"Welcome Mr. Wang Raymond Wei. Congratulations on becoming the ninth successor of Unlimited Borrowing System. My name is Genesis and I'll be your assistant"
"What. The. Heck" Wang Wei said startled and looked around him to see who is speaking with him but obviously there was no one.
"A system?" he instantly thought of this possibility because he read so many novels with the system related themes.
"Aren't those things can only be found in novels? That means did I became a protagonist character?" Wang Wei thought
"Let me check the criteria to be a protagonist first. Parents' whereabouts unknown, check. Poor guy struggling, check. Overthinking but smart sibling, well I don't know about the smart nevertheless, check. I sure checked out basic ones"
"Wait, what the heck I'm thinking about. Hell with being a protagonist. Where did this thing come from anyway" Wang Wei said out and soon calmed himself down.
"So Genesis. Hi" Wang Wei spoke, looking at the empty space in his room. If anyone was present there beside him, they would have thought that Wang Wei is speaking with ghosts.
"You don't have to speak out loud, Mr. Wei" said Genesis in a typical secretary voice.
"Oh! Okay. Genesis, Who are you?" this time he thought
"I'm your assistant Mr. Wei, "
"Where did you come from?" asked Wei. Even though he accepted the fact that he now owns a system, still he needs to know its origins.
"Somewhere from this cosmos" replied Genesis
What? Cosmos? Which cosmos? Thought Wang Wei and said, "So you mean you came from the outer space"
"Unauthorized to answer" came a reply from Genesis
"What unauthorized. Your answer already reveled the truth" he thought.
Wang Wei just sighed, listening to the answer of Genesis and asked "What are your functions?"
"Finally, an important question" Genesis mumbled under her breath
"Oi! I can hear you" Wei said hearing Genesis
"Well Mr. Wei, my primary function is to assist you in utilizing the Unlimited Borrowing system"
"Unlimited Borrowing System?" asked Wei
"It is a system where you can borrow anything and everything" said Genesis proudly
"Hot damn!! It seems like I hit a jackpot" thought Wang Wei and asked Genesis excitedly, "Can I borrow some money?"
"No"
"Gold?"
"No"
For the next few tries, all Wang Wei can hear from Genesis is a 'No' as an answer for whatever he asked.
"Wait, I'm missing some sort of point here" Wang Wei contemplated for some time and asked "Genesis, what is the mechanism of the system"
"The basic rule to borrow any item from the system is through exchange. You can choose any item in your possession and submit it to the system. Then the system will appraise the submitted item and present you with a list of items equivalent to their value which you can borrow" said Genesis
"Excellent!! I will be a millionaire. No, I can even become the richest man in-" before Wang Wei can think further, he heard Genesis voice.
"Remember, Mr. Wei. The item which you submitted will not be returned back to you and the item you borrowed from the system will come with a set expiration time. After the expiration time the item will either be retrieved back by the system or destroyed on its own"
"Wait, this is extortion. I will lose my own item and also the one given by the system. This is a scam" said Wang Wei, listening to what Genesis said.
Wang Wei thought of submitting a valuable antique to uncle Li and borrowing some extraordinary item like a spaceship or a futuristic smartphone and becoming rich selling them. But if the item expires, then he can't sell them and if he did not return the antique back uncle Li will kill him.
"Mr. Wei. The submitted item should be in your possession means it should be owned by you. You can't submit items that are owned by others" said Genesis, sensing the thoughts of Wei.
"Give me some privacy" Wang Wei shouted at Genesis. I'm seventeen I need privacy, he spoke to himself.
"You can change privacy setting in the user interface of the system, Mr. Wei" replied Genesis in monotone.
"There is a user interface? Quick open it" Wang Wei said to Genesis.
Within a fraction of a second, a bright light engulfed his body. When he opened his eyes, Wang Wei found himself surrounded by a cube with white walls and in front of him there is lady wearing an office suit.
"Genesis?" Wang Wei said, looking at that lady.
"Yes, Mr. Wei. I created this body myself by taking references from your planet's culture" said Genesis.
"Good. You didn't go neither over nor humble appearances. 36, 24, 36 a perfect figure. Just like my style," said Wang Wei, looking Genesis up and down.
"You know what they call people who gawk at women, Mr. Wei?"
"What? A gentleman" said Wei nonchalantly.
"No. A pervert or in some language, Hentai" said Genesis stiffly but still maintaining a smile on her face.
Wang Wei stunned looking at that expression. It is very human like expression but he didn't continue to bicker with Genesis and asked her to open the interface. Immediately there is a virtual screen presented itself in front of him.
"It looks just like a character status in a MMORPG game" said Wang Wei, looking at the screen in front of him.

"How does the system know my full name?" Wang Wei asked Genesis about his name first because Raymond is the middle name of both the Wang brothers given by their mother. Wang Wei's mother is British, and Raymond is their mother's family name. But it is only mentioned in the brothers' birth certificates, so no one knows about it other than their family.
"Unauthorized to answer"
This reply from Genesis stunned Wang Wei, but he didn't ask further about it as there are more important questions he needed answers for.
"Okay. We'll get to that later. Explain me about status and system points" said Wang Wei cos playing an interviewer.
"Yes, Mr. Wei. As you can see, at present the system is at level 1 and it can be further leveled up. To level up, you need experience which is given beside the level. You can gather experience by submitting items and the appraisal value will correspond with the experience you will gain by submitting that item" said Genesis, taking no breath which impressed Wang Wei.
"Are there any daily limits?" Wang Wei is bent on impersonating an interviewer until the end.
"Yes, in the item borrowed section you can find the daily limit. At present you can borrow items from system five times per day and the more you leveled up the more items you can borrow" said Genesis and continued.
"And system points are very important, you can consider them as an incentive for being the master of the unlimited borrowing system"
"Care to explain more about these system points?" said Wang Wei, and he can also clearly see how cringed Genesis is feeling on her face. Still Genesis answered him:
"Depending on how well you utilized a borrowed item, the system will award you with system points. The minimum you will receive will be 0.1. You can use the system points to buy items from the system store. You can think of them like systems own currency"
While listening to Genesis, Wang Wei went through the options on the "panel" and found system store which is in gray color.
"System store will be activated when you reach level 3" said Genesis, sensing Wang Wei's thoughts of gray color for system store.
"P.R.I.V.A.C.Y" said Wang Wei enunciated.
