This is Real Talent

After several students had already had their turns it was finally Uriel's turn. No student could make the instructor even attack back, signaling they were all still too weak. Could this unique girl change things?

Peter enhanced his senses further, paying close attention as a smiling Uriel jumped onto the platform. He knew he would have to go after her so he paid close attention to how the instructor reacted.

Uriel's dark eyes glowed red as her orange hair flowed menacingly. Powerful flames circled her body and a powerful mana pressure emitted from her body.

'So she's a 2nd stage Proficient Rank. She's stronger than me currently, but she's still weaker than Noah.' Peter analysed.

"Come at me. Ms. Holmes." The instructor urged her on as he put one hand behind his back and had the other out in a half-assed fighting stance.

Uriel's body seemed to disappear as she appeared behind the instructor with her right fist engulfed in a ball of flames.

She cried out a battle cry attacking the Instructor. Mr Hale managed to pivot round and block her attack with both of his forearms, before leaping backwards.

"Inter-"

She didn't give Mr. Hale time to recover as several boulder-sized Flame balls were descending from above.

"Take this!" Uriel smiled, pointing downwards. The several boulder sized flame balls quickened their descent as they approached the instructor.

For the first time, the students were able to see the instructor fight back. Two gauntlets made of light formed around the instructor's hands as he threw a series of punches upwards.

BOOM! BOOM!

Powerful detonations erupted, blocking everyone's view except Peter's.

'He's strong indeed. His cultivation rank, I can't even tell, is he that far ahead of me? But the light element. Our fight will be an interesting matchup.' Peter thought.

'Do you want me to take the fight? It's been a long time since I've had a fight.' Noah suggested, itching to duel the instructor himself.

'If I'm no match for him, then we'll switch.'

'Okay.'

When the flames dissipated, the students could finally see both Mr. Hale and the orange-haired girl fighting fist to fist. It was odd to see such a sight as Uriel was much smaller in stature than the instructor but she was holding her own.

This fight was a big statement for the other students as no other student was able to make the instructor fight back till Uriel's fight. It expressed how strong the 12-year-old girl was, although the instructor was holding back.

"Okay, that's enough. I've seen enough. Grade <A+>." The instructor pushed Uriel back and deactivated his gauntlets.

"What?! I'm not done yet." Uriel snapped, cracks forming under her as her anger soared, but she powered down, seeing the instructor's serious gaze.

She walked off the platform not looking back at the instructor. In her eyes, she couldn't even scratch the instructor, so in a sense it hurt her pride. A talented genius like her couldn't even pressure an old man.

Her new friends immediately comforted her.

'Guess it's my turn. Let's put on a show.' Peter sighed, as he walked through the chattering crowd of students.

He was the final student, and in the rest of the students' eyes, he seemed to be the weakest. His cultivation was the lowest out of everyone. Most were above the 8th Novice stage, whilst Peter was still stuck on the 6th stage.

"Who's this blind kid?"

"I've never seen him before. What country did he come from?"

"How strong do you think he is?"

Peter had become the talk of the watchers but he didn't let that bother him.

Darkness mana trickled around his body as he released his mana pressure.

'Mmh. He's still hiding his power, is he scared to expose his power to the others?' Mr Hale thought. He knew Peter was holding back as the aura he was giving off was that of a veteran fighter.

Peter unsheathed his sword and got into a fighting stance.

When the instructor gave the green light, Peter immediately dashed towards him executing the 2nd form of the ethereal Arts Martial Art. Several illusions of blades duplicating could be seen as sword strikes coming from all angles.

"Impressive." The instructor smiled, activating the same light gauntlet spell he used before against Uriel. He parried most of the sword strikes and dodged the others. Although Peter was skilled, he just wasn't as fast as the instructor.

'Darkness Slash.'

An arc of darkness flew towards the instructor, the impact being absorbed by his gauntlets.

"Is this all you have for me to see? I know you're hiding." The instructor smiled, this time pushing in and throwing punches and kicks.

"Woah! He's actually keeping up with the instructor."

"How is he moving like that when he's blind?"

"Wait. Doesn't that mean he's on the same level as Uriel?"

Uriel's anger continued to rise as she heard the gossip around her. She couldn't help but wander could he beat Peter if she had a fight with him? Who'd come out on top?

"Fine. I'll give you what you want." Peter replied, pushing the instructor back.

'Hehe. Finally it's my turn.' Noah sighed.

Suddenly, a powerful mana pressure erupted from Peter's body. An aura of death reeked out as Noah's killing intent froze the atmosphere.

The students all froze with their eyes wide open. It was a similar feeling to coming face to face with a mighty beast, that you know could kill you with one swing of its hands.

Noah smiled, taking off the bandage around his eyes. The stigma on his neck glowed intensely as his strength multiplied due to the buffs.

"This is what I've been looking for. The wolf hiding amongst sheep has finally revealed itself. Come!" The instructor's mana pressure also shot through the roof as it doubled, matching Noah's strength.

Noah flash stepped across the platform, moving like a blur from all sides using the Ethereal Arts martial art and the new form he had learned from the style of the Soul Reaper.

'I may be slow but to think a mere kid could reach this level of speed. How frightening. This is REAL talent. Hahahaah!' The instructor laughed in excitement mentally, finally chasing after the small boy and engaging in combat.

Light shockwaves resounded every time they collided back and forth.

To the students watching, it just looked like streaks of blackish purple and golden light were colliding and then being repelled again. It was a magnificent sight to behold.

Uriel was the most shocked out of all the students. She had been drawn to Peter since the time she saw him and she even didn't know why. Was this the reason?

'I can't beat him.' Uriel gulped, struggling to keep track of their vanishing figures.

This fight was too high caliber.

"Phew. Okay, that's enough. Good spar little man. Grade <A+>." The instructor finally stopped, causing Noah to leap back to his position. He also powered down and switched back with Peter.

"What's your name boy?" Mr. Hale asked.

"Peter Magtris, sir," Peter replied, putting his bandage back on.

"Mmh. One last question before you're dismissed. Are you truly blind?"

"Yes."

"I see. You can go."

Peter walked off the stage only for several boys to jump at him asking him questions about how he'd gotten so strong.

'What an interesting kid. I wonder why such a wolf is playing amongst these sheep. Only time will tell what other secrets this boy is hiding.' Mr Hale smiled.
