"I don't know, it was just a hunch," John shrugged, trying to dodge the question of how he considered Scott to be her boyfriend.
The reason John asked such a question suddenly was because he saw Scott looking at them from quite a distance away, and John was sure that Jean knew it too, but she just ignored it. Or perhaps she was just used to such stares and had gotten used to them.
"Well, I asked because he has been staring at us for a while," John mentioned.
"Hmm, he's not the first and definitely won't be the last," Jean commented. "I often cause a ruckus in the house and slowly raise my popularity." She further elaborated," It can be uncomfortable sometimes, but it's something I've learned to deal with over time."
John nodded in understanding at Jean's comment. They sat in comfortable silence for a few more minutes, simply enjoying the tranquility of their surroundings.
Eventually, the silence was broken by a loud crash. They turned to see Scott stumbling over his own feet as he approached them.
"Hey, Jean," he greeted, brushing off the embarrassment with a chuckle.
"Hey, Scott," she replied, trying not to laugh at his clumsiness. "What brings you over here?"
Scott scratched the back of his head nervously. "Well, I couldn't help but notice you two talking, and uh...John, can I talk to Jean alone for a minute?"
John raised an eyebrow, looking at the two of them, and said, "Sure, why not?"
John stood up and walked away. As he walked, he couldn't help but feel that Scott seemed to be jealous, as he had sensed Scott's emotions through the Observation Haki.
Meanwhile, Scott took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts. "Jean, I've been wanting to tell you something for a while now. I really like you. I mean, I think you're amazing. And I was wondering if you'd maybe want to go out with me?"
Jean blinked in surprise. She hadn't expected such a confession from Scott, especially not so soon after their previous conversation. She looked at him for a moment, her expression thoughtful.
"Scott, you're a great guy," she began. "And I appreciate your feelings, but I think it's best if we just stay friends. I hope you understand."
Scott nodded, disappointment evident in his eyes. "Yeah, of course. I just thought... Well, I guess I read the situation wrong."
"It's not your fault," Jean assured him. "These things can be complicated, and sometimes timing just isn't right. But I hope we can still be friends."
Scott smiled, albeit a bit sadly. "Yeah, I'd like that. Thanks, Jean."
They sat in silence for a moment, the weight of the conversation settling between them. Then, Jean stood up, breaking the tension.
"Well, I should probably go catch up with John," she said, giving Scott a friendly pat on the shoulder. "The professor asked me to show him the training facilities and introduce him to the instructors and the students. Take care, Scott."
Scott watched Jean walk away, a mix of emotions running through his mind. He couldn't help but feel a sense of loss, but his eyes flashed with renewed determination as he promised himself not to give up and to try harder to pursue her.
He realized that this was a boneheaded move on his part. He had been a bit hasty in asking her out because he felt somewhat threatened by John's presence.
But now, seeing her walk away, Scott knew he needed to take a step back and reevaluate his approach. He needed to focus on building a genuine connection with Jean, rather than rushing into a romantic relationship.
With a clear plan in mind, Scott headed towards the training facilities to work on his powers. As a mutant, he had the ability to shoot optic blasts from his eyes, but he knew he still had much to learn and improve upon.
Whereas Jean walked towards John, who was standing quite a distance away from them, in order to give them privacy.
"Hey John," Jean called out, mustering a smile. "Are you ready to check out the training facilities?"
John turned to face her, excitement visible on his face. "Of course."
Jean chuckled,"Oh, you'll love it. It can simulate all kinds of scenarios, perfect for testing your powers and training."
Jean then asked John to follow her to the training facilities.
As John made his way through the school, he couldn't help but be impressed by the sheer size and grandeur of it all. Seeing it in movies and reality were two totally different things. John felt surreal walking through Xavier's School. The hallways were bustling with students, each with their own unique abilities and powers. He passed by classrooms where mutants were honing their skills, learning to control their powers under the guidance of expert teachers. It was clear that this was a place where mutants could truly thrive.
Finally, John and Jean arrived at the training facilities. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before. There were multiple state-of-the-art training rooms, each equipped with advanced technology and equipment tailored to different mutant abilities. There was a room filled with holographic simulations, allowing mutants to practice their powers in a controlled environment. Another room had weights and exercise machines specifically designed for mutants with enhanced strength.
John couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement as he explored the training facilities. It was clear that the resources and support available at Xavier's school were unmatched, and it was an opportunity he didn't want to pass up.
Jean started explaining," We have a wide range of training facilities, including an outdoor training area, a combat training room, and various specialized areas for different powers and abilities. We also have a curriculum that covers everything from combat training to control and understanding of our abilities."
Jean continued, "We also offer classes in ethics and responsibility, as well as courses tailored to each student's specific abilities. We believe in nurturing not just physical strength, but also moral character and understanding of one's powers."
It appears that Xavier had initially made her learn everything so that she could explain everything to the visitors in a comprehensive manner. And with Jean's memory, it wasn't a very big deal for her.
Jean still hadn't stopped, "Absolutely. Our instructors are experienced and skilled in helping students unlock their potential and learn to control their powers. And we also have resources available for students who may be struggling with their abilities or have questions. We strive to create a supportive and empowering environment for everyone here."
"You know, if you were trying to sell something, people would find it hard to reject," John finally stopped her rambling.
Jean smiled a bit and responded, "Now, let me introduce you to the instructors."

Konnichiwa, Author here.
**As earlier I had taken a poll from you guys about the type of villain to be introduced in the fiction. And the votes favoured comic villains more than the Oc ones. Well I have decided to add few comic characters to the fiction as per the votes. However the plot followed will still be of the MCU movies as I had said in the synopsis. The comic characters will be blended into the plot of the fiction, this gradually and slowly changing the plot. I hope you guys are okay with this descision.
••YES
••No
**One more question: would it be okay if I added my own plot to this fiction? It would incorporate characters from both the movies and the comics, but it will differ from what is shown in those mediums. Please don't worry, as it will not completely change the entire fiction. Instead, the existing plot line will gradually develop towards the plot I created. So, should I go ahead with it?
••Yes
••No
Also, the part where it seemed that John was ordering Tony like a subordinate was actually my fault in properly constructing the sentences. The words I used made it seem like John was giving orders to Tony rather than making a request. What happened has already happened, but I will make sure not to make the same mistake in the future chapters. I hope you can forgive me for that.
