After hearing his sister say that he stopped every action he was doing and turned to look at the letter that was held by his sister. He then walked towards his sister and gently took the letter from her hands to look at it more carefully. There were some words written on the envelope in which the letter was, 'To my son and daughter'. If it were just that it would not have necessarily been a letter for them but they recognized the hand writing and it was indeed from Duke Artim who was their father so the letter was for them.

Ende carefully opened the letter so that it doesn't get torn. Eve moved besides Ende to read the letter with him as the words said for son and daughter. After tearing the envelope carefully, Ende carefully opened the folded letter to look at it's content.

To Ende and Eve 

Hello this is your father, Quin Artim. If you're reading this letter then probably something bad has happened to me or the entire family since you wouldn't be read this letter if not for that.

I put this letter here in preparation of the day that something might happen to me and I would not be there to support or guide you. Now pay attention to the letter as the details of this letter will be important and the letter will self destruct 10 minutes after it has been opened. To escape this forest you'll have to refer to the map as it will have the safest route for you to escape from written on the back of the map, basic supplies like water and food can be found in the cupboard in the room.

now onto more important facts. There is a reason our family was feared a lot by the other nobles and even the royal family, it was because we have the blood of the hero; Martin Artim. He was one of the summoned heroes brought from another world to aid the fight against the demons, he was a legendary figure at that time making the demons tremble when he entered the battlefield. After achieving many accomplishments in the battlefield he was given the status of a duke and the land that was large enough for a duke to govern. It's in this blood that a special ability resides that is feared by the others. We can copy the experience of others in whatever skill they excel in. That means that we can experience what others experienced without going through the whole ordeal. Copying experience from a swordsman can give you the very insights that swordsman got through his ordeal. You won't be able to use the skill instantly as a certain amount of muscle memory needs to be built but the insights you got from copying the experience will boost the learning process exponentially.

But remember copying isn't the only thing you need to do to reach the peak of strength. I am talking so much about power and ways to gain it because if I'm really dead there might still be people behind who will come after you two after I'm dealt with. For that I need you two to be powerful enough to be safe at the very least. Copying will only get you as far as the person you copied but you also have to build your own style you need to excel otherwise you will become a jack of all and master of none and these are the kind of people that tend to die earlier because of not having mastery in anything. That's all I had to recommend you on the power front.

Ende I want you to take yourselves and your sister to marquis Goldrose, they are your mother side's family and they will take good care of you from now and protect you from the outside world until you're capable of doing it yourself. I also want the both of you to join the Lorehaven National Academy in the future so that you make connections and become strong through their teachings. I wish I could spend more time.

After reading the letter Ende and Eve felt sad, but they didn't cry or wallow in sorrow, they don't have the luxury to do so. Ende put the letter on table and picked up the bag. They had to leave the lodge quickly cause the letter was going to self destruct in ten minutes. Ende put the bag on his back and took Eve's hand. They both left the lodge and after ten minutes they heard an explosion sound. 

Ende: 'Dad must've put an explosive rune on the letter to erase all evidence of what was in the letter and the room.'

Ende and Eve then continued ahead following the safe route which was written on the back of the map. Along the way they faced some difficulties in navigating through the map as they were not taught these skills but they persevered and were able to cross the forest.

The first thing they did after coming out of the forest was to look around as they were not sure if there were people that were following them and now that they were in a plain they'll be able to see if there were any followers or not. Luckily there weren't any.

They looked ahead to see if there were any roads nearby that they can follow to reach the nearest village or city. They had to focus a lot in order to spot a road that was a bit far from them. Seeing that there was a road far ahead they started walking parallel to the road so that they can avoid others who are using the road to not get in trouble. They have heard of many people getting robbed, murdered ,and even r@ped by bandits who lie in wait to ambush travelers and merchants that pass by the road. If they get caught it will be even worse for them than an ordinary traveler or merchant as they are way too good looking to be left as it is, they'll surely be played with sexually if not sold in auction to some noble as a slave.

So walking parallel to the road in a distance was the best course of action for them currently.
