

There was a desk against one wall with several chairs surrounding it.

On the opposite side, there were some shelves filled with books stacked neatly on top of each other.

As we entered Vera closed the door behind us and turned around smiling at me.

I felt my heart palpitate slightly as I took a step backward feeling trapped between two walls of shelving.

Vera stepped closer to me looking amused "So you want to play hard to get?

Masking my emotions once more and calming myself, I stood before her a recollected man.

That's right, I was not phased by such trifling things.

"Perhaps I'm simply worth the challenge," I said confidently.

"Oh?" She exclaimed slightly surprised by my response.

I raised my eyebrow and shrugged nonchalantly.

"Indeed... perhaps I do enjoy this game of ours. however, you seem to have forgotten that you owe me a date." she challenged me with a smirk on her plump lips.

"And just what exactly makes you think that after all, we canceled the challenge?" I asked casually.

"You seem to have forgotten, however, I saved your life. As well as I will teach you the Mana Code to the Movement-Type spell I promised. what do you say?" she winked at me, already knowing my answer.

"Tch. sly witch" I grumbled, as I finally uncrossed my arms.

"Oh? what was that? I must not have heard you." she chuckled, eyeing me with the gaze of a predator.

Yep, definitely a witch.

Vera, then leaned forward, her cleavage pressing against me as her hot breath assaulted my ear.

"I am going to take great pleasure in teaching you how to use my magic, so be prepared for some interesting lessons!" she whispered into my ear seductively.

Her soft breasts felt warm against my bare chest.

I could feel her body heat radiating through the thin fabric of our clothing.

My heart beat rapidly at the sensation of being close to someone else.

However, I knew it would only end badly if I acted upon these feelings now.

Controlling myself, I eased her back by the shoulders.

"When are we going on this so-called 'Date'?" I grumbled.

"This weekend we will go into the city to a place I know," she said as she began heading to the door.

I sighed deeply and followed after her.

"Oh, and Isaac?" she said, turning to face me with a crooked smile.

"Do dress nicely, ok?"

Bam-!

The door shut with a bang.

As Vera sauntered away, she heard what sounded like a frustrated scream from behind her.

Hmm... it was probably nothing.

Picking her ear with her pinky she left the library.

***

It had been nearly a week since the incident with Luke, and there was still no sign of Valeria taking it easy on me during our morning "Workouts" or as I liked to call them "Beatings".

All of us were in class, except for Valeria who was currently absent because of some "family emergency".

Everyone seemed to be in high spirits as they laughed amongst themselves and joked about various things.

I sat quietly in my seat, trying my best to avoid the attention of everyone around me.

Although I was aware of how childish I was acting, I couldn't help myself.

I didn't want any of my groupmates to approach me about the project.

I had barely slept as well, which wasn't helping my mood.

I tried to stay focused during the lessons, however, I couldn't stop thinking about the events of the previous day with Vera.

Tomorrow was the beginning of the weekend and I would be venturing off the island and into the city with her.

I know I shouldn't ask, but why me?

I mean come on, what the hell could she possibly need me for?

~' Were cute no?'~

~' Are we?'~

~' Maybe it's just me.'~

~' But your me.'~

~' What?'~

~' Guys seriously not helping.'~

The voices in my head just went on and on as I lay on my desk lazily.

My eyelids drooped heavily over my icy blue eyes and my breathing slowed down to a steady pace.

Inhale... Exhale... Inhale... Exhale...

The next thing I knew, I had fallen asleep without realizing it.

I awoke with a start and found that the room was filled with silence.

Shit, I'm late for class!

I stood up quickly and began heading to the door of the classroom.

Suddenly I felt someone's gaze on my back.

The gaze exuded killing intent, causing my expression to change as I turned to view the gaze.

Resting my gaze on the figure of a blonde-haired boy, I morphed my expression from a murderous one to a cool facade as I raised my eyebrow.

"Can I help you?" I asked icily.

"Catch." came his monotone voice as he threw me what appeared to be a letter.

ZINGG-!

Almost faster than the eye could see the letter passed by my eyes as it threatened to lop off my head.

Catching it between two of my fingers, I carefully examined it.

~Student Council~

It seemed to be a letter to me from the student council.

"What is this?" I asked, my hardened gaze falling on him as he got up from his seat.

"It's a personal invitation from the student council to attend an event happening tonight at the president's dorm. The event is a selection of this year's student council members," he said as he began walking towards me.

"And why are you the one to deliver this, Wade?"

"Hmmm, well my brother asked me to give it to you so make of it what you will..." he said as he yawned and then left the classroom.

I carefully opened the envelope and read through the contents of the letter.

===

Dear Isaac Moreau,

We invite you to the student council representative selection that is taking place tonight at 20:00 PM.

You have been nominated by the student council for the place of Representative.

You will be required to wear formal attire for the occasion and follow our requests for the night. If you accept the invitation, please arrive at the student council president's residence at the time stated in the letter.

Should you decline, we may have to take disciplinary action against you.

"Well, looks like I'll be going after all," I mumbled as I placed the letter back in the envelope and walked out the door.
