Dilmon Part Three

Simultaneously, the five Šarras appeared above the city of Al-Manamah, the capital of Bahrain. In an inverted cone formation with the Šarru-Dara on top, they began the incognito probing. For the ordinary humans who's just starting to wake up to a new day, this is merely another typical routine of time passing. Unfortunately, not for Preters. The air of tension for an impeding apocalyptic war among their kind is so thick you could almost taste it. It's simply a matter of time when it explodes and they take the humans and their world with them. This is what the Šarras are trying their best to counteract or prevent. As to how this happened goes back to a certain once human boy that loved his thought also 'human' mother so much it reached the point he defied not only the gods but time itself. So here they are. The monsters who fight against fellow monsters. Creatures even the Greek goddess Artemis' Dark Hunters, the Demon Chthonian's Were-Hunters and the Greek pantheons' Dream Hunters can't fight toe-to-toe with. For they will only serve as kibbles to these types of monsters the Ambrose Malachai's chosen and trusted Šarras fights and exterminates 24/7. Yes. They are the one's now guarding and protecting these putrid's race safety and tomorrow while at the same time fixing what a certain final fate god's slip of a mistake that caused all these complications the humans and their race unknowingly got involved with.

The Šarru-Ninim's lavender orbs suddenly flared a vibrant blood red. She hissed with so much hatred her comrades worried for a second she'll suddenly loose it and attack. "What is Suseri doing here?"

"That's the sightings I've been meaning to tell you, Ninim. Midir is here too."

This time, it was the Šarru-Tahazu, whose muscles suddenly expanded and bulged where ancient celt sigils appeared, that bellowed. Good thing the Šarru-Dara anticipated such reactions in advance he strengthened the magic that covers even their unique signatures that manifests only during the peak of passions where higher level preters could sniff, detect and identify. "Calm down you two," the Šarru-Namuš sternly chastised. "This is not the right time to loose tempers."

Namuš is right children. Hold your horses. Till the right time and opportunity comes, you'll have to rein in your deep-seated anger and thirst for vengeance. We cannot afford to lose even a single advantage. Have patience."

"Hmmmm…" The Šarru-Namuš mused as he investigated further. "Indeed, this proves challenging to trace, Dara. Yes, I can now feel the unique essence of our Ašû-Šarru. So does the Night Shadows. Cyprian knows his real mother is here. So he's also combing the entire area in the hopes of finding her first."

"Wait," he paused. "F**k!" The demi-daeve aired out a string of curses. "The Atlantean. I felt his presence mystically appeared only this minute. And he brought a bunch of his minions too. Fabulous."

Now, it was the Šarru-Darra's turn to let out an earsplitting bellow. "NICK WARNED THEM NOT TO INTERFERE IN OUR BUSINESS. WHY CAN'T THEY LISTEN FOR ONCE?"

"Dara, do I need to bind you too," the Šarru-Gir grimaced.

"As if my remaining hubris and the additional restrictions our Šuzerain placed on me is not enough," the Šarru-Dara venomously spat in return.

"Right," the Akkadian god of Seasons rolled his eyes. "Just having a rein check on your temper. They are erratic lately. Can't risk you finally losing it."

"Children, focus here please," the Šarru-Namuš irately interjected. "The unnecessary bickering's starting to get on my nerves. It makes me want to pound and squash something or someone."

"Heh! Commercial break's over," the Celtic war god exclaimed. "Shall we proceed to personally checking the actual site? See what's really in there."

"I will head to where the Atlantean is and ensure he'll not stir additional trouble for us."

"Sure. You're the better candidate among us, Namuš. Your short-tempered brother cannot be trusted to be alone in a room with Acheron. He'll instantly kill him the moment they face each other."

The Blood King wryly smirked. "Eh? Who said I'll slay him on the spot? Where's the fun in that?"

"See what I mean?" The Akkadian god pointed out while the Celtic god and the Japanese Tengu Hime cackled malevolently. "Ok. Dara and I will delve into the Qal'at."

"Then Tahazu and I will examine the Burial Mounds. I sense Suseri there. So is Midir."

"Aye! Lezghow!"

"Fine." The Šarru-Namuš wearily approved. "See you at our new assembly point in an hour," was his parting words before they synchronously flashed to their selected vicinities.
