Chapter 24- bag of secrets

Aviana's pov:

I woke up on a bed next to my daughter, she had tear stains on her cheeks and red around her eyes.

I went to get up but chlo woke up and hugged me so tight I had to lie back down. 

" what's wrong baby?" I asked her so confused.

" I thought you were dead." She sniffled

" why would you think that?" I asked scared of the answer.

" daddy was holding you in his arms and uncle Emmy and Kai said you was dead and ... and you looked dead." She said.

"You call Colby daddy and the guys uncle?" I asked surprised.

" yeah of course." She said and then got back under the covers.

I was still tired but I didn't want to go back to sleep. I went out to where the guys were and sat on Colby's lap because there was no other spaces.

A growl erupted after someone entered the room. Sooner or later I was being lifted of the person I was on and placed on another lap.

" mine" Colby stated.

I looked up going slightly red in the face. He must of thought I was asleep cause he went red to. Surprisingly I wasn't tired anymore.

" wait then who was I lying on?" I asked looking around for an answer.

" me, but I didn't mind." Kai said with a wink.

I just laughed and leaned against Colby, looking out the window. The view was great. The sun was setting and you could see the reflection of the sun on the water.

It's pitch black outside now and Kai is the only one asleep. I'm surprised everyone's still awake. I decided to paint my nails but every time I moved Colby complained.

" where you going nowww." Colby whined when I got up.

" just getting some stuff." I said going to the bedroom. I have a few nail varnish in my makeup bag so I went to get them. Making sure not to wake chlo up.

I came back out to where Colby was and sat on the floor. I looked through the bag and pick out a light pink. I did my hands and toes, and let me tell you. they. Where. On. Point.

I saw josh looking at the bag continuously. I smiled to myself and decided to ask him.

" do you want me to paint yours josh?"

He looked at me shocked. I could tell he wanted to say yes but he looked at Colby and shook his head.

I looked at Colby myself and eased a brow. He just looked at me as if I speak alien. I turned to josh and said " what colour would you like" I asked giving him my bag of secrets.

He picked a really nice ocean blue. Once I did his fingernails because that's all he wanted done. I got bored again so I decided to do kai's nails while he was asleep, mostly because Emmet wouldn't let me near him with my nail varnish.

I did kai's nails a nice charcoal colour it made him look really nice. I was putting everything away until Noah perked up

" could I have mine done ? I've fallen for this purple." He spoke holding up the purple polish.

I gave a laugh and took the bottle from him and did his nails to. It wasn't long after until one of colby's men came and whispered to him about something.

" shit!. Um. Avi you go into the room and stay with chlo. Don't come out of the room no matter what you hear." Colby said scaring me.

I did as told and went in to the bedroom. I woke chlo up no matter how many times she still tried to sleep.

She finally woke up properly when we herd gunshots. She started crying and I just held her close to me, rocking us both while I covered her ears.

U herd Colby shouting a lot, with more gunshots following. I made chlo hide in the closet. As I was helping her hide I found a secret compartment in the wardrobe. Inside it was a rifle and two shotguns.

I put the two shot gun in my wasteland and held the rifle in my hands. Someone knocked on the door, they couldn't get in because I locked the door, I went and unlocked the door holding the rifle tight.

The door opened and 5 guys stood in front of me with guns pointed at me.

" drop the rifle, or your friends get it." One guy spoke checking me out. He had green spiked hair and a skull tattoo on his neck.

I handed over the rifle and the green haired guy dragged me over to wear the guys were. He shoved me toward Colby and then quickly pulled me back. He must of seen the pistols.

He took the guns from me a patted me down. "Touch my ass one more time and I'm gonna kick you where the sun doesn't shine." I spoke angry that I couldn't do anything.

He clearly wasn't good at come-backs because what he said next was just plain weird. "Promise."

I rolled me eyes before I got though to the ground. I don't know what they want but they all looked pretty smug with themselves.

I'm not even sure how they got in. I could tell they came through the door but how? 

Green head kept looking at me up and down. It made me sick. As if it couldn't get worse chlo entered the room but no one but me and Colby saw her.

Green guy was about to turn around so I had to do something. "Uhh.. hey I never got your name." I spoke trying to do something at least.

He chuckled and came closer to me " my names Adam, princess." He was about to turn back around when 7 more gun shots went off and all the bad guys was dead on the floor and a confused chlo who was holding a pistol.
