The Great War[2]-Massacre on the Battlefield

[The quest has begun]

[The system wishes you luck]

"Let's begin the massacre!" Ruthven shouted, Loud enough that all who heard him mistook his shout for roars...

The next moment, massive amounts of killing intent oozed off of him, and a 3rd of those leading the attack of the two armies fainted, disturbing the rhythm of their march.

Their disturbed rhythm was only an opportunity for Ruthven, He soon dashed to his first victim-and as if he had no control over his actions, he formed a sword-like gesture with his hand...

SPLURT!! the sounds of blood splattering were heard as Ruthven's hand went through his first victim's chest.

For a split second, Both armies stopped in their movement, fearing to approach the now blood-covered Ruthven.

With a devilish smile across his blood-covered face, Ruthven took no time to rest and quickly grabbed the wooden club held by his first victim...

With one powerful swing from his right hand, Ruthven took the lives of ten of the barbarians surrounding him, creating some space.

With no choice but to step out of their split-second trans, The barbarians quickly set Ruthven as an enemy, and With roars, they quickly charged at him.

"That's more like it," Ruthven said, his smile widening even more.

Holding the wooden club In his hands In a sword-like position, he slowly closed his eyes and sucked in air to his lungs.

He then slowly released the air, and a cold wind swept the battlefield, His long hair rose with the wind and he proceeded to open his eyes which now had a deep cyan color.

"N-no way right, Do we have to face something like that?" one of the barbarians said, his voice shaken up, A tiger had just entered the battlefield he feared.

Swiftly jumping towards the one who spoke those words, Ruthven held the club above his head and said as he crushed The enemy's body in one quick swing..."Finally... you speak words I can understand" Excitement was felt in his tone.

Not just ending there, Ruthven began to slaughter all that surrounded him, not caring which side was which.

This made it so that the two armies started to see him as a demon in human form, and there, an instinctive alliance was created as the barbarians now had a common enemy.

"Kill the Demon!!!"

A full charge was Ordered as they Attacked Ruthven from all sides, but to the soldiers who were at the back of the march, They only saw corpses flying, heard screaming, and saw blood splattering.

<Ding>

Repeatedly, System Notifications rang, but Ruthven paid them no mind and continued with the massacre, a pleasured look on his face.

Though he didn't care much about the system, Ruthven noticed that every time a notification rang, He would only grow stronger, and there a thought crossed his mind...

"So this is the leveling function the system had mentioned? Hehe, how useful."

Soon corpses had already started to pile up, but to Ruthven, all he had to do was move to his next location, and with a jump high enough to spot his enemies, Ruthven scouted the battlefield field with a cold gaze in his eyes.

His gaze on the soldiers was as if a predator had been watching them from above.

Ruthven soon dived into his enemies and upon impact, his club broke with the flying soldiers.

The soldiers saw this as an opportunity and began their charge on him. With a confused look on his face, Ruthven looked at his hands " Huh.... it broke?"

His actions were like that of a child, and as Ruthven still had a clueless look on his face,

A club hit him and broke upon impact, slowly pushing him off his balance.

Turning around to the one who had hit him, Ruthven received another hit from the back, a stone club this time.

His anger was already flooding as he soon held the head of whoever was in front of him and span him around to create distance, As the soldiers backed up, Ruthven's speed increased.

Crushing all in his way, Ruthven went forward with his bare hands. The fists of Ruthven were now like daggers as a punch from them was enough to punch through his opponents.

Thousands upon Thousands of soldiers fell as the battlefield was turned into an Ocean of blood, Corpses piled up and Mountains could be seen as A Blue-eyed demon emerged pulling a corpse with him.

The generals who had been leading the battlefield had long fled and the quest was long Completed without Ruthven Noticing.

In the distant skies across the thousand galaxies, The system was having a conversation with an unknown entity.

------

[Options]

(1) Scythe

(2) Katana

(3) Handgun.>

------

Ruthven held a serious look as he tried to make a choice. The scythe was a good weapon The only problem was it didn't suit his now tall build.

The katana was a Japanese specialty as it was born in its history and from the kendo lessons, he had taken, it would be most useful.

The handgun was a must-do as it was famous in the Modern era, But he was still unsure as he didn't think it would be useful in many situations, In the end, He chose the katana.

[Confirmed]

[Blood katana Forging process shall now begin]

Blood started to rise from the grounds of the now Bloodlands, The blood that had risen started to concentrate at a single point in the Bloodlands.

The scene before Ruthven could have been mistaken for a wormhole that was just forming. Starting From the edge a Blood-like metal started to condense, and Then a sharp Katana started to be formed in the Chaotic safe zone.

The completion of the Katana was soon seen, and it emitted a strong blood stench, hungry for blood.

[The system Recommends you name your weapon]

Ruthven put on a serious look as if he was going to name his newborn baby and after a while of thinking... " Sekhmet" was heard.

This was an Egyptian name from Earth and was the name of a goddess known for drinking blood.

According to the Book of the Dead, if a part of a soul did not get proper offerings, it was left to suck blood, this was now Sekhmet, his katana.

I would really appreciate it if you could tell me how I did and how I should improve.

Was the pacing right?

Was the battle confusing or not?

If you couldn't tell me your thoughts on such things, I'd really appreciate it, so see you in the next chapter
