Ochiai and Kobayashi

Chapter 7 — Ochiai and Kobayashi.

SDF Academy | 12:30 PM.

"Its a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Jason. I'm Ochiai and I was sent to meet you by the commander's command," The man introduced himself elegantly.

The man looked handsome and was dressed neatly in a black military uniform.

"Ah, hello! Can I ask why the commander sent you here to meet with me, Mr. Ochiai?" Jason asked rather curiously.

"I'm here to guide you toward her as she would like to talk about something important with you. I'm sorry, but I can't say it myself."

Jason nodded and had some vague feelings about what it could be about.

"I see... I understand! It seems very important that it needs the commander herself to say it to me."

"I would like to guide you now, but are you currently free and not busy?"

Jason shook his head and replied, "I was about to train again, but since the commander have something to say, I will skip it and do it later."

"Sure, I understand. The rumours I heard about you seems to be true. You're really hard-working and kind."

"Haha, you think of me too much. I can only focus on those things since I still am not that familiar with Sidonia."

Ochiai could only sympathize with Jason after hearing that.

"I hope you get used to your new environment soon. Now then, shall we head toward the commander?"

"Sure, I wonder where we will meet."

"You'll soon find about it. And trust me, its a beautiful place..."

Two handsome gentlemen left the SDF Academy and made their way toward the residential area's tower.

Residential Area | Highest Level | 12:50 PM.

After riding an elevator, Jason and Ochiai managed to arrive at the highest level of the ordinary residential area.

"This is our final stop."

The elevator stopped at the highest level and two handsome gentlemen exited out of it.

Jason was inwardly surprised about how high they were currently standing. He then stared above, curious about what was up there.

Ochiai smiled lightly after seeing him being so curious.

"What's above there is classified, but you need to take a private plane to go any higher from here."

"Ah, I see. It's good to know that information."

The two of them continued walking and even climbed a very long stairs. If Jason didn't have his superhuman endurance, he was sure that his legs would already become a jelly.

They soon reached a place that was located so high at the sky. There seemed to no other buildings except for one large building that have one huge entrance.

"This is as far as I can take you."

"Okay, thank you for your help, Mr. Ochiai. Is the commander inside that building?" Jason pointed at the only building that was built on this place. It have one entrance that have stairs that went upstairs.

"Yes, she's inside it. Now then, you should enter it."

Jason nodded his head and climbed the stairs, finally arriving inside a room that was large and built like a dome.

"Woah...!"

Jason was surprised to see himself floating up, as if there was no gravity inside this room.

It was also very dark.

The only light source was located in front of him and it was dimly bright.

Jason saw the light source coming from a thing that was like a lamp and beneath it, there was a naked woman floating midair. Her skin was pale white and her silky black hair was untied, flowing and scattering freely.

Jason observed the woman and realized it was the commander!

She was Kobayashi!

Kobayashi's beautiful naked body was of a perfect ratio and looked very mature, exuding a sexy and erotic sensation.

This beautiful sight aroused Jason's desires and excitement. However, he soon regained his composure, calming his instincts down.

He was the type of man that always tries to maintain his reasons over instincts.

A human is a human because they have a dominant control over their instincts and have their intelligence reigning over them instead.

Besides, Jason was a weird human. He felt that only mechas were worthy of arousing his desires and excitement. (Not in the sexual way.)

Kobayashi seemed to have noticed Jason's arrival and clicked her fingers, causing the gravity to return.

The lights turned on and the white walls seemed to disappear—the appearance of space replacing it.

Jason was amazed at the sight of the beautiful space. This was the first time he saw space with his own eyes!

He was finally not seeing it just from virtual reality.

Kobayashi quickly wore her white uniform calmly without feeling embarrassed even after someone saw her naked just a moment ago.

She then looked toward Jason with her usual stoic expression.

"I apologize for my lack of proper appearance earlier. I didn't expected you to arrive so quickly."

"It's fine, but can I ask if you were doing photosynthesis earlier?" Jason asked interestedly.

This was the first time he saw people actively doing 'that' kind of thing.

"Yes. However, I must warn you to not ask that kind of question so directly, especially toward other women. It will spell a disastrous event for you."

"O-Oh, I see..." Jason unknowingly stuttered and didn't know what was wrong with his question.

He just found it interesting how people photosynthesis by bathing or showering.

He then remembered a certain event that happened on his second day here. He vaguely noticed a sign saying 'Girls Photosynthesis Room' back then, but didn't know what it actually meant back then.

So it might be that kind of feeling.

It was like someone suddenly catching them while showering or even m*asturbating. (What the hell do I mean???)

"Jason, do you know why I called you over?"

"No, not a clue at all," Jason shook his head, but he have some vague feeling about it.

It was something he worked extremely hard to achieve after all.

"I will tell you a good news. From now on, you have received a special treatment and is now allowed to graduate from the SDF Academy in advance. You're now an official Guardian Pilot."

