All seven was then called back to the palace a day later.
It was to announce their mission and their squad.
At the same time, it will be to announce who will lead them.
Each of them were asked before the beginning of who do they think were the most appropriate commander of their squad.
"I will never get use to this uniform," Saphira commented as she pulled the collar of their uniform.
It was a blue and black one, with the sleeve reaching before their elbow. Buttons with gold laces over them to connect the blue top covering the black under.
It was a one piece one with the design looking like it was a two piece clothing.
The collar covered half of the neck.
It reached their thigh and it was paired with leggings in a dark gray color.
"You have to get use to it. For all our missions after this, it will be our main clothing," Hunter told her, lightly smacking her head with his fist.
She grimaced at his words, "But as long as we are not in a mission, I can wear whatever I like."
He raised an eyebrow before shaking his head in defeat.
All seven stood straight when the guard called for them that the emperor was ready to meet them.
With back straight they entered the great hall and knelt before the emperor.
"Long live the Emperor."
"I have called the seven of you today for a reason I know you are already aware of. The darkness is once again rising and the duty of our Empire is to subjugate them at any cost, protecting the world from evil. The seven of you who were sent to train individually are now called back to accept this duty," Reginald started speaking.
He talked about the pact that was made hundreds of years ago regarding the unification of the eight kingdoms.
Then he talked about the descendants of the seven families who took up the front line of this duty.
The seven of them present being the current descendants facing this predicament.
"That is why all of you are called back because the movements of darkness have increased. You are still young but I have heard how much all of you have improved for the past 8 years."
He started talking about their achievements in the kingdoms they were sent to, except for Saphira, her achievement was mentioned to have been great but he didn't disclose just where this information came from.
The officials became baffled but the much higher up knew the reason behind this.
Saphira was sent on a different Empire not under their jurisdiction. If they knew of this, they might use information she holds to exploit Scorpius Empire.
Some officials are still adamant that they take over the other nearby kingdoms and Empires and Reginald didn't want that.
Not only him but even the other heads of the seven families.
What they have now is more than enough.
Plus if they are to take over the other Kingdoms and Empires, wouldn't that mean that they were the first to turn their backs on their promise?
And how much more chaos will they have with non-ending wars left and right?
What about the children?
How will they have a peaceful future?
This is what the rest of the nobles are lacking right now.
They think that conquering is better than being passive.
They never stopped to think if the outcome will be good or not.
Reginal and the rest of the heads are the ones who were thinking about this.
Saphira being a knight right now will be at a disadvantage despite the fact that she was part of the seven families.
Especially with the current condition of their family.
They may still be nobles but the judgment of people are not to their favor. The official wanting to expand the Empire might use the people to have her tell them the information.
The world of politics is a very complicated world and knowing Saphira's nature, she would surely choose being condemned for not helping the Empire prosper than to divulge any information she holds.
"And so on this day, I am announcing the creation of a new order for the Platinum knights that will take charge of the mission in subjugation of the monsters."
He announced taking back the attention of the officials.
"The Order of the Seven Myths and its commander being," he looked down at them.
"Saphira Fiamma, of the Fiamma Dukedom in Qillian Empire."
Saphira's head snapped up when she heard her name.
She wasn't expecting this at all, their family was in decline due to the support they lost after what happened 8 years ago.
So why is she the one being bestowed with the position of a commander?
When asked, she replied that she chose Hunter to be one.
If she was deemed to be the commander, it means that most votes were for her.
She looked around and saw that Drake was having a displeasured look.
Willow just sighed because even though she didn't vote for her, she knew this might become the outcome.
And when she looked at Hunter, she could see that he had voted for her as well.
That means that there are three people who didn't vote for her.
Herself, Willow and Drake.
"The promise, you have to uphold it," Reginald, seeing as she was hesitaing, spoke about what they had talked about the day before.
While the rest were thinking that he was giving her the duty to uphold the promise the Empire had given the world.
Saphira looked at him and pursed her lips before bowing down again, "I shall accept this position and I will make sure that I will uphold all the promises that were made, your majesty."
Hunter looked at her with furrowed brows.
She and his father are obviously speaking of something.
Something only the two of them knew.
'I never would have thought that he would use that promise to make me hold this position,' she thought trying to ignore the look Hunter was giving her.
