Villain: Puppeteer Narrator

After being the narrator of the bored gods for who knows how long, Auriel knew that his future was bleak and uncertain. His life was boring and hard after suppressing his true self to live a few days more to live until he couldn't. It was unknown if it was luck or bad luck but, his punishment after he made a god furious was to transmigrate into the body of a villainous piggy noble he was narrating a while ago.  This was both an opportunity for him to live a good life to spite the gods and while at it maybe torment the protagonist who he deemed as the reason for his punishment.   But for some reason, troubles were following him like a plague. Vicious fiends who possess bodies, shape shifts, manipulate the minds of people, and are more vicious than fiends, humans.  Fortunately, he possessed the power to control things like a puppet. However, this newfound ability came at a price that he didn't know… ----------- Join my Discord server : https://discord.gg/H5fw9qhk2a

Sinister threads

Sun was rising slowly, illuminating the night with its rays of the sun.

But most of these sunrays weren't able to pass the certain dark curtains, only a few small ones were able to sneak through a gap.

And these exceptional little sun rays were enough to illuminate a particularly large room with black decorations all over.

In this room were 2 people, one of them was a black-haired fat young man with pale skin, a beauty mark below his left eye, and bandages around his thick neck. He was laying on a big, comfortable bed, sleeping silently, as if he didn't live through an assassination attempt.

The other person was a handsome man with long black hair tied up in a ponytail, pale skin, a sharp nose, and thin lips. He was sitting on a chair beside the bed, with his arms crossed and his right leg on top of his left. He had leaned his head back, and it was apparent that he, too, was sleeping, although in an uncomfortable position.

That fat young man was Auriel, who had just now opened his eyes. As for the other sleeping man, Auriel knew him as Clint Weaver, his current big brother, and a Transcendent powerhouse.

Or he would be a Transcendent powerhouse in the future as Auriel sensed that the presence of Clint was equal to a Grandmaster instead of a Transcendent.

(You can look at the Auxiliary chapter to know more about power levels.)

'Hmmm, so he will be Transcendent in the near future.' Auriel thought and closed his eyes again to think.

His relationship with Clint seemed good as Daisy said as Clint was sleeping beside him.

Auriel thought that it would be the best choice to get Clint on his side as he was one of the most powerful people in this world. But Auriel didn't want to act like a lecherous, good-for-nothing bastard like the original Auriel to get Clint on his side.

Hence, he began to think about what to do, and an excellent but cliche idea came to his mind.

Which was to act like he lost his memory and act like himself with some habits and demeanor of the original Auriel. He was okay with acting like a lost puppy for a few days instead of acting like a cliche villain.

Though he didn't know how to start his act while Clint was still sleeping like this. That is why he decided to explore the powers that came with being Awakened.

He was pretty excited about his magical abilities as he didn't use anything magical in his whole life as a narrator, he just watched the heroes and villains, who caused havoc with their abilities. Then narrated their life like a story for the Gods.

That is the reason he was eager to know more and use more of his abilities.

He closed his eyes and tried to reach the mysterious power inside him and found it immediately, though it wasn't something he expected.

Because the ability inside him was giving him a very sinister feeling. It was ethereal black threads that were inside of his body.

He used a thought to pull one of the many black strings inside him through his index finger and inspected it.

This ethereal thread was like the original Auriel's, but he could easily tell that this ability was different from the original's threads.

The original's thread was metallic and seemed normal, but this thread was black and ethereal, giving an extremely malevolent feeling.

He tried to tie this thread around his hand for a single command, but it lost its shape and vanished with momentarily low noise.

But that much noise was enough for a Grandmaster, who had improved senses, to wake up.

Clint's eyes opened, revealing his deep purple eyes, just like Auriel's, to the world.

Then after seeing Auriel, who was awake and sensing the remnants of a mysterious power, he smiled slightly.

He got up from his seat and stretched his limbs.

"Riel, my little brother! What a pleasant surprise for you to awaken your potential." Clint exclaimed while going to Auriel. His voice was smooth and gentle, it was obvious that he loved his brother dearly.

Auriel flinched slightly after hearing Clint's words but Clint didn't mind this little detail. He just sat on the bed and gave a big, brotherly hug to Auriel, squeezing his fat body with his strong arms.

"You did great Riel. You can rest more, I will deal with the person who ordered this." He whispered slightly as he patted Auriel's back.

This was a very wholesome moment if Auriel didn't say something that made Clint freeze for a good minute.

"Who are you?"

Auriel's scared voice reached into Clint, making him flinch for a second. He removed his arms around Auriel and took a look at his face for a minute.

After inspecting every nook and cranny of Auriel's expression, his face got darker and held Auriel's shoulders.

"What are you talking about Riel? I am your brother, don't you remember me? It is not good to joke like this, you know? If you stop this right now, I won't be angry." Clint said with almost a calm tone. Almost.

But seeing the clueless and scared face of Auriel, he got up from the bed and stormed off from the room, leaving Auriel alone for the time being.

Auriel released a sigh of relief as he wasn't sure if he could deceive a Grandmaster's senses, but it seems he manages to do it somehow. At least Auriel thought like this even though he himself didn't believe this.
