Chapter 57 - Winner!!

The audience couldn't get their eyes off from the fight and witnessed two geniuses fighting for victory. Kure Erioh noticed how Haruto, able to have unbelievable control over his body having recovered rather easily from a fatal injury, is nothing but a miracle. On the other hand, both receive injury that their next action can be detrimental in winning the fight.

Haruto shifted his body slightly where Cosmo intuitively reacting and gave his opponent enough time to close the distance and went for a straight jab for a knockout only for the grappler to try to parry trying to break his arms once only for him to receive a kick to the thigh causing him to gritted his teeth in pain.

Cosmo then had his arm grabbed by Haruto and slammed his knee into his abdomen but before it could land the grappler managed to twist his body to the side evade the attack allowing him to wrap himself around haruto.

Like the serpentine that it was named after, Cosmo was able to constrict his boy and trapped Haruto who had his own [ Foresight ] mist calculated having thought that his attack would be enough to knock him out but this only fueled his opponent spirit even more.

'Damn, his Zone is annoying!' Haruto thought himself trying to escape but Cosmo was higher in his application of grappling and this is the first time he fought someone who is an Expert of grappling close to even Low Master or maybe a Master.

"Sorry, my Kouhai but this is the end." He said with a grin, having held his opponent without any escape and tightened his godly like snake while Suoh held her breath in fear seeing Haruto gritting his teeth trying to escape. The audience thought that Cosmo was the winner of the fight but unfortunately this was far from over. Barely half the page of the chapter.

It was that moment Cosmo felt fear then felt Haruto grabbed his ankle and immediately felt the intense pain as Haruto was about to break it forcing him to let go and stepped back wincing feeling his phone and muscle fiber almost completely torn. Everyone gasped in shock seeing Haruto escaped standing more intimidating than before where wiped the blood dripping from his lips looking at Cosmo who was panting.

"I commend you for making me become serious." Haruto said shifting his stance where he took deep breaths and everyone wondered what's about to happen where Cosmo felt dread that he never felt before. Haruto wasn't joking when he said that experience is what he lacks the most.

He was a genius thanks to his genius and countless abilities but Cosmo wasn't far off. Cosmo was able to predict his movement before he could even use them. His not using eyes but every fiber of his being.

'I want to meet his master and learn Grappling. If it wasn't for the fact that his legs were off a bit then I wouldn't be able to escape without using [ Advance ] or even [ Tempest ].'

Haruto thought of only having a handful of his techniques to fight Cosmo to assess his overall prowess. He can't defeat him with sheer technique alone at this moment and had to get even more serious. He couldn't use [ Tachypsychia ] perfectly while blindfolded as his perception is vastly different.

Haruto rushed towards Cosmo in blindspeed and immediately use [ Zone ] seeing him going for a right straight punch only for Haruto shift his attack mid action and easily changing for wheel kick that strike Cosmo push him back while Haruto was done follows by right hook slamming into Cosmo sending him into the wall leaving a massive cracks and forcing Cosmo to cough out blood.

"What a turn of events. The boy actually has the same stance as the fifth fang of Metsudo." Erioh commented seeing how he was able to shift his technique from his initial attack, changing them for another. He could feel that both had yet reached their full potential base solely from the way they fought.

Cosmo couldn't believe how much pain he was in from that attack but felt something flooding into his chest pounding in excitement as he looked at Haruto who close the distance and deliver a straight left punch that was avoided by the grappler and punch Haruto who felt his blow grown heavier as he push back a bit and sense the awakening of his opponent. He started to realize what he truly wanted and not what he told himself.

"Damn, that has broken a tooth." Haruto spat blood as he held his guard and sensed Cosmo initiate an attack going for a strike only for him to change and excited a knee strike that made Haruto stagger a bit. The two distance himself from Haruto and start to feel that he's going to lose if he doesn't take it seriously. It was then Cosmo rushed towards him and gave a straight right jab to Haruto who immediately did the same only for his opponent to let himself fall and grabbed his leg with his own.

Haruto, who didn't expect his action, forced him to fall since he's not in depth with Brazilian JiuJitsu. He only had his master version and it mostly revolved around takedowns rather than grapplers. Haruto tried to escape but Cosmo had more control and moved in a way that trapped him, allowing him to get on top of Haruto and the moment Haruto tried to punch Cosmo back what when he grabbed it then locked into Haruto's chest disabling him in striking back.

'Cosmo is getting stronger.' Akira thought seeing his fighter exude vastly different demeanor than before. On the other hand Haruto had never been in a submissive position in Brazilian JiuJitsu until now. Haruto tried shaking Cosmo but was able to control him quite a bit.

Haruto pushed his hips then wrapped his legs around cosmos neck trying to pull back but Cosmo was tenacious and his awakening was close.

'I knew our fight wouldn't be easy but!' Haruto gritted his teeth trying his best to get Cosmo off him but he held on gritting teeth and wouldn't let go. The grappler did the unthinkable and used his thumb in trying to weaken Haruto but pressing into his wrist.

Unfortunately, he couldn't feel pain and hardly affected Haruto and in the end Cosmo force to let go and Haruto stepped back since he couldn't fight at close range. Both panting heavily and had received almost inseparable damage to their body where Haruto struggled a bit to keep his focus and started to feel pain.

