Fabian looked at Delilah, flabbergasted.
She heard it?
He cleared his throat.
"I am sorry for that. She… she was an important part of my life. Someone I had grown fond of because of her resilience and competitive nature. But more than that, I liked her for her good heart. Though she acted unhinged sometimes, she was pure-hearted," Fabian said a little dreamily as he thought about all his moments with Katherine.
Delilah, gauging his reaction and words, paused for a second.
What did he say? Did he like her?
"You liked her?" Delilah asked before she could control her mouth, and Fabian took a deep breath.
"It doesn't matter anymore. She died because of some misunderstanding," he said.
Delilah suppressed the urge to scoff at the man's face.
