59 Chapter 58 - Lineage

Everyone didn't expect the outcome of the fight and how intense it was. Both combatants were evenly matched in terms of technique and skills. The two were geniuses when removing Haruto's augmenting skills then the two were evenly matched. He was lucky that Cosmo slipped and wasn't able to grapple him since it would be over if he gets trapped again.

Haruto pulled down his blindfolds then looked at where Cosmo was and saw his employer align with the paramedics checking for his vitals. He turned to his own employer where Suoh was running up to him and immediately jumped to hug him. Haruto caught her since he didn't want Suoh to hurt herself and unconsciously held her waist. Byakko sat close to them like a good boy that he is.

"Thank goodness you're alright!" She tightened the embrace not wanting to let him go after experiencing the nerve wracking fight made her rethink a lot of things. her feelings towards him and how she wanted to do more for him.

"Told you I'll win. But can you let go since people might think we're a couple…" Haruto said hoping to avoid having more women since his list is stacking from Lala, Miu, Honoka to Ghislaine, Shigure and recently Renka Ma! He wondered what he had been doing for this many girls to feel attracted to him!?

There also Risa and Mio, the perverted duo then Ryouko Mikado and shockingly Haruna! He didn't expect his brother to have a crush on him. Unfortunately, his action was far too deep especially for Suoh who pulled back a bit looking at his face then smiled.

"I don't mind…you save me from a dark and lonely place. I don't think any man would be willing to do that for me." Suoh's last boyfriend bailed out the moment trouble was stacking up and she was completely on her own. She had countless sleepless nights constantly in fear of losing everything! But Haruto reaches out his hand and saves her from drowning in despair. They only knew each other for a month yet she felt safe and compelled to give herself to him.

"Uhmm…" Haruto is unsure if he should reject her since he does find Suoh attractive and charming in her own cute manner. While he was deep in his thoughts, warm lips seeped against his and received a kiss from her. It was short yet felt amazing where Haruto understands that she wants to go back down.

"I won't take a No for an answer. If you have a girlfriend then I'll try to be—" Suoh was about to say something when Haruto placed his finger on her lips. She forgot that he mentioned Lala but considering that she was drunk obviously going to forget.

"Let's talk about this after getting something to eat, alright?" Haruto said and she nodded as Suoh let go then went to take her money while he waited for her when he sensed something coming their way. He could feel their power vastly superior to Cosmo and it was getting closer.

"Young man." He heard the voice and recognized it then lifted his blindfold to see the one and Only Kure Erioh who was inspecting his face and body.

"How much I help you?" Haruto was a bit nervous seeing that fighting them wouldn't be easy and decided to use his reward from the fight to see exactly how strong they were.

Solely based from what he can see, it was clear that the former fang was a formidable opponent that was stronger than even the grandmaster from Ryozanpaku when he was in his prime.

"We have been watching your fight and I am impressed that you would use the technique of the Superhuman Hayato." Erioh said wanting to not jump in trying to find the truth even though he hoped that it was the case.

"You know, Elder? Who are you anyway, Gramps?" Haruto carelessly asked, surprised that he would be called like that and instead of getting angry simply chuckled.

"Right, you're still new. I am Kure Erioh, head of Kure Clan and these two are Kure Hollis and Kure Reiichi." The kure head introduced themselves while Haruto checked their status noticeably weaker than Erioh prime showing they were EX.

"Ah, the clan of assassins that the elders mention. I didn't expect to meet you here. Are you here to ask about my eyes?" Haruto wondered if he was actually part of the Kure without him even knowing. Erioh nodded, deciding to get straight to the point.

"...Yes, tell me are your parents your biological?" Erioh asked and recovered a shake of the head from Haruto. This only fueled their theory and the Kure head regained some hope.

"You're making it sound like I'm part of your clan?" Haruto is unsure what to feel, learning that he could be someone from a clan of assassins and killers. Erioh nodded looking at his face, seeing the uncanny resemblance from one of his parents. Haruto's eyes widened under his blindfold and never expected that his nagging feeling was true! How is it possible!?

If it was the case then he wouldn't even feel disgusted that they were assassins nor change their ways since their actions benefit the world as a whole. He was not Batman that enforced what he believed, especially the Kure Clan.

"Yes, even without a DNA test you already gave me enough to know you're my Great-Grandson. Your face resembles a lot like your mother." Haruto was unsure what to say since he wasn't expecting to find out what his biological family would be.

"....I-I don't know what to say. To be honest, everything seems unreal." He wondered if things were happening too fast and always dreamt of finding his biological parent but gave up after some time. Haruto wondered if it was a lie since his ability came from the system.

