Villain Support Agency ( On Hiatus )

In a world where superhumans and villains clash with epic regularity, a secret organization exists, hidden in the shadows, known only as the Villain Support Agency (VSA). Enter the Villain Support Agency, a clandestine organization that offers guidance, training, and resources to aspiring supervillains. Led by the enigmatic council, the agency is a melting pot of diverse and unconventional individuals with extraordinary abilities, all united by their shared desire to challenge the status quo. Frustrated with the seemingly untouchable heroes and their self-righteousness, the protagonist of the story, Carl, joined the agency as a handler, a person that helps the villains out and does his best to do what is best for them. As Carl becomes acquainted with this new underworld, he encounters many characters, each with their own motivations and ambitions. From the mischievous trickster to the mastermind strategist, Carl learns that villains are not just one-dimensional evildoers but complex individuals driven by their own desires and dreams. One faithful day, Carl gains an opportunity to not only become better at his job and rise through the ranks of the organization quickly, but to become much more than a simple 'handler'.

The Second Mission

"Nice" I nodded my head to Nacht who was looking all proud of himself while slightly gulping inside. The nutjob had managed to trap the entire place in only one night, did he even sleep?

[ Probably not. ]

Yeah, probably.

"So, Nach, what is your plan, you have become a C-grade villain, so that means that you need to prove your worth to the agency, you do realize that after C-grade, the ranking does change, wanton destruction and killing of people is no longer one something that is taken into account that much, except for the rare cases where towns get leveled and tens of thousands die."

"I know Carl, don't you worry your pretty little head about a thing, I got it all planned," Nacht said with a cold smile as I continue looking at him.

I knew just how insane this person is, after all, if even half of what Nicht had told me about him is true, he was far worse than a psycho. An insane person that is filled with bloodlust and possesses an insanely powerful ability, just what could go wrong?

Even for a villain, he might be too crazy and a complete liability, I just hope he doesn't start doing some truly insane stuff and gets kicked out of the agency. A handler is connected to the villain they are handling, so the success of the villain, as well as the failure is shared, which means if he gets kicked out, I will get demoted, and that's me being generous.

Ding!

[ Second mission initiated. ]

[ The handler will soon receive another villain, he is to accept and do his best to comply and help the villain out. ]

[ Bonus completion points will be given if the handler manages to make the villain 'Nacht' and the second villain friends and make them work together in the future. ]

'Huh, yo, system, what the hell is this?'

[ It's a mission, you blind or something? ]

'I know it's a damn mission, but what the hell, you can see into the future or something?'

[ Something like that, don't think too much about it and just go with it, it's up to you whether you want to accept it or not after all. ]

'Alright, I'm gonna wait for that new villain before deciding whether I want to accept it or not though.'

The system is weird, and for some reason, when I read that I will receive a second villain, I got goosebumps.

The agency has given me Nacht to handle because he is a special case, not only was I Nicht's handler back when he was an F-grade villain, but they don't know about Nacht, and he was the one that asked for me, otherwise, I would have never been given this opportunity.

For me to gain another one means that the villain is definitely one that is asking the agency for me, which means that I will get lucky again, but I'm just afraid it's another nut job. Still, he will probably be a C-grade villain like Nacht, a D-grade at the very least, which is good.

Even after the entire day had passed and I had returned home, nothing happened though. I received no news about a new villain wanting to have me as his handler. I thought back on the villains I had handled back when I was an F-grade handler, and unfortunately for me, I couldn't guess which one it would be.

There had been no villain that showed any remarkable talent back then, and the only reason I remembered Nicht so well was because of his background, as well as the fact that he truly was special compared to all the rest.

I trained in the evening and worked up quite a sweat. I had been unfortunate enough to walk into Carla during working hours, and she was one of the people that noticed that my body seemed different, she quite liked it, and I have to admit, I did like her flirting as well.

I wasn't a person that was into romance or anything of the sort, but I am a man after all. I had never been in a committed relationship, but I did have my fair share of short ones, as well as some one-night stands.

