[Finally begin Vincent's tactics!]
Among the people Vincent was forced to work with, there was Heinze a male tech engineer with a nice and shy personality.
Amy an assassin for hire with a fiery and explosive temper.
Sen an arrogant and proud prick who's skilled in traps and hunting.
Lime an everything user which allows her to teleport.
And lastly Kane- wait...
"Vincent?" Kane was surprised to see him there.
"Kane," Vincent nodded.
"I didn't know you were going to be here," Kane inquired.
"Neither did I," Responded the Artifact King.
"Are you here to find Alice?" Kane asked quietly and leaned in.
"Yes? Why are you asking?" Vincent was confused.
"I heard that, the story Jacob made was actually a fake one, this operation was to find a special gem called the 'blood' jade."
"What's that?"
"A blood jade is a special type of gem which allows one to store or condense blood, it is really useful to vampires such as Elizabeth, ya know, the one you offended."
Vincent pondered for a bit, "Okay."
He was merely here for the money, if he happened to come across one of those jades he'd see if Iris or Jack wanted it, if not hen he would give it to one of his powers.
Shredder seemed to be interested as he leaned in closer to hear.
"Er-" Kane felt uncomfortable as Shredder leaned in.
"Move a little," Vincent pushed Shredder slightly.
Shredder nodded and pulled back.
"So, we'll be heading here first," Sen the prick pointed at a cave.
"This is a cave of a Quiznak," Sen told them all.
"A powerful creature which resides in swamps, but is incredibly slow."
"This is why our squad with the fastest has been assigned to them," Sen finished as he looked at everyone with contempt before landing his gaze on Shredder.
"Vincent's pet will-" Vincent stopped him.
"He isn't a pet," Vincent told Sen when he noticed that Shredder was about to kill the latter.
"Tsk, fine, Vincent's subordinate will lead the charge and if things get tricky 'he'll' protect our rear," Sen said coldly, "Happy?"
"Yes," Shredder responded.
Sen flinched a little before regaining his composure.
Everyone nodded as they made their way.
Meanwhile...
"Ah! Where are all these critters coming from!?" Jack yelled loudly as he cleaved a gem bug in half.
Iris was doing considerably better as she gracefully maneuvered her rapier around and cut down several gem bugs at once.
"How do you get the stamina to do this?!" Jack asked loudly.
Meanwhile Nexus was in his own battle as he squashed bug after bug with his weaponry. But despite that the gem bugs came in hoards and swarms. There was no where left to go.
Nexus suddenly felt as if Vincent was in danger.
"Master's in danger," Nexus told them all.
"What!?" Iris replied surprised.
"I can feel it," Nexus responded.
"Then let's get out of here and save Vincent," Jack had a new determination in his eyes.
Back with Vincent.
His group had managed to get in as another Quiznak appeared!
Shredder was busy with the other Quiznak as everyone noticed the new one appear and devour Heinze.
"NOO!" A bloodcurdling scream rang out.
Everyone was forced to run back.
But the Quiznak attacked Kane.
Just then, a tall mannequin with an exquisite battle armor, tough cape, a demonic crown, and a hood covering its face appeared. It was Blob, the new one.
A single red dot appeared and shined brightly, in where one's eye should have been.
Blob roared as the Quiznak and him began their duel.
Everyone (mostly) got out safely.
"Damn," Sen watched in envy as Blob fought off the Quiznak.
'Wait a minute...'
Daybreak appeared in Sen's head as a diabolic thought spread. If he killed Vincent, he could use Blob and do whatever he wanted. Malicious and vile seed was planted as Sen looked lustfully at Kane and Amy. Vincent noticed this change as he told them to run before de-summoning Blob and Shredder.
The group ran as the day turned to night.
Sen had 'graciously' offered to be the first night shift. But Vincent sensing his intent insisted he should be the first shift. Sen was stupid enough to allow Vincent to be the first shift. As everyone began sleeping still tired from the events earlier Vincent watched until it was Sen's turn.
"Sen, your turn," Vincent said and went to 'sleep'. Sen nodded and smirked as he approached Vincent's tent, but a rustle in the bushes stopped him.
"Hello?" Sen asked.
Sen was fearful as he grabbed his weapon and slashed the bush which did nothing.
Footprints were leading Sen to the lake.
Those footprints were Vincent's... hehe.
As Sen filled his head with thoughts he eventually saw the lake and started to crouch laying low and searching for Vincent. Fortunately he was behind him. Two clawed hands appeared and reached out to Sen. It snatched Sen and before he could even speak dragged him to the unknown where blood was spilt.
Vincent walked out with slight blood on his face, he washed it off.
He'd gotten rid of Sen, hopefully no one was looking for him.
As Vincent returned he made a small clamor.
Everyone woke up as they saw the empty tent of Sen.
"Sen that bastard!" Kane cursed when she saw him gone.
"He left us here!"
Everyone cursed the dead. Vincent cursed along with them, but a callous smile formed in his heart. Such a feeling when you get rid of an obstacle, a sense of achievement? No, squash that thought down Vincent, right now you are the indifferent blade of Jack. You don't need to become a psychopath.
Meanwhile, a small blue jade in the distance slowly began to turn red.
"Huh, interesting, someone was murdered," Camila who'd been in the shadows observed the jade and smiled cruelly.
Who had done such a bad thing? Camila thought sarcastically.
