Villain Support Agency ( On Hiatus )

In a world where superhumans and villains clash with epic regularity, a secret organization exists, hidden in the shadows, known only as the Villain Support Agency (VSA). Enter the Villain Support Agency, a clandestine organization that offers guidance, training, and resources to aspiring supervillains. Led by the enigmatic council, the agency is a melting pot of diverse and unconventional individuals with extraordinary abilities, all united by their shared desire to challenge the status quo. Frustrated with the seemingly untouchable heroes and their self-righteousness, the protagonist of the story, Carl, joined the agency as a handler, a person that helps the villains out and does his best to do what is best for them. As Carl becomes acquainted with this new underworld, he encounters many characters, each with their own motivations and ambitions. From the mischievous trickster to the mastermind strategist, Carl learns that villains are not just one-dimensional evildoers but complex individuals driven by their own desires and dreams. One faithful day, Carl gains an opportunity to not only become better at his job and rise through the ranks of the organization quickly, but to become much more than a simple 'handler'.

Unexpected Promotion: Rise of the Unlikely Villain

Impossible.

This is impossible.

Blorg?

Out of all the people that exist, out of the thousands of new villains that the agency finds every single month, the one that suddenly came to me again is Blorg?!

FREAKING BLORG?!

'You knew it, didn't you?' I asked the damned system but only got a chuckle as a response.

Still, how could this be?

I told Blorg the last time we spoke that he would need to reach …

No way.

Nah-ah.

There's no freaking way he reached C-grade.

I answered the call with trembling fingers before it connected, and just like before, in front of my face, on the freaking 70-inch TV that had been placed instead of a desktop, I could see Blorg's green face.

He was smiling at me.

"What did I tell ya, partner?!"

"I got that higher grade, we're back in business baby, Blorg and Carl, together once again, ready to kick some hero ass!"

I simply smiled at him, trying to make it look as natural as it could possibly be.

"You certainly did Blorg, I have to admit that I'm surprised, only two days had passed after all."

"Hahahahahaha, two days too long brother!" Blorg said as he laughed heartily. His teeth, which were all well-sharpened and pointy, could be seen from inside his mouth as he continued laughing.

Honestly?

I felt a bit sick to my stomach.

"Blorg?"

"Yes, brother?"

Don't call me that you green freak that only knows to annoy people to death.

"I have to excuse myself, I'll be back in like 10 minutes, alright?"

"Ah, the call of nature, of course, brother, talk to ya in a bit," Blorg said as he disconnected the call while I bolted out of my office and made my way to the head.

That guy, did he maybe really manage to annoy a hero to death and get promoted?

What grade is he anyway, there's no way he really managed to reach C-grade from E-grade in only 2 days, right?

I had to stop in front of the office as my colleagues had noticed my weird expression and some had actually come to me, hoping to find out what was wrong with me.

Some seemed to already know about the situation and were even telling me not to go to the head and complain as nothing could come out of it.

"Carl, get in." The door of the main office suddenly swung open as the head opened the door and looked at me.

I nodded at him before entering the office and sitting down.

"You're probably wondering why the hell we have given you Blorg again, right?"

"Yes, sir."

"Well, first of all, you have been promoted again, this makes you the person that had managed to rise from D-grade to C-grade the fastest amongst all of the handlers that we have had." The head suddenly said as he gave me my new file, which showed that I was now a C-grade handler.

"Wait, but … but why?" I asked the head, fully knowing why this was happening though.

"By the rules the agency is running on, for a handler to have 2 villains of C-grade, he cannot be lower than C-grade either, so we, of course, have to do this as both the Prince and Blorg only want to work with you."

C-grade.

From being an E-grade handler that had only one villain under him, I had risen to a C-grade handler in the span of a couple of days, something that I had never expected.

I knew very well what the head meant by stating the rules. For them to make my rank higher wasn't a big issue, after all, even though a C-grade handler was considered to be a good one, it wasn't a top position or anything of the sort and there were tens of thousands of such handlers around the world.

