Army training camp

Next morning

After getting fresh and having breakfast Alex and Lucy headed to the army training camp.

Just when both of them entered the camp, they were noticed by the person in charge, Balder.

Balder was the leader of this camp and it was his duty to get these rookies prepared for war. And seeing two of them bunking the training , that too just when the camp started was unacceptable to him.

"Hey, you two, come here. "

Balder said while pointing at Alex and Lucy.

"Sorry sir, it was our mistake for being absent yesterday. We're ready to accept any punishment. "

Lucy knew that if she made any unnecessary excuses, things will only become more difficult for them. Thus she accepted her mistake and even asked for punishment even before the instructor did.

Balder, who was ready for a good speech was a bit perplexed and after some time gave orders annoyedly .

"Alright both of you get in your positions . And this is not an example, so be careful next time. "

Alex and Lucy happily got in their positions. Subsequently Jack who was standing right beside Alex nudged him and asked about what happened yesterday.

"Yo hero! What happened to both of you yesterday ? You guys simply bunked the camp and didn't even tell me. Don't tell me you guys went on a date? "

Alex said.

After that they underwent a series of exercises like running, squatting, sword practice, archery practice, sparring and formations for next 5 to 6 hours.

When it was almost evening, Balder , their team leader asked them to stop.

"Attention! Today's training is over. Remember to come on time tomorrow. Disperse! "

As soon as he said this, all the cadets who were already tired as hell fled the place. Alex and Lucy also got together and they also asked Jack to tag along with them.

Currently there were not many people at the bar. Thus Alex easily managed to book them a private room.

Sitting around the table at the bar, each of them ordered their favorite drinks .

After taking a few sips Jack broke the silence and asked them directly.

"So what 's up with you guys, being so secretive and all. "

"Look Jack , can we trust you? "

Alex asked while looking at him.

" Huh? You guys..."

Jack showed a dumbstruck expression.

"No Jack, it's not what you think. The thing is that we're going to tell you something that is our biggest secret. So don't blame us for doubting your loyalty. "

Lucy noticed the unnatural expression on Jack's face and immediately explained to clear any misunderstanding while giving Alex an ' are you stupid' look.

Hearing this Jack's expression eased up, while Alex only showed an innocent expression and shrugged his shoulders.

"Hey you guys know me, I'm all brawns and no brains. So don't play these mind games with me and get to the point. Hmph....."

Jack said.

Alex relaxed a bit for he knew that Jack was indeed such a person. After figuring out his thoughts and organising his words, Alex explained to Jack how his powers worked as simply as he could.

" How about it Jack , I have already gotten new powers. And let me tell you that I'm strong enough to easily crush you now"

Lucy said with a teasing expression on her face.

"Fuck!... You..... You....guys...are simply..... "

Jack got up from his seat and almost threw his glass on the floor in excitement.

Fortunately Alex caught hold of him in time and said something to calm him down.

"Relax buddy. Now tell me whether you are with us or not ? "

"Hell yeah, I'm in. Is that even a question ?"

Jack said while banging his hand on the table and continued :

" So Alex, what's the power you got for me? "

"Um.... I suggest you the Hercules Ant gene. It will surely give you top strength and insane defense. What's more it matches your fighting style.

So how about it? "

Alex suggested.

"Well ANTMAN does sound a lot less heroic than Tiger king / Lion King . It's a bit different from what I had in my mind.

But I guess I'll follow your advice , for you are the boss, Mr Brainy"

Jack said with a silly smile.

"Its so settled then . Alex will help you get the HERCULES ANT GENE this Sunday. We won't have to worry about training camp then as we get a holiday on weekend."

Just like that the army training during day and ability training at night made the trio's week fully packed.

On Sunday morning

Alex, Jack and Lucy went to the GREAT ASGARD FOREST to search for the Herculean ant.

Hercules ant is a species unique to asgard. This ant has evolved over years and possesses great strength and almost invincible defense. They are very aggressive creatures and after many years of evolution coupled with the magical environment are almost thousand times better than those ants on Earth.

Generally very few other animals offend the Herculean Ants and they live a lavish life in the Great Asgard forest.

But today they were destined to be unlucky. Alex and the others were sitting atop a tall tree and observing the Herculean Ant sleeping below it.

"Lucy, you have to go for a quick and lethal attack before it even has a chance to counterattack . And I will support you from afar. "

Lucy nodded.

She willed and started eating her combat form with faint electric current surging in the air.

Jack got surprised and was even more excited for his own power.

Afterwards Lucy turned invisible and approached the Hercules ant.

After reaching it she gave a full power punch teeming with thunder at the underbelly of ant.

Shrieeeek... Shrek.... Shriek.....

The Hercules ant woke up shrieked around in pain. It looked around with red eyes and blood dripping from its wound.

It was at this time that that Alex who was preparing for a long time fired a thunder beam at her.

The Hercules ant tried getting away but was too injured to even move and soon breathed it's last breaths with resentment in its eyes.

"Yippee..!... Come on Alex , let's start it. I'm ready. "

Jack was already jumping up and down like a child . Lucy also returned to the human form and joined them .

At this time Alex approached the corpse and collected some blood in a test tube.

"Hey system! Use one chance at Jack and add this Hercules ant gene to him . "
