Xander's Life and First Love

After the speed date, Xander gave the number to Jayme which was very new to her and didn't know how to react. She just smiled at him and accepted the offer.

"Thank you for accepting my invitation for our second date, Jayme," Xander said mischievously.

"It was nothing. Anyway, I had fun at the event. I didn't know that you'll be on the speed date that my friend started."

"Of course. When he mentioned your name, I immediately accepted the invitation. This is my chance to know the famous heartthrob way back in high school and college." He mumbled.

She laughed awkwardly and scratched her nape. It was embarrassing that her batch has been given the title 'famous heartthrob' since high school. She couldn't feel being famous since she was very busy on studies.

It was a pride with an honor with a beautiful complexion and it didn't fade the beauty that her classmates told. She didn't like being famous just because of the beauty outside.

"I don't know why they had given me such a big title but don't be so happy to date me. I'm not even worthy." She mumbled humbly.

Xande felt the blush all over his face by how humble and beautiful Jayme was. He couldn't believe that it was a big chance to get to know her.

"Don't say that, Jayme. You are worth keeping not just because you are beautiful but you are a kind and humble person. No wonder many men wanted you." He explained, grabbing her hands.

Her blood rushed all over her face and formed into a blush. He gave an enormous compliment about her and it felt weird.

"Well, it was a… compliment. Anyway, I'll get going… My son is waiting for me." She said hesitantly, wanting to leave immediately by the awkwardness she felt.

He just nodded, and felt the cold sweat on his cheeks when Jayme felt uneasy by his words. Jaime smiled and walked out of the venue as Xander sighed.

"You have a big mouth, Xander." George said as he felt shivered down to his spine.

"George. *sigh* don't scare me like that." He mumbled softly, strived to calm himself down.

"Sorry, Xander." He laughed while patting his shoulder. He responded with a nod.

"Jayme didn't like to talk about her past, especially when we were in high school. She might be very famous but she didn't like the spotlight." He explained.

Xander knew about that, he watched her from far while she was with George. He didn't like the fact that any boys in the campus wanted to be with their girlfriend.

FLASHBACK

Xander was walking in the field to eat his lunch when suddenly, he saw a beautiful girl sitting beside the tree. He was lovestruck for the first time when a cold breeze hit her flowy brown long hair.

He felt tingling inside his stomach when her smile struck the bright sunlight as if she was a fallen angel. He perceived that it was Jaymianne, the famous heartthrob in their batch.

He knew himself that he fell in love at first sight to Jayme. However, many rumors said that she was a girlfriend of the famous youngest son of Martin Enterprises so he never got the chance to know her better.

END OF FLASHBACK

From that moment, he knew that he didn't have a chance with Jayme. But when George, her best friend, invited him, at first, he didn't agree since for him, it was a waste of time. But when Jayme was also invited, he didn't hesitate to come.

And now, he would take the chance to date her. "I see that you were very happy when Jayme was here." George said.

"I am. I'm very happy that destiny gave me a chance to date her and get to know her. I don't know what happened between her and Austin but right after graduation, I hadn't seen her true smile."

"I don't want to talk about that bastard. I don't know much about him but she gave her life to him and he wasted it."

"Bastard? Oh, Austin Martin. Wait, you don't know anything about him? I haven't seen his face but I know him!" He exclaimed, stunned.

George frowned by his reaction. It wasn't shocking that he didn't know Austin Martin. He didn't want to know anything about him especially when he turned Jayme so much.

"Why are you stunned? You said that you know him right?"

"N-nothing. Yes, I know him but not on the face. I know that he is the youngest son of the owner of Martin Enterprises." He explained, hesitantly.

He didn't want to ruin his reputation with George since he was very upset with Austin. Their parents were best friends and he lied that he didn't see his face. In fact, he was one of his friends. So he needed to hide his feelings for Jayme.

"Martin Enterprises. They are famous but I don't know where I hear from someone. Anyway, I should get going since it's getting late. I'll see you soon." He said and left him behind.

Xander walked straight to the parking lot and opened his car. He stepped inside and started the engine. But before he left, a phone call caught his attention.

He looked at it and saw the name of his ex-girlfriend. He groaned and accepted the call. "What?" He asked annoyingly.

"Don't be so annoyed when I called, Alexander. So don't be a whiny b*tch as if I haven't seen your body." His ex-girlfriend teasingly said.

This is what Xander didn't like when his ex-girlfriend, Ayesha called. She always opened up about what happened to them when they had a relationship. She kept opening about his naked body.

"You know why I'm annoyed. Anyway, what is it? I need to go home because of Aleyah."

"That's why I called. Austin told me that you attend a speed date so I've been thinking if you want me to spend a week with Aleyah so you could spend your week with a girl you choose." She explained.

It was a miracle because Ayesha became supportive and even helped to babysit their baby. Ayesha didn't fight for the custody of their daughter since her focus was on her career as a lawyer.

"That's a miracle. Anyway, okay… I'll agree to that. I thought I'll force you to babysit our daughter."

"I want to be a mother to Aleyah, Alexander. I know she was only one year old and she didn't know what happened between us but I want her to know that I am capable of being a mother."

"I know you are, Ayesha. You are just scared of being one and Aleyah is a smart girl so she knows what she likes. Anyway, thank you for the support. I have to go. I'll call you later."

"Okay, drive safe."

He hung up the phone and threw it beside the driver's seat. He sighed in relief when Ayesha wanted to be a part of their daughter's life. It wouldn't be hard if her mother would help him to take care of Aleyah.
