John, with great effort, forced himself to stay conscious. His body trembled with the intense pain surging through him, but he couldn't afford to let himself slip away.
Steam started coming out of his body as his skin turned red. John felt as though he had activated the Gear 2 ability of Luffy's Devil Fruit.
As John tried to focus, he remembered the movie Captain America: 'The First Avenger,' in which Steve was injected with the serum and had to endure the same pain. The enhanced strength, speed, and durability it granted were legendary, but they came at a cost - a cost John was now paying. He could feel his muscles expanding, his skin tightening, and the burning sensation intensifying.
Suddenly, the pain intensified, making it difficult for John to hold onto his consciousness.
He could feel the looming presence of death.
'Am I going to die? Finally, when I've been given a second chance at an exciting life compared to my previous mediocre one?' John thought as his consciousness fluttered.
His eyes burned with an imaginary red hue as his previous life flashed before his eyes, followed by a few moments of his current life after the fateful transmigration.
'No, I don't want to die. I want to live, become strong, and live my life to the fullest,' John's eyes filled with determination as he repeated those words in his mind.

His muscles grew stronger, his reflexes sharpened, and his senses heightened. The transformation was brutal, but he could sense the immense power coursing through his veins.

"How do you feel?" Tony asked John, who was bewildered as he observed his new body.
"Stronger," John replied, walking towards the wall of the room.
John clenched his fist and punched directly into the wall.
The impact created a loud crack as the wall crumbled and collapsed under John's superhuman strength. Dust filled the air, and debris scattered across the room. Tony watched in awe, impressed by John's newfound power.
John laughed, feeling the excitement course through his veins. He couldn't believe how different he felt, how much he had changed. The Super Soldier Serum had transformed him into a force to be reckoned with, and he was eager to put his enhanced abilities to the test.
"By the way, have you forgotten that this is your own mansion?" Tony suddenly asked.
John's excitement suddenly turned to sourness as he looked at the damage he had caused.
"I just destroyed one wall. From the fighting sounds before, you must have caused more damage than me. I want compensation," John quickly replied.
"Just how shameless can one person be?" Tony muttered in a low voice.
John ignored what Tony said and asked, "Why didn't my parents leave this serum with you if you guys were so close?"
"If you were in their place, would you?" Tony replied with another question.
"Fair enough," John nodded in agreement.
John then observed the researchers and soldiers sprawled across the room when they were hit by John's Devil Fruit power.
The wall on which they had crashed earlier from John's attack also had cracks all over it, hinting that it may fall the next moment.
While carrying out the attack, John used the minimal power of the fruit possible. This was because the Quake Quake Fruit possessed an astonishing amount of destructive power. Since John had only recently consumed the fruit, he still lacked full control and could not fully unleash its power.
If he were to use the fruit's power recklessly, he would end up injuring himself. Additionally, it was not explicitly stated in the anime, but John discovered that a strong physique was necessary to effectively utilize the fruit's power.
With his physical strength now improved compared to before, he would be able to unleash the fruit's powers even more effectively.
'I guess, I should thank the kidnappers in a way,' John wondered.

Moreover, the people who are blaming me for including the word count instead of writing the chapters, I did it not because I wanted to climb the rankings. Well, honestly, maybe a little. But the main reason was that I wanted to gauge the readers' reaction to the plot of the story. And since I am not a skilled writer, I find it much more beneficial in shaping my fanfiction.
