Saphira had just finished slaughtering the demonic beasts in the mountain and had just finished washing herself and her clothes.
She just dried them when the rain suddenly came pouring down.
She looked up and chuckled, "Quite an unlucky day indeed."
She sat down and leaned on a tree without bothering with the rain, letting it drenche her newly dried clothes.
She was leaning on the tree with her eyes closed when the rain that was pouring on her face disappeared.
Opening her eyes she saw an earth shade above her.
"Hunter," she called looking on her side.
And there he was drenched in rain and was simply looking at her.
"Why don't you sit down beside me?" she smiled patting the spot beside her.
He walked over and sat down beside her.
Saphira created fire that engulfed the both of them drying up their drenched clothes.
"I'm sorry."
They said at the same time.
"I'm sorry I couldn't simply say everything out in the open. As a carefree person, laughing here and there. I am not as open as one should be. I am not so strong that once I stopped laughing I will be fine."
Saphira went ahead and spoke.
True to what his father told him, Saphira was indeed doing her best to stay sane.
"I'm sorry I tried to push you when you are at your limit," he followed.
He placed his hand on top of hers that was resting on the ground.
"I won't do that again, I will do my best to understand where you are coming from and simply stay here. And I'm sorry I tried to call off the engagement."
Saphira smiled, "Did you know that was really painful?"
Hunter pursed his lips.
"Your support is not about you giving me kind words and anything. But your support was simply being there beside me. Seeing your back in front of me and knowing you are there behind me. That was the greatest support I could ever ask for. So don't ever think that you couldn't support me at all."
Hunter nodded his head.
They were silent for a while when Saphira suddenly giggled.
"What is it?"
She looked at him, turning her hand in order to hold his that was on top of hers.
"I just felt so happy that our fight didn't last long. I wouldn't know what to do if it did."
Hunter smiled and used his other hand to ruffle her hair, "My father is watching us too closely. It seems he didn't want us to fight too long as well."
"So it was the Emperor who made you come all the way here to look for me."
"You're wrong, it was the Emperor who made me see what we both are lacking. But it is my decision to come all the way here to pick you up."
Saphira smiled before she continued watching the rain falling.
Both of them stayed like that until they had fallen asleep leaning on each other.
The next day, Saphira went home to rest more and was definitely berated by her mother and father for leaving just like that.
She apologized over and over again before she was finally freed from her parent's nagging.
On the other hand, Hunter approached his father.
"I have a request," he said determination in his eyes.
"Oh what could it be?" Reginald responded.
"Train me with the sword," Hunter went direct to the point.
Reginald looked at him seriously.
"I know of the fact that you were once known as the second only to the former Emperor of Scorpius Empire. Or you might even be better because they said that there was really no proof that you had lost."
Reginald sighed, he didn't expect that his past would be known by his own son.
He had long cast away his sword due to how arduous the battles were back in the day.
Even though they wanted nothing but peace, there are still times where other Empires and Kingdoms would try and cause chaos.
At some point, Qillian Empire and Scorpius Empire joined hands to defeat a few other Kingdoms that joined together.
It was during that time that the former Emperor of Scorpius Empire disguised himself as a soldier and sparred with some other knights.
He was among those whom he had sparred with and their sparring last longer than the rest.
He was able to give him a few beating and same goes the other way around.
Their battle didn't finish because the attackers have arrived that they needed to regroup.
It was only a few months later before they found out that that soldier was actually the Emperor of that time.
"You were younger than him but you were able to keep up and even give him a beating. I don't think my father would lose out against him," Hunter once again said.
Hunter found out about this from the current Emperor of Scorpius Empire. The time he spent there allowed him to know a few things about his father.
"What's with the sudden change of attitude?" Reginald asked him.
"If I wanted to become stronger, become someone who can be her full support. Who can protect her back, who can stand beside her and who could lead her. Then the only way was for me to keep strengthening everything about myself."
The events that passed seemed to have allowed Hunter to see that he was still lacking in so many ways.
A smile appeared on Reginald's lips.
Hunter had always been strong, could be on par with Saphira or even he might be stronger than her. Just that he always thinks of his duties first before anything else.
His attention had always been divided into everything, his duties in every aspect of it.
"I will ask brother to take a few things from as well," Hunter then added.
"Don't worry about that. I am very much willing to take everything at your plate right now. Though you have to take it back once the time comes. This is only temporary."
Both of them looked at Gideon who spoke, he came to check on them and heard their conversation.
"Then I'll leave everything to you," Hunter didn't decline.
