Back at the cave—

Ruby pulled up his system screen and proceeded to tap the War God reward. He had thought the only way to get minions was through shop points, but it seems like the system also rewards them as a level-up reward.

'If I'm not wrong, this war god will be the most effective minion to join the squad. Well, the only way to find out is by summoning him.'

With those thoughts, Ruby summoned the war god. He waited in anticipation. Unlike his other minions, where he would be able to see and make changes to whatever he wanted, the war god wasn't like that.

'Maybe it's because it was rewarded by the system.'

Sometime later—the space wrapped up and a towering figure of 7 ft appeared. The figure looked more like a human if not for the dual horns protruding out of its head.

His build was similar to that of a bodybuilder, with ripe muscles everywhere. and he was donning Roman battle armor.

Ruby paced back a bit and proceeded to check the minion's tab. If there were any minions he needed to check right now was the war god in front of him.

'This war god looks similar to those Roman gods from the movie.' Ruby thought as he stared at the war god— who was glancing around the cave as though he were lost.

A bit of time passed before the minions' status appeared.

'What?!" Ruby stared at the attributes with a bewildered expression before a smile broke out. '`With his strength and defense Like that, those supes will have a tough time facing this big guy.'

Ruby started approaching the war god with careful strides. He didn't know what the war god's personality would be like, so he decided to be alert.

Walking forward, Ruby finally closed the distance between them, but he was still alert.

"Where is this place?!" The war god asked in a deep, manly voice.

Just from his voice, Ruby could tell the man was no joke. If it were other people, they would have pissed their pants from his voice alone, but since Ruby was the master, it didn't have that effect. I'm him.

"This is earth," Ruby said afterward and studied the war god's expression for any slight change.

"Earth?" The war god asked in a dazed tone as he stared around. "Earth? It seems like I've stayed too long in Olympus that I've forgotten about this place ."

'Olympus? Isn't that where the Roman gods stay according to some mythology?'

"I'm bound to you, right?" The war god said, "I've tried to kill you several times in my head, but anytime I try, I feel a burning sensation."

"Wait! You were trying to kill me?" Ruby pulled the loyalty tab of. the war god.

Ruby closed the tab and opened it again, thinking that it was his eyes playing tricks on him.

However, it was still there. "Jav, what the fuck is this?!"

[«war gods only stay loyal to those stronger than them, but since you're way weaker than him, the loyalty is reduced»]

'I never thought about this possibility, but Jav, is there any other way to increase his loyalty?'

Ruby knew that it would take him a long time before he could catch up to the level of the war god, so he needed another way.

[«Yes, host can increase the level of loyalty by impressing the war god»]

'Through impression, huh?' Ruby thought for a while. 'So he wants me to show off?'

It was the only possibility he could come up with. If he wanted to increase the loyalty level, he needed to show his fighting capabilities.

'Should I challenge him? "Ruby promptly discarded that option. According to the stats of the war god, Ruby knew the outcome would only result in him getting trashed.

'But since the loyalty is this low, it would be much harder for me to use him in battle.'

The level of the minions' loyalty will enable Ruby to control them swiftly and without any hiccups. Since his other minions were all at 100 percent loyalty, he could control them freely, but with the war god, he was having second thoughts.

Sometime later, Ruby said, "Hey, big guy, I'm Ruby." He finally introduced himself, prompting the war god to speak.

"It pains me that I've been bonded to a human as my master, but what can I do?" The war god proceeded to introduce himself.

"My name is Sera, and as my title says, I'm a battle god."

"Does that mean you're stronger in battle?" Ruby knew a lot about these gods' methodology. For one, the gods of battle will be at their peak when they're in battle. The same goes for the other gods as well.

"Yes, I'm stronger in battle, but on this present earth, I don't think there are still battles going on."

"You're wrong. There are still battles going on." Ruby proceeded to explain what the current situation on earth was like.

"Yes, Earth now has superhumans, and these superhumans have godly abilities. For example." Ruby teleported to the other side of the room and appeared back at the spot he was standing before.

Sera was a bit surprised. The gods normally had the mentality that these powers were only compatible with them. 'The humans have found a way to gain powers too.'

Ruby saw the surprised expression on Sera's face. Then a system prompt flashed.

'The loyalty had increased by five. That's good.' Ruby proceeded to use more abilities and demonstrate how advanced humans have become.

The war god was also grasping the situation bit by bit. He could tell that the earth was no longer how it used to be in ancient times. "It seems like this mortal wouldn't be a burden." Sera exhibited a faint smile when he saw Ruby splintering the metal surface of the cave with only a punch.

Although he could do that as well, to see humans do it with such ease was a great feat.

Ruby's plans were working. He was showing off purposefully just to boost his loyalty. And so far, it has worked. After some time, he chatted with Sera before showing him around the cave.

Upon catching a glimpse of the gadgets in the cave, Sera was stunned. Of course, Ruby took this opportunity to show off as well.