After I had taken the pills yesterday, my body, as well as my face changed. My face changed slightly, if one wasn't careful enough, they wouldn't truly notice as my facial features were still relatively the same.

My face got sharper, my eyes shifted minimally, making them have a sharper look as well. The same went for my eyebrows, my nose, as well as my jawline. Still, it was a small difference, but Carla had noticed it immediately, hell, she even thought I had plastic surgery for a moment before realizing that she saw me yesterday and that it would have been impossible.

Still, I did get annoyed as after all, the system had given me a mission so abruptly, and nothing happened, nothing at all.

I woke up the following day, more energetic than usual, and went to my car before making my way back to the agency. I had talked with Nacht quite a lot, and I even had to persuade him to drop some of his plans as they were far too dangerous.

The madman had planned to use his ability and create multiple explosions around the city to destabilize it before starting a rampage. I could imagine all the buildings that would collapse and the thousands that would die.

It wasn't that I was looking out for the civilians, after all, when working for the agency, the most important thing one had to remember is that people become numbers. The number of casualties is just that to us, a mere number.

We don't care about them, well, most of us don't care. That is exactly why we have joined the agency because our talents can be best appreciated here.

The reason I had to persuade Nacht to drop that plan, as well as a couple of others, was simply because he was not ready for such things, he wasn't strong enough to survive the aftermath. Killing so many would draw the attention of the Hero Association, and they would definitely send higher-ranked heroes to investigate and capture Nacht.

Even though his ability is truly terrifying, there are many that can still defeat him in his current state, so I had to make sure he understood just how bad a situation he would get himself in if he was to do such a thing.

He was thankfully calm and understood what I was saying, even promising me that he will listen and follow through with a couple of other plans we had made together.

As I was sitting in my office and speaking to Nacht who had seemingly not slept at all, I was still thinking of the mission that the system had given me, as well as who might come my way.

"So, what do you think?" Nacht asked, but I was, unfortunately, a bit too engrossed in my own thoughts.

"Hey, quit daydreaming, you idiot!" Nacht suddenly shouted as he slammed his fist on the table in front of him, causing me to flinch and almost fall from my chair.

"Damn, who pissed in your cereal bro?" I asked him with slight contempt as he frustratingly exhaled.

He was tired, I could see it in his eyes, which meant that he was not thinking straight and was prone to getting angry over small matters.

Dammit, I need to be a bit careful with him today, he's like a freaking toddler.

"Alright, alright, I got it, the plan looks fine, I don't see any issues with it, just have a good rest first, and then proceed."

"And the items?"

"I have already sent a request, but no worries, the agency has taken quite the interest in you, so I see no reason for them to refuse, they will probably even give you a generous discount for all of them as well."

"That's good, very good," Nacht said in a weary voice before yawning.

"I'm off, talk to ya tonight."

"Yup, nighty night Nacht," I said absent-mindedly before ending the call. Only a couple of seconds passed before a new call appeared, this time, one from the agency.

"Handler Carl?"

"Yes, ma'am?" I answered the woman that appeared on the screen as she lifted her eyeglasses a bit.

"I have to congratulate you, another new C-grade villain has requested to be under you, since you already have one, a special case to boot, you can talk to him before deciding whether or not to accept him, the head has already given his approval."

My ears perked up as I smiled warmly at the woman.

"Yes, certainly, please send the call through."

The woman merely nodded before the call ended and a new one was connected immediately. Upon seeing the caller ID, however, I blinked a couple of times as I stared at the screen in pure shock.

"Hey, what is the punishment for not accepting the mission?"

[ Your body will revert back to how it was before you took the pills and you will be in a weakened state for 2 months, unable to practice the manual at all. ]

"You bastard."

I simply stared at the caller ID before sighing. I knew I had to take it, and I had to accept the person that was calling me.

The name was a very familiar one, one that I actually dreaded.

It was Blorg.
