CHAPTER 334: Climb Back Up From Hell Itself

Ardel had a frown on for a few weeks now.

"What is it?" Flora asked as her hands snaked around his waist.

He looked down at her but didn't push her away.

On the other side, Raynisha and Samuel stood side by side.

"I am feeling something," he replied looking up.

With a deeper frown he closed his eyes.

They snapped open after about ten minutes and then he suddenly laughed.

"So that was your game all along. Smart, you are smart, you were able to deceive me for so long."

As he laughed, the miasma surrounded him in a chaotic manner.

Flora suddenly felt scared that she stepped away from him, she can feel that Ardel was about to unleash an attack.

But was also bewildered as he indignant on not yet letting the outside world know where they currently are.

He was still absorbing darkness and wants to receive more that he made them hide.

"I knew it was a wrong move to leave you all alone for the time being. You didn't self destruct at all. You were even able to develop more than when I left you alone."

He kept laughing even though what speaks should make one feel mad.

Feel mad that the one he left alone to end themselves have become stronger instead.

"I never expected to meet a person such as yourself. You can climb back up from hell itself," he laughed before the miasma that was erratically surrounding him rushed up in his command.

*BOOM*

All those in the empire who was living their lives like they usually do.

Selling in the market.

Buying daily necessities.

Working at clothes shops, restaurants, bars and many more.

Training and patrolling.

Office works and other mundane activities.

All of them stopped when the imperial prison suddenly exploded and the whole building that was engulfed with darkness.

The miasma rushed around taking every person it could touch, turning them to darkness.

"Vermilion Bird!!!" Saphira called out.

There was no shock in her voice, not even panic. Instead, there was only urgency in it.

*SCREECH*

Vermilion Bird in his giant form, rushed up in the sky and blew a fire breath towards the imperial prison.

He opened his beak and, in a voice, only a few were familiar with, he spoke.

"Gideon, Lerissa, move faster."

Four words, there were only four words but it caused the whole empire to be baffled.

Lerissa, who was in her laboratory when the explosion happened, run out and called forth her vines all over the imperial city.

Her move was truly fast and what shocked the rest of the people was that the vines were all over the imperial city.

Big and long, each vine was planted at every possible place.

As a person who always stays indoors, no one would have ever thought that she has this much power. No one not even her family.

Lerissa had been hiding her strength all along.

People bullied her for looking weak despite the fact that she was born in the ducal family of Amethyst.

Her potions and poisons were all imbued in her vines and the vines waving around in the imperial city were imbued with potions.

She stood on the castle walls and waved her hand, the vines moved and held on a few people.

Shouts everywhere were being heard but no one was being hurt and instead, the vines were actually pulling them away. Away from the imperial city.

The next that they saw were water bubbles that are enveloping the people. Small air bubble would appear on this water bubbles where the people enveloped by it are free to breath.

Some other plants and wind magical powers are used as well here and there.

They moved faster than the miasma that more people were moved away than those that were attacked.

As for these people who were close to being attacked, other people are helping them.

This movement that not even the seven families knew, not even Reginald or Felissa.

The only ones who knew was obviously Saphira, Gideon, Lerissa and the people Saphira spoke to them about.

"What's going on?" Reginald asked as the sudden explosion arrived while he was discussing things with Gideon.

Yet even with hhis shock, he realized that Gideon's shock was momentary and a look of expectation appeared on his face.

"Father!!"

He looked up to see that the Order of the Seven Myths have actually arrived. Hunter was the one who called him.

"I will explain everything but for now we have to focus. The dark lord have realized our movements and have now decided to attack," Saphira speak up.

Reginald could see that she was the least bit shock at what exactly was going on.

"Attacked? That was an attack from them? Then does that mean-"

He stopped as terror appeared in his face together with the rest who realized it a bit sooner than him.

They too were baffled when Saphira just called for them to assemble.

They were of course ready since they are aware that they would go into war anytime. Just that they didn't expect for it to happen on within the empire that was built with two barriers.

Wait...

Two barriers?

They turned to Saphira.

"You were already aware of this when you had us erect those two barriers?" Hunter asked her.

"I was and because I was, I couldn't tell you all because I know we were still lacking. So many people will get involve if we just went ahead and blindly attacked them. And so I made us erect two barriers. One for the whole land as a means of protection from outside attacks and another in this empire, in order not to get the neighboring ones involved. At the very least I wanted everything to stay within the imperial city."

They can see how much she wanted to save as many people as she can as she speak of this.
