Chapter Fifty four

I dressed in blue jeans and a red blouse tying my hair in a ponytail "guess I would be going" I thought to myself and headed out "let's go then", I raised my hand to hip Sunny " Yay let's go"  "So where are we going" I asked Andrew who was chanting a song with Sunny "Ummm... It's a surprise"  "wow!! Mummy it's a surprise" sunny shout with joy "Even to me? I pretended to frown " of course" he laughed I have grown so close with Andrew and I love his company whenever he was free from work. 

He drove us to a game house "Wow! never been here" I turn and pout my lips "you are now! " Hey wait up! I saw sunny already running into the building, jeez! I ran after her not to get hurt.

 Since she has been diagnosed as an asthmatic, I was really careful not to let her out of my sight. I heard Andrew chuckle behind before following up.

"Mummy! Let's play this one" Sunny pointed at the dancing game device "oh! I think that's will be fun". " if you can dance" Andrew challenged  "let's try then" I laughed watching him dance first with Sunny and Andrew lets Sunny to win, faking a sad face after she won. 

I dance with Sunny too and she wins jumping and cheering herself "What about!, I challenge mum to a dance" that would be funny yay" "okay let's go I'm all ready for you" let's see then who wins "Jeez! He was a great dancer. Of course, he was declared the winner. " Again, again!! Sunny cheered we danced with her till our feet hurt, "I think I'm going drop dead if I make any more move"  Sunny giggled and pointed to another device.

 we tried three different games before heading to an eatery then finally to the park. We kept a close eye on her as she drives the swing. " you're worried about her,"  Andrew asked watching as Sunny ride high on the air.

 "Yeah! am worried that she might not feel like many other kids and might not be able to do some fun activities other kids of her age do, you know I just want her to be always happy". "She is, look at her, she's happy as far as your there with her" he patted my head and turned back to watch Sunny "Mum wants me to come back". " Do you?  "I can't even if I want to, you know here reminds me of so many good memories I have with you all but there... It just reminds me of the memories I never wish to recall, going back will make it hard for me". 

" Then don't go, stay here and build your home". "Thanks" I looked up at giggling Sunny. "She's so happy". " Like you". "Am I?  " of course, you know when you first arrive in Anaheim, aunt thought you'll never move on but getting you a job, giving birth to your daughter, have made you one of the happiest mum". I smiled at his comforting word. "Nothing gives me greater joy to see her smile and you all had made me the woman I have become". " we gave you a little support, while you used it to build yourself up the way you are, you made yourself the woman you are now". "Such a sweet talker I laugh turning back to see Sunny running toward us happily. I opened my arms for her to run into it. " Uncle I'm inviting you for dinner".

 "Oh! my". I looked at her surprised. " mum will you let him come over" she pout "Sunny, uncle is busy with work, he can't make it". " what about tomorrow". "Sunny! " please mum". "You know I can't refuse you but I can if your uncle will be free".  " Are you? Sunny tilted her head to look up at Andrew. "Of course, I won't refuse my first date" She smiled holding up her palm to cover her face. "I will be there tomorrow with my best cloth to impress my little angel" 

When he finally pulled to a stop in front of my apartment "She's already asleep to wish you a good night" he smiled stroking her hair. "Thanks for today"  "Always". He hesitates for a moment before pressing his lips on my cheek "Thanks for today Becca" I waved him goodbye as he drove off with Sunny in my arms, We went inside.

The next day, Julian Sunny friend came to visit. "Mum! Julian asked if I would be in school tomorrow". " yes, of course, come let's make Sunday pie  "with Julian?  " yes with Julian"  I played the music to medium and sing along with the girls as we baked pie and cookies when a knock interrupted us.

 "Wait here girls, I'll get it"  who could it be, I wasn't expecting anyone except Andrew but it was too early for dinner, maybe it was one of the neighbors or Julian's mother I walked to the door and pulled it open. My heart stopped as I stare at the man standing n front of my door. Sam!!!

What was he doing here, how was it possible, in my home? I slammed the door shut. This couldn't be, it wasn't possible maybe I mistook him for Sam but I recognized him, those eyes! No! It couldn't be after five years.

 "Mum is It uncle" Sunny asked on top of her voice, I rushed to her and held her tightly in my arms. "This couldn't be! It wasn't possible " Mum! What's wrong, you're shivering"  "it nothing baby". How was this possible, why was he here? Why. " mum! Sunny sobbed "sorry baby". But I couldn't stop myself from shivering and thinking" "Aunt! Julian called. I was scaring them, I stood and kissed both their forehead before motioning them the to the room and rushed for my phone " What happen! "His...his here, it cant be maybe am just dreaming" I blabbed Am coming right away" the line disconnected. But I couldn't move my feet, why was that monster here, the person who has ruined my life and made my life seem meaningless, he was the last person, I want to see on this earth.
