6 Lydia Martin!

(AN: So I read a comment that I feel like I should address. Weaknesses! I did go over it briefly but I'll talk about it again. Really vampires weakness in this fic is the sun. They can still go out in it but they'll be tired and lethargic and probably significantly weakened. They'll still be stronger than a human maybe on par or slightly weaker than an Alpha werewolf. They do go stronger the longer they live though. I'm kinda using a mix of things as far as my vampire lore for this. Like Mary when she was a newborn vamp she was probably ridiculously strong but not stronger than Ray since he is an older vamp but she would be stronger than a vamp that's only been turned for a few years. If any vamps woke up like he did they would be way stronger than her though and probably stronger than Ray but I don't think I'll be adding any vamps unless they've been turned by Ray. I may bring back Alaric{the vamp that bit Ray} but that would probably be much later. Rant over! Enjoy!)

Over the next few days I spent a considerable amount of time with the guys helping them get themselves under control.

Scott is more resistant to everything compared to Stiles. Stiles took to it like a fish to water! Scott hates that his life is so complicated now but still learned to use Allison as an anchor like in the show and they've started dating. Stiles on the other hand has given up his crush on Lydia for some reason, and completely given himself to learning all he can about the supernatural.

(AN: I know some of yall are going to cry about it but I'm trying to make it less dramatic when MC and Lydia start dating. Stiles is actually one of my fav people on the show so I'm gonna set him up with someone.. Probably not Malia tho... Maybe Erica...*shrugs* we'll see... yall vote!)

Mary and I have a very large supply of blood taking up all the storage we have, so I've backed off of my collection runs. Mary has been working her shifts at the hospital then she comes home and we usually watch movies in one of our rooms and just pig out on blood and chocolate. If that ain't wholesome I don't know what is.

I feel like we should be hearing something or another about the hunters or about "animal" attacks by now but I think my little stunt with Peter has forced him to rethink some things.. And since there hasn't been any real activity the hunters haven't really shown themselves. They did threaten Derek at one point but they wont do shit for now. I've been keeping an eye out for the crazy bitch Kate, I figure I have a little time before her and her equally crazy dad show up and start making things difficult for my new buddies.

That brings me to today. Today I've skipped school again since its an exceptionally sunny day today and that just makes me really want a nap. But I've decided to just cruise around on my bike today since Mary is working today.

That's when I notice a familiar Porsche speeding off from the side of the road leaving a clearly very upset redhead behind. 'Looks like I'm not the only one skipping today, and also trouble in paradise... Guess lets see if she needs help...' I thought while pulling up beside the girl.

"Hello there." (general kenobi) I said killing my bike and pulling off my helmet. "Looks like you could use a ride.." I added.

"Ray.." She said looking at me with an embarrassed yet still very upset expression. "Yeah, Jackson is being a douche.."

"Ha, what else is new..." I mumbled but she still clearly heard me. "Eh, can I offer you a ride or call you a ride or something?" I asked.

"A ride on that?" She asked eyeing my bike uncertainly. "What are you doing her anyways and why would you want to help me you've pretty much ignored me and avoided me since you got here?"

"Ah, I'm skipping, same as you or so it seems... and that.. Sorry about that I guess. I think that's a longer conversation, maybe for a different location?" I answered pointing to our surroundings which was on the side of the road on some random side street.

"Okay, well, there's a park not far away.. I can't exactly go home, we're skipping school so, I have time and I could use some time away from Jackson.." she replied.

"Okay well, get on and we'll go there and talk and I'll take you home later.." I said holding out the helmet out to her.

"I can't believe I'm doing this..." She said stepping forward and grabbing the helmet. She struggled getting it fastened on so I helped her then held the bike steady for her to climb on the back before tying my hair back so it doesn't fly up into my face.

*Lydia POV*

'I can't believe this..' I mused as I wrapped my arms around Ray. He hasn't really spoken to me before other than the occasional "hello". Mostly he seems annoyed when I see him and then he walks the other way. 'Guess I'll get my answers soon' I mused.

"You'll have to point out the way I don't know any parks on this side of town.." I hear him call back to me. I just point in the direction he should go and he sped that way.

'Christ, this boy smells so good..' I mused as I held on tighter as he sped up. He did smell really good, like sandalwood and coconut. Then I became very conscious of the body I was holding onto for dear life. It was packed with muscles and felt strong. 'Stronger and more cut than Jackson that's for sure...' I mused as I accidentally slide my hand across his abs.

As we pulled up in the parking area of the park I loathed how short the ride was. It was exhilarating riding on the back of his motorcycle and I was really enjoying the closeness after all the mean and hurtful things Jackson had said before. But alas I had to let go and get off. He helped me get the helmet off and he even tucked a few of my stray hairs away which made my cheeks heat up a bit admittedly.

"I see some picnic tables over there in the shade, lets sit and talk, I also have some chocolate in case you're hungry." He offered and I accepted one of the chocolate bars and followed him over to the table.

