Chapter 11 Granddaughter-In-Law

Before Lydia finished talking, William approached and suddenly lifted her chin. He was whispering Lydia's ear, "Don't show that pathetic face in front of me, as if you really don't want that kid? Even for you, this kid is just a business tool, why show such an expression of mercy? You make me sick!"

Lydia bit her lip, trying to restrain the tears, and made a nod to William, "You are right."

William kept quiet for a while, then let go of his hand.He continued to stare at Lydia coolly and said, "Next time don't cry in front of me. I hate women who cry the most. Especially a woman such as yourself, who can only pretend. I did so at the request of my grandmother because of my dedication to her. But if you really want to put my patience on the line, go ahead. Whatever I do to you, grandma won't be angry with me."

"Sure, I got it. You know, next time I won't cry. I'll just smile in front of you." Following confirmation, Lydia attempted to show a smile.

William was squinting at Lydia and furrowing his eyebrows. But without saying a word, he flipped over on the bed and opened his laptop. Because William didn't tell her to leave, Lydia was still standing in that room.

Until the maid came and delivered the food, William turned towards Lydia, "Go away, I have no further need for you to serve me here."

He had a cold tone, as though he commanded a servant. Lydia breathed deeply, nodded, and then walked out of William's room. William was looking behind Lydia back until she was out of sight. Then William looked the other way and continued on with the laptop.

Leaving William's bedroom, Lydia planned to bid farewell to the Old Madam Chang. Old Madam Chang smiles a lot when she sees Lydia, she said, "Why? Do you want to go out?"

Lydia nodded, "Yes, grandma. I need to be at the company right away."

Old Madam Chang smiled, she said again, "Yes, there is a necessity to go to the company. I already arranged for somebody to go there to discuss the investment with the Ahn Family. Anyway, what happened to William back there? Did he give you terms as well? Let me guess, he probably told you not to speak of your relationship with William, didn't he? Tell you to leave that child at the Chang Family home after the baby is born?"

Lydia wet her lips and nodded her head once more,"You were right about that, grandma."

The Old Madam Chang laughed, "On the basis of his nature, he is undoubtedly going to provide such conditions. Just be patient about it. He will eventually become kind to you. William was a really nice man. Except his mouth was too poisoned and his heart too cold. You are a warm hearted person, and you will certainly make a good wife for him."

"A warm hearted person? Wasn't I a cold person, who could sell everything for money?" Lydia thought to herself. Lydia really couldn't figure out how the Old Madam Chang could feel warm?

And does she actually become William's wife in the future?

Lydia clenched her fists, she can't believe what Old Madam Chang had said. From the very beginning she only accepted to bear William's child. She thought that she'd be no more than a wife by name. Never cross her mind to become William's real wife. Lydia believed that she would spend the rest of her life with someone in an unconscious coma. She does so in the hope of retaining the rest of the Ahn Family's wealth. And of course, to be able to raise her child as well.

But Lydia had no expectation that William would come to his senses so soon. It messed up Lydia's whole plan. Alongside with Old Madam Chang and William request that contradicting to each other. Lydia's mind was in complete chaos. Lydia, who was good at everything in people's eyes, had no idea what to do now.

The Old Madam Chang turned towards Lydia, held out the cold hand of Lydia and said, "Don't worry, the Chang Family isn't so scary. Being capable of marrying William is a dream of many women. Now that you're married to him, I have no idea how many people will be jealous of you. Moreover, his health began to improve. This means you may be able to build a longer relationship with him. As I said at the beginning, I'm very pleased with you. Even if William is cured, I'm going to choose you as my granddaughter-in-law. I think William is about to fall for your kindness and sincerity too."

"Thank you, Old Madam. Oh no, I mean grandma." Lydia said in a low voice to the Old Madam Chang.

She smiled and nodded her head, "I know you're busy, but make sure you get back tonight. I've already told the others to prepare a banquet. Today is a happy day, so tonight everyone should have dinner together. You haven't even got a car? Just walk into a garage and use one of my cars."

Lydia nodded, "Thank you grandma, tonight I'll be back on time."

After saying goodbye to Old Madam Chang, Lydia went around and walked to the garage. When the car slowly left the Chang Family home, Lydia turned her head looking at the Chang Family yard. And she couldn't help but wipe her eyes. She felt so emotional right now. Her mind was now so confused, she felt as if she was dreaming a really insane thing. First she had a baby for someone in a coma, which was a crazy decision. And William suddenly regained consciousness. Now, Lydia's status has shifted from the wife of a person in a coma to William Chang's wife.

At this moment, Lydia hoped William would never wake up. At least William, who was in a coma, couldn't hurt her feeling, nor would she have had to live with him. Lydia didn't know how to handle her situation, especially when it came to William. From the very beginning, William had underestimated and despised her so much. As long as she thought about William, Lydia immediately remembered her miserable condition now.
