CHAPTER 190: They Aren't Always In Harmony

"Remember this Stormie, I never wanted to hear any of you speaking in such a way again towards the others. We may not know it or it may not be our intention but those words could be the beginning of a rift between our group."

Even though they once had a riff, it started off because of a tragedy, not between themselves.

But if one were to be started by one of them, then the damage might be even bigger than what one would have expected.

"I'm sorry, commander," Stormie replied knowing full well that Saphira was speaking as the commander at this moment.

"As long as you understand and have learned something from this, I have nothing more to say."

With a sigh, Saphira left, misunderstanding will always arise no matter what.

They won't be able to stop that since they are a group.

A group of different people.

There is no such thing as two people who are completely the same.

And because of that, misunderstanding will always arise, together with it were fights.

That is something a group could never evade especially in the wronf run.

The seven families were the same.

They aren't always in harmony.

The thousand years that passed wasn't all about being friendly.

They had fights between families that took time before it was resolved.

At this moment, Saphira didn't wish for their group to be fight free, instead she wanted for them to resolve things as soon as possible.

For they have greater enemies ahead of them.

Harmony is the best way for a group to fight at their best.

"Sorry Willow, for venting out on you even though I was the one in the wrong," Stormie apologized to Willow, who had to listen to her nonsense.

Willow shook her head, "I don't know how to tell you that you were wrong as well. I am glad Saphira had the authority in her. It is faster for all of us to listen to her."

This was especially after Saphira relinquished her position the very first time.

That left a strong impact on each of them because they realized just how messy they were without someone who is capable enough in leading them.

Stormie laughed before shaking her hands, they had been numb all this time.

"She didn't hold back at all, in her attacks," she commented.

After taking a breather, "I'll go and look for Nixon."

Willow nodded and she watched Stormie walk away.

She then glanced at Drake and Felix, both were silently standing on the side.

"I guess we all learned another lesson today," she said with a shrug.

Felix bowed his head, he was conceited himself.

Too conceited.

At the same time, he realized that he still haven't integrated well enough in their group.

Saphira's words of him returning home was because if he had spoken back then and sided with Stormie, Stormie wouldn't have accepted her mistake so easily.

This would cause more rift in their group than what was already created.

He felt a hand on his shoulder.

"If she is straightforward, then that means she seriously wish for you to improve. If she simply played around, laughing with you without getting mad whether you are right or wrong. That means she has no desire to become more than an acquaintance with you."

Drake seriously gave him this advise.

It was because Saphira acted this way that they knew Felix is now part of their group and not just someone who tagged along.

Though it still irked them a bit that Stormie had to compare Nixon with Felix, who had just joined the group.

And Felix who took pride on that could feel that even with the advise, Drake seemed to have taken one step back from the closeness they had build.

The relationship he was building with them took a turn because of what had happened.

And no, he wasn't blaming Stormie about it.

It is because if he were to be compared by her to Nixon, he would surely be angered or hurt.

He can also tell that he must have had a gloating look on his face a while ago.

He was cursing himself as he walked back while Drake and Willow walked ahead of him.

For now, what he can do is think that his relationship with them have reset.

He was back to square one where he needs to slowly build the trust and closeness he wished to have with them.

That all his hardwork in the past months were flushed down the drain.

And that's when he remembered, it is time for him to return home.

He sighed heavily, he created a mess right before returning.

How is he going to come back to their side then?

Will they still be willing to allow him to return?

Upon returning, the first person he saw was Saphira, he lowered his head but still approached her.

"I..."

Saphira looked at him, she was reading yet another book, a book they got from all the research they made on barriers while she was asleep.

"I... have to go back home for now," he continued.

He also added "for now" in order to convey his feeling that he still wants to travel with them.

"I see," Saphira replied before closing the book.

"I can also see that you have realized what had happened today and the mistake that you have made," she added.

Felix nodded his head.

"I can tell you know that you will have to work harder if you really want to integrate yourself in this group. And that you must never forget that we have spent a lot of time with one another, allowing our bond to be deeper. A single miss on your side and you would end up receiving the ire of the rest."

Felix once again nodded his head.

"I am not trying to make you look bad, but I understand the look you had when Stormie compared Nixon to you. I was not there but I can tell."