"I finally got it now! It's not I like fighting. What I like isn't fighting at all." Cosmo unexpectedly awakened his latent talent even further than before while Haruto sensed his Sei Ki close to a Master level now. On the other hand, Haruto displayed at most a pinnacle of High disciple or Expert when wearing the blindfold.

"I Like Winning!!" Cosmo showed a scary expression on his face while Haruto grinned where he took a stance but this time around decided to finally take the fight seriously to even the playing field. Haruto took a deep breath and in an instant received blows from Cosmo who wasn't even a striker showing his movement reached a different level of speed!

Cosmo gave his all in trying to push Haruto back who was parrying and offsetting his attacks but even that was not enough for his opponent's new level of power having adapted to the change. He got a lot better in striking and parrying Haruto's attack, delivering several blows that made him wince. The grappler started to grow and surpassed Haruto at the level that he was using. Unfortunately, Haruto waited for him then delivered a combo deluxe to Cosmo.

[ Yuuki Style - Rainfall! ]

Haruto delivered a combo of right strike punch then sweeping elbow strike and followed by his left arm before knee strike Cosmo's head and continued snapping his leg with upward kick and followed by an Axe kick downward. Cosmo took the chance and held onto Haruto's legs but suddenly changed his tactic and stepped back as Haruto attacked and slammed into the ground shaking the floor and causing the audience to stagger.

'If I hadn't avoided that then I would have received that attack earlier!' Cosmo thought while Haruto was impressed that he managed to anticipate his next action. The crowd seemed to cheer seeing both were evenly matched in the fight.

'His started to get better at grappling and his strikes are making me lose my balance.' Haruto panting started to feel the pain since his body and mind was slowly disconnected. He exhaled, shifting his movement while everyone wondered what he was doing.

"I have to say, you are really good Cosmo-chan." His demeanor changes once more where Cosmo felt everything was about to change and worse for him but fuses to give up! This was his fight and he wanted to win!

"Like you, I also want to win!" Haruto let his emotions grow rampant and let his Dou Ki take control instead of Sei Ki. Everyone felt their body shake watching the fight where time seemed to slow down where Haruto reached out and started to lift his blindfold that became a bandanna where everyone was whispering what's going to happen.

"That boy…it can't be!" Erioh's body shook seeing the boy remove his blindfold and finally reveal his inverted colored eyes. The other two Kure recognize the prominent trait of all Kure clan, Wu Clan and Westward faction member prominent trait.

'That's why he's so familiar!? He's spitting images of his mother!' The Kure head couldn't believe his eyes seeing the young man who showed a different demeanor than any other of his clan.

"Hollis, once the fight is over. Make sure you contact the boy immediately." Erioh said, surprising Hollis seeing their clan head and nodded wondering what's their relationship with the boy. Meanwhile, back at the fight Cosmo felt his body shaking as Haruto looked at him seeing nothing but an inferior ant. Haruto is able to see through his movement more vividly, anticipating his next action. Cosmo knew he needed to be the one to attack and vanished from his spot giving his all by striking Haruto then grabbing him to chokehold him.

[ Niko Style - Redirection & Flame Kata: Will-O'-the-Wisp ]

Using the principles of both the Redirection and Flame Katas, Will-O'-the-Wisp is a turning sidekick that redirects the flow of the kick into a full-body stomp. Cosmo was now on the ground and couldn't do anything as Haruto almost hit him if it for the strangler to move his head having graze and for the ground to reverberate that it disoriented Cosmo but immediately stepped back only for him to get pummeled.

A powerful Karate move that uses the fists and strikes the enemies with a rapid and powerful strike all around. Kure Hollis witnessed the technique and knew exactly who the style belonged to.

'For you to have a disciple It's unlike you, Sakaki.' Kure Hollis once fought against Sakaki to assassinate the target that he was protecting. In the end, Hollis couldn't defeat Sakaki who was a combat type but succeeded in his job. Though, they weren't any grudges, simply unfortunate encounters. But in the end, the two met once again and instead of fighting had form a bond of rivalry.

Meanwhile, back to the fight Cosmo felt the blow destroying his body but powered through the pain and took his time and when the right moment came immediately activated [ Zone ] in an armbar hold. Unfortunately, Haruto had [ Foresight ] and his own [ Zone ] then [ Concealed Presence ].

[ Invisible Attack ]

Before Cosmo could do anything, Haruto unleashed a powerful kick by leaning back then snapped his legs where it hit Cosmo's head instantly knocking him out cold. Everyone gasped in surprise and almost felt the force that Cosmo had received and Akira felt grateful considering this is going to make his fighter even stronger than before!

He finished up with a powerful kick to the abdomen making sure that he was finally defeated where Cosmo flew meters away and slammed into him unconscious. Haruto panting since the intense fight left him mentally drained but still enjoyed the fight.

'Didn't expect that I had to make sure I won't slip up since he was getting stronger as the fight continued.' Haruto thought since he had to consider all of his technique since only using his [ Ryuusui Seikuken ] wpuld

The referee checked and called the winner for the Kengan Match.

"Winner! Haruto Yuuki, The Tempest!"