"...!"

Although Jason had already guess it was gonna be about something like this, he still couldn't help himself from feeling overjoyed.

He finally became an official pilot!

"Sidonia is facing constant imminent threats from our mortal enemy—the Gauna! We need talented pilots like you to quickly defend against them. That's why they have decided to make you an official pilot in advance and get used to fighting them very early on."

"This was also a decision made using a majority voting system amongst the immortal council. They wanted a talented pilot like you to quickly become a Guardian and protect Sidonia from imminent threats. You must now continue sharpening your skills and experiences against them to prove your worth and loyalty to Sidonia."

Jason bowed down and expressed his gratitude as if it was a honour.

"Thank you very much, commander!"

Kobayashi nodded before giving a stern remark toward him.

"I will give you a warning in advance. Not all of the immortal councils have good intentions towards you—an outsider whose origins is not even from Sidonia. Don't forget that what human fear the most is the unknown!"

"They just want to use your outstanding talent and skills as a tool to protect Sidonia. Once you're no longer needed and became a threat to them, you will just get thrown away."

"...l'll remember your words," Jason said solemnly. He already knew that this was gonna happen, and he was already prepared mentally.

Henceforth, he will not fall no matter what happens. He will continue to rise and then eventually become an unshakable figure whose presence is like a star.

He will trample upon those who wants to trample on him.

"However, don't worry too much, I'll give you some help and support when needed. Just swear to myself and yourself an knight oath to help 'humanity' to survive and thrive forward and not make it cease to exist."

Jason was stunned, he was quite moved after hearing her say that. It was good for him to receive help, especially from the commander herself.

Helping humanity....

There was no need to explain.

He was also a human himself, hence helping them would become an inevitable choice.

"I am thankful for your kindness. And I truthfully swear my oath, not to the heaven nor gods, but to my own humanity. I swear to help and save them."

"I will use my power to bring light and hope when the darkest weary days comes. Even when I fall and become a demon, I will fight for myself and for the good of humanity itself."

Jason spoke those words with passion and commitment, his eyes staring deeply toward Kobayashi.

His eyes were so pure and sincere without a shred of falsehood.

-The Oath Of Hope Has Been Announced-

Jason wasn't able hear it.

It was not from Mr. Alien, but something else from another dimension.

The commander, nay, Kobayashi's expression showed subtle changes after hearing Jason's passionate speech.

The corner of her lips curved slightly as she looked at Jason's handsome face and sincere-looking eyes.

"I hope you keep your words. Be a knight like him... a knight who brings hope to humanity." She muttered silently under her breath.

Ever since Jason awakened, Kobayashi had someone very skilled to monitor Jason's action from far away to see if he would do anything suspicious that could bring disaster toward Sidonia.

As a result, she got to know about Jason's character and personality. He haven't done anything bad and suspicious. He instead brought positive changes around him.

Jason also showed his inspiring quality of focusing extremely and working hard to achieve what he want.

She knew better than anyone about how much sacrifice and work Jason had to pour in order to perfectly excel at his military academics and improve his piloting skills.

Kobayashi thought Jason did all of these in order to get revenge against the Gauna and not fail at his mission of protecting his home once again.

Even though Jason was an unknown risk, for the sidonia, Kobayashi decided to take a risk and allow him inside while not knowing if he was an opportunity or calamity.

It was a gamble.

Doubts formed at first, as she wondered if Sidonia really needed Jason. However, her doubts soon dissolved as she got to know more about Jason, including his amazing talent and abilities.

Before she could even realize it, she started thinking of Jason as an opportunity. A true seed of hope for Sidonia.

They needed someone skilled as him to get through the dangers that kept growing intense as time passed.

A talented superhuman who can improve and adapt so fast that it seemed a miracle.

Jason didn't know that he was being monitored. He couldn't detect the person who monitored him from faraway even with his excellent superhuman senses.

The only thing good was that person didn't monitored him for the whole twenty four hours and only invaded his privacy a little bit.

And even if Jason knew about it, he wouldn't mind that much and would instead understand their thought process clearly.

If it was him in their shoes, he wouldn't allow some unknown outsider that could potentially be an enemy inside their own homebase without any surveillance on him.

That was the only way to keep them feel secure and safe until they completely lower their guards down.

Jason was just relieved to become an official pilot now. Although he didn't planned for what was ahead after becoming an official pilot, he would think when it comes to that point.

His main priority was to kill a Gauna and absorb its energy core to extend his lifespan.

Obtaining achievements and fame to make the Sidonians completely accept him was his secondary priority.

Jason was very excited and happy today.

Starting from now, he, Jason Star, was now assigned under the Akai Squad and now also have his own real Guardian to pilot.

I don't know how to plot smartly, write hidden dangers and also write some suspense ;-;

Jason is monitored outside and not home since they know it would be impossible to monitor Jason close with his superhuman senses.