"Thank you." I said as he cleaned off a spot for me to sit down. "Now, can you tell me what I've done for you to avoid me like you do?" I asked

"First, lets talk about why you're "boyfriend" decided to ditch you on the side of the road in the middle of the day.." He said shifting the conversation back to me.

"Fine.. But after, you will tell me?" I asked.

"Sure.." He said although reluctantly.

*MC POV*

'Why do I care so much about this girl? I am legit mad that she was left crying on the side of the road.' I thought. I never liked Jackson, and Lydia is a handful at this point but she deserves better than that.

"Jackson isn't doing good grade wise, and I told him he'd be doing better if he'd study instead of obsessively practicing and trying to figure out how Scott and Stiles got so much better at lacrosse. He doesn't like to think anything is his fault, likes to deflect it onto everyone else instead of taking any responsibility." She answered after chewing her on the chocolate bar. "That and he's been pressuring me to have sex with him but I don't find his attitude attractive lately." She added.

I could feel my jaw drop a bit at the amount of personal info she was throwing at me. "Wow.. just gonna throw that out there huh? haha" I laughed after collecting myself. "Answer me this. Why do you put up with him? He seems very douchey and I've seen him just straight up be rude to you and you just let him?" I asked.

"He's popular, and he's the captain of the lacrosse team.. Who wouldn't want to be with him..." She answered.

"And that darlin... That's one of the reasons I keep my distance." I told her.

"One of the reasons?" She asked wanting me to elaborate more.

"You do what people want or think you should do so you can be what? popular? It just seems very fake to me." I answered and I could see her start getting defensive. "Now before you refute. Tell me, why do you pretend to be the dumb bimbo when I know for a fact you're grades are the top of our class?" I asked and watched her surprise expression.

"H-how do you know that? I'm not fake!" She said confused and angry.

"Hahaha, okay.. Then why are you the first one done with any problems we get in calculus? Why do you pretend to like lacrosse, but as soon as you think no one is paying attention I see your nose in a book? Seems fake to me... I don't associate with you and your friends because I don't care about this mask you wear for everyone. I'd much rather meet and talk to that other side of you.." I told her and watched her expressions change with every sentence.

"no one wants that side of me..." She said quietly.

"Well... That's their loss... Fuck'm if they don't wanna know the real you... I'd take the real you over the fake any day.." I told her.

"Language!" She said in mock outrage but I could tell she really needed to think about everything. "But... thank you... I think I'm ready to go home.." She said and I just nodded and collected all our trash stuffing it into my back pack.

About 15 minutes later I was dropping Lydia at her home on the complete opposite side of town which pissed me off even more knowing Jackson left her so far away from home expecting her to walk all that way home.

"Ray.." She said hesitantly.

"Yeah? What's up Red?" I asked taking my helmet back.

"Red?"

"Yeah.. haha I guess its interesting calling someone else that." I told her pulling a strand of her hair in front of her face to show her the reason for her new nickname.

"hehehe, like you're one to talk." She said reaching and pushing some of mine into my face. "Anyways, thank you for today... and I was wondering if I could give you my number... Maybe I liked talking to you today..." She said kinda shyly.

"I tell you what..I'll take it.. But I wont message or call until you're done with the douche...Being a teenager is dramatic enough, lets not add more to it yeah?" I told her with a laugh handing her my phone so she could add her contact info.

"I guess you're right... still thank you anyways.." She said handing me back my phone and I just nodded in reply watching her head to her door an go inside. 'Ugh.. she's so pretty....' I mused before pulling on the helmet and speeding off towards home.

.........

When I pulled up at home Mary's Jeep was in the drive so I spent a bit washing my bike and her Jeep before going inside.

"I'm home!" I shouted making my way to my room and changing clothes, and laying in my bed.

*Knock knock*

"Come in Mom." I answered.

"Hey Ray! How was your day?" She asked in her chipper voice.

"*sigh* it was exhausting. Girls are so troublesome..." I answered honestly.

"Girls huh? Which one?" She asked with a smirk.

"A very troublesome one..." I answered. " She's nice and all but she's gotta get her shit straight before I even think about a relationship... Also I'm like ancient.. She's a baby compared to me..." I answered.

"Hahaha, Ray we're immortal! Age and all that shouldn't really matter that much to us.. Now she is a teenager, so hormones and all that, so you gotta be a little understanding." She answered bemusedly.

"Yeah, I'm trying. She just needs to sort out her priorities and all that." I answered. "Oh well lets just watch something or do something.." I said.

"Let's play a game or something!" She said excitedly before flashing away upstairs. She came back in a second with a hand full of board games, candy and tumblers full of blood. "Lets play monopoly first!" She said excitedly.

(AN: So I hope this chap was okay, teenage conversations are weird lol. Now this was me laying the ground work for the Lydia ship but it will probably still be a few chapters before I do anything relationship wise between the 2)
