CHAPTER 356: Finally The War Is Over

Another bright light came from the ruins and they all watched Saphira walked over, still with her golden hair and eyes. The glittering gold in her skin, the intricate linings on her face and her golden wings.

Though other than her, there were two a bit translucent people beind her.

All the head's eyes went wide, not just them but even the parents.

Yes, the parents have returned after the sky turned dark.

All the seven families were complete at the moment.

Even the siblings.

All of them were obviously shock to see these two.

Drake's family rushed to Ardel while Saphira's famil rushed to her and Raynisha.

They don't have [hysical bodies but they can still be touched.

It was a tearful reunion for everyone.

"Oh my baby," Fatima and Carmilla cried at the same time.

"I'm sorry mother, father, grandfather, everyone, for not coming back from that mission as the real me. Causing all of this," Ardel apologized with a tearful smile.

They shook their head, "That was never your fault. Not once did we blame you for anything."

"The ones to be blamed are the adults, who left it to all of you to take care of the dark forces. We thought we were training you but in reality we were simply leaving all responsibility on your dshoulders. Forgive us," Reginald spoke.

Ardel smiled brightly, the smile that gives warmth to every person's heart.

"Truly if he never died, he is much more capable in being the light ability user," Saphira spoke to Lily and Vermilion Bird.

Vermilion Bird agreed while Lily has her own thoughts.

But if it were just the heart then she can tell that this person indeed has the kindest heart.

Saphira's wngs slowly disappeared and the golden sparkle on her skin slowly followed.

Ardel and Raynisha noticed this.

"I guess it is almost time now."

They gave their parents one last hug and telling them how grateful they were for being born in their respective families.

Then the two of them faced the group of eight.

"Can we a hug as well?"

They each approached them.

"You as well," Raynisha spoke looking at Felix who were hesitating.

And so he walked closer, they walked over and hugged the two.

"Nixon and Stormie, you two are already together and when it comes to maturity, you two are the ones who showed greatest growth."

Nixon grinned while rubbing his nose, tears freely falling from his eyes.

Stormie smiled as she sniffed before wrapping her arms around Nixon's waist.

"Felix, thank you for becoming their friend and giving them a whole load of support. For risking your life together with them. Thank you."

Felix scratched the back of his neck while laughing but his eyes were also filled with tears.

"Ridge, you are the one who showed the greatest growth when it coems to strength and power. We are so proud in being your first trainers."

Ridge nodded his head while wiping his nose with his handkerchief.

Ardel faced Drake, "I caused you grief. Too much grief and even misunderstandings and hatred. But you overcame them all and found yourself protecting the one you love instead of hating your precious friend. I'm sorry Drake, your brother is quite weak."

Drake shook his head, "You will always be my hero."

Ardel looked at Willow, "I leave him to you. I know from the get go that you are the only one who can truly make him happy. Thank you for loving him a second time."

Willow couldn't reply and could onl hug him again.

Raynisha looked at Saphira and Hunter together.

"I have already given my goodbyes to her. So please take care of my sister. She is willful, stubborn, loves to do things on her own. But she also weak, a crybaby, a person who breaksdown only when it is already too much. But still I hope you can love her and protect her like you always do."

Hunter blinked the tears in his eyes away, "I promise."

Raynisha smiled nad walked over to hug them both.

"We are so proud of you all."

The intricate lining on Saphira's face diappeared while her hair slowly returned back to its ruby color.

"It is time for us to go," Ardel sighed as he reached his hand towards Raynisha.

"It was a long journey. We're sorry for being the ones who brought you all the pain. Despite that we were happy we still got the chance to witness everything," he added just as he and Raynisha slowly became transparent.

"I love you, "Ardel and Raynisha mouthed to their families.

And their family could only cry.

But gone was the heavy feeling.

Instead they felt light and warm, they were happy that they could bid them goodbye.

"It was a short life but it was fulfilling," they said at the same time before completely disappearing, leaving behind Ardel's body.

On the other hand, Saphira collapsed, Hunter catching her on time.

"You have truly worked hard," he whispered giving her an emotional kiss on the forehead.

Finally the war is over.

And finally they got back the bodies of all the elite squad.

The tragedy of more than ten years ago came to a close with this battle.

They cried, they laughed, they experienced hatred.

They mourned, they got hurt, experienced jealousy and pain.

But they grew, they matured, they became stronger.

All the experiences weren't blissful but each of it gave them the development they needed to become the knights who protected their empire.

They felt that finally everything is over.