Still, for me, this was a great opportunity, an opportunity to spread my wings and grab my destiny, and opportu-

[ It's an opportunity to stop acting like an ass, for god's sake, could you be any more dramatic and narcissistic? ]

'I hate you, with all of my heart.'

[ I'm not that fond of you either, partner, so come on, move on, and let's get the job done, you still have a mission to finish. ]

"Sir, if I may, how the hell did Blorg become a C-grade villain, I mean, it's Blorg for god's sake."

"I know, and I understand your confusion, I am equally confused as well, here's the report."

I took the report that the head slid over to me before reading it. The more I read, the wider my eyes got, until finally, I simply put the report down and stared at the head.

"Yeah, that's the correct reaction."

"How … how freaking lucky is this guy?!"

So, turns out that Blorg had managed to not only destroy a hideout that heroes often used, but he had also managed to uncover a couple of spies thanks to the fact that the hideout had such information and it was conveniently lying there thanks to the fact that somebody had forgotten to lock things down.

Furthermore, Blorg had created a weapon, a powerful one, that was for certain, but one that didn't really function as a weapon as much as it function as a slot machine.

Somehow, Blorg had used his ability, which I still have no idea what it truly is, and had created an RPG launcher that will, depending on how lucky you were, shoot either some dirt that will do absolutely nothing or an incredibly powerful ray of energy that can vaporize almost anything that was in front of it.

As powerful as that seemed, the ray lasts for a brief moment and one needed to be incredibly accurate to hit anything as it was slightly thinner than a pinky was, while at the same time being hard to control as the entire thing would start shaking one second before you shoot.

Blorg had created the weapon a long time ago, and for now, there have only been 3 registered instances where the ray had been used. Most of the time, the weapon would launch something that would do absolutely nothing to the enemy.

Blorg, after blowing up the hideout he had somehow found and managed to infiltrate, had come across a B-grade hero that had been ambushed by two B-grade villains and had managed to escape with some heavy injuries.

Wanting to take advantage of the hero's weakened state, Blorg had used his weapon, managed to hit the jackpot, and had been successful at aiming it and hitting the hero's head from 500 meters away.

If this wasn't luck, I have no idea what is.

"Even though luck seems to have played a major role, it was still Blorg that had done all of it, so he was immediately promoted to a C-grade villain and was allowed to choose his handler, and he was adamant about choosing you, even going so far as to say he would leave the agency if we didn't let him."

"As tempting as the offer was, we still had rules to uphold, standards to hold to, we couldn't just allow a villain that had managed to do something beneficial to the agency to leave in a fit of rage, so we allowed him to come in contact with you, I do hope that you will accept him and continue the good work from before if you need any help, we can give you an assistant, but I doubt Blorg will be nice enough to work with the assistant."

"No need, I will take care of both of them," I said with a sigh before standing up.

"So, I got a new office?"

The head smirked at my question before flicking a key to me.

"Not just that, but by successfully reaching the C-grade rank, you are eligible to move into an apartment building that is controlled by the agency, your safety will be guaranteed there, and the comfort of the apartment will definitely be satisfactory."

"I'll think about that," I said while not planning on moving to a place where the agency can monitor me closer. With the system, my strength would rapidly rise, if it truly was as good as it said it was.

[ I am, you ass! ]

I don't want people to notice anything, I don't want them to notice when I was training or doing anything, so I would have to say no, at least for now.

As for the other thing, a C-grade would usually start getting trained by the agency, but since the head didn't say a thing, I simply nodded to him and left the office.

Does he know?

No, he shouldn't, right?

As Carl was going to his new office, the head pressed a button before connecting with a hooded man.

"Handler Carl, a new C-grade, I want men to be stationed on him."

"Are we following him or-?

"Security, I don't want any danger to befall him, no spying necessary."

"Yes, sir!" The man said before the call ended and the head was left staring at the door of his office.

'In merely 2 days, he had grown from an average person, well, someone that was slightly below the average, to a person that is clearly superhuman, interesting.'
