First aid

" That girl is indeed really brainy, brother Lu," a boy dressed in a dark green school coat and white shirt with beige pants and red tie turned in his seat to look at the boy who was sitting behind him with a nasty grin playing on his lips. " No wonder you want her to sleep with you, I heard the brainy ones are the wildest."

Lu Cheng raised his head and smirked at the boy who was speaking to him, he turned to look at Xua Ying Yue and licked his lips lightly as he said, " But of course, do you think that just anyone can be worthy of sleeping by my side? You don't have any idea but that girl actually got a straight hundred in the exam she gave for getting admission to our school. Even my dad was impressed by her skills."

His eyes flickered as he noticed how Xua Ying Yue despite sensing that he was looking her way refused to look at him. Seeing her act so determined as she resisted the temptation only made him adore her a little more, his lips quirked a bit more and he rubbed his chest as he sighed, " Too bad, that little girl doesn't want to give it up yet. Looks like your brother has to work a bit too hard for her but you know Si Yi, the harder the chase——"

" The greater the taste," Si Yi finished for Lu Cheng with a loud guffaw as he slapped his thigh and then turned to look at the boy who was sitting next to him reading silently and nudged him in the ribs. " What do you have to say eh? Brother Ren? Isn't she a perfect package for you as well?"

Ren Nianzu who was sitting next to Si Yi lifted his head from the book he was reading and casually looked at Xua Ying Yue who was sitting at the last bench, his phoenix eyes calmly swept over her and he clicked his tongue. " She is pretty but she is only brainy and not smart, nothing that will hold my interest for too long."

" Who wants to hold interest in women for long?" Lu Cheng who heard his best friend's words was amused as he kicked the back of his chair and then said, " We use and throw them, if you are looking for interest then you might as well look for a rich missy who will bring you some advantages after marrying you. Why would you waste your time on women like her?"

Ren Nianzu turned to look at Lu Cheng and quirked a brow. " I thought you liked her?"

Lu Cheng settled back in his chair and smiled at Ren Nianzu mysteriously, " I am only getting her back." He turned to look at Xua Ying Yue and snorted. " Learn from her, as if."

Xua Ying Yue did not know the conversation that happened between the three boys, she was in a hurry to get out of the class and leave as soon as possible. She did not want to give Tan Jing and the other two another chance to corner her and thus when the bell of the last period rang, she picked up her bag and dashed out of the room before anyone else did.

Of course, she heard Tan Jing shouting 'chicken' behind her but she did not care. She needed to go back and get rid of these bandages that were covered with sweat.

Xua Ying Yue lived at the downtown, where small apartments were rented for a really cheap price. Her sister tried her best but given that she had to drop out because she needed to take care of her younger sister, Xua Yenay did not have any qualifications to work at a decent place, she could only work in a restaurant as a cook and dishwasher.

The building where Xua Ying Yue lived was an old building with yellowing peeling paint, it did not have any lift and only had a small metal staircase that wobbled a little too much even though the residents of the building have complained about it they have met with their landlord's outrageous demand of increasing the rent and ever since then no one spoke anything against the landlord.

If they had money from the start would they be living in a place like this? Everyone knew that they were being bullied but with no money in their pockets to melt the cold heart of the Landlord they could only allow themselves to be bullied.

Xua Ying Yue walked up the wobbling staircase and then trodded past the dingy corridor that only had a single yellow lamp that flickered with every passing second to her small apartment. She pushed the door of her apartment ignoring the box of lingerie that had a paper with the word 'wh*re' written on it but then thought of something and picked them all up in her arms.

Since they have left it behind then it would be too bad if she did not make use of it.

Xua Ying Yue walked inside her apartment with the box of lingerie and then walked over to the small brazier that was kept in the corner and poured all the lacy fabric into it. The winters were here and at night the single-room apartment would get a bit too cold, thus she could at least use these to warm herself up.

She did not even flinch as she lit up a matchstick and flicked it at the expensive lingerie, instead she walked over to the bedside cabinet and then took out a first aid box. A year ago she did not need something like this because she was too sturdy and never even caught a fever but now a year later——

Xua Ying Yue took off her coat, following it was her shirt as she threw it down next to the coat and looked down at her arms that were covered with cigar marks and knife cuts —-and sighed. Now she could not go without this first aid kit for even a day.