'Wait…what if most of my abilities are those that are compatible with me?' Haruto pondered the possibility and looked at the Kure member. He wondered if his reaction was appropriate since deep inside his heart was telling him that it was the truth.

"Right, you're going to celebrate your victory, yes? Then why don't I be the one to pay for it and discuss it with your parents." Erioh suggested where Haruto looked at Suoh who finished up walking toward him then saw Erioh and felt her body run cold having heard about their clan knowing she could be killed if she wasn't careful.

"Ms. Mihono, congratulations on your victory." Suoh was a bit surprised but immediately thanked him for it.

"Uhmm, is there anything you need from my fighter?" She wanted to celebrate as soon as possible and Erioh nodded telling her about their plan. Suoh was unsure but couldn't refuse, afraid that something might happen. She felt a bit annoyed that meant they wouldn't have the privacy to discuss their relationship.

Time passed by and the group arrived at some seafood buffet restaurant where the group sat down getting a bit started from people feeling the intense coldness around while Suoh felt anxious rather than excited. Byakko sat on her lap while the men discussed something.

"Firstly, I apologize for intruding like this but it is of great importance. As compensation, I'll make sure your company can be well guarded by the Kure." Erioh said shocking Suoh considering getting a favor from the Kure meant a lot! Still, she can't shake the feeling of disappointment and annoyances that they were getting in their way.

"I-It's fine…" Suoh shakingly said as her lips quiver in fear and Erioh turned his attention to Haruto as he ordered some food.

"Now then, your name, Haruto, was given by your mother. Her name is Haru Kure and is an anomaly from the Kure clan. She doesn't have the heart of an assassin as her heart is filled with kindness." Erioh remembers her granddaughter and how she was vastly different from everyone else. She was one of the people that he doted on before his great granddaughter came along.

"However, despite being against killing she had my combat capabilities and even violent tendencies. She was carefree and sought to live as freely as she could." Haruto hadn't met his mother yet and felt overwhelmed joy hearing more about her while Suoh listened and understood that her fighter was adopted and now was meeting his real family.

"She even graduated from Nangokuren High School, a school that has an overly violent culture, and abides by the law of nature where the strongest survives, while the weak perishes. Hohoho I can still remember her beating everyone." He was reminiscing about the past while Haruto's mind felt a new memory resurfaced the moment it was mentioned, remembering another story called Dragon Rioting!

'Fuck this world has too many BS!' Haruto thought that there are many worlds that shouldn't exist in a single one. He inwardly sighs since he can't change the world and only reacts to it.

"You're mother was undefeatable that surpasses me even in my prime despite her lack of blood in her hands. Unfortunately…" Erioh felt his bloodlust rising remembering the tragedy that befall them. Everyone in the room felt it while Hollis and Reiichi immediately tried to calm their clan head.

"Apologies, I didn't intend to lash out. But moving on, your mother wanted to explore the world and get even stronger. During her travels, that's when she met your father." He still felt annoyed remembering that his granddaughter would have been taintent.

"Who's my father…" Haruto wondered who could be his father. He wondered who his father would be and felt that the person will be strong since the Kure Clan tends to search for strong individuals to take into their clan.

"A man who is the epitome of raw power and strength that held the title of "World Strongest Creature on earth." Yujiro Hanma is your father." Haruto's eyes widened and astonished to learn who his father would be! This revelation disgusted him considering what kind of person the Ogre was!! Haruto was confident that his mother simply took the chance and gave birth to a strong offspring.

Haruto was surprised and confused why it only pops now. Perhaps because he can't deny it? Regardless, this means his power is immensely higher than ever before.

This should be discussed in a more private place but no one even dared to listen in their conversation in fear of being killed therefore they were safe to discuss it. Suoh was fine since she was Haruto's employer.

"Then where is my mother?" Haruto asked while Erioh faced grimaces and it's clear that something might have happened to her.

"Your mother…was targeted and unfortunately lost her life. We tried finding you but to no avail." Erioh pained to think about his granddaughter being killed like that. She was mutilated and had her body on display during the time they arrived mocking the Kure Clan.

"Then who killed my mother?" He felt anger rising from the depth of his heart despite not having any memory of his biological mother but still felt her life for some reason.

"We haven't found the answer. The kure Clan has too many enemies but we are still trying to find the one responsible." The kure head reassured having vowed to kill all of those involved in the most painful and gruesome death imaginable. Haruto fell silent knowing that whoever killed his mother would have an unimaginable level of strength even if she was ambushed.

"What's important is that we have found you and hoped that you'll come with us to meet with the rest of our family."
