3 3. Clarissa, I Miss You

The room felt so tense after Clarissa came out of there. Billy who initially felt calm now is like an awkward person. Especially when he saw the expression of the man in front of him.

Johan was very surprised when he saw the face he missed so much, he never imagined that he would meet this woman here. When Johan saw Clarissa rush out of his room, he immediately knew that Clarissa still hated him.

But for Johan this is all fate, he will never blame all these circumstances, maybe this is the answer to all his prayers. But even so, himself was at a loss as to what to do with the girl.

Billy paid close attention to Johan's facial expression, his eyes looked so blank, he was like a confused person. Billy was sure that there was something between Clarissa and her superior, could they have known each other before? Billy didn't even know.

"Sir," Billy called, he dared himself because he had been standing there for a long time, even his legs were tingling. But Johan didn't utter a word either. Instead, he was busy with his thoughts instead of interviewing Billy.

"Eh, yes," Johan immediately regained his senses.

"Excuse me, sir. When does this interview start? Billy asked.

"Now, let's get started. May I see your CV?"

"Here, sir," Billy gave his CV and also Clarissa's.

"Oh so Clarissa lives in The Scotts Tower apartment, not far from here," Johan said in his heart as he read Clarissa's CV. He read every detail in the CV that made Billy have to wait again.

"So how's it going, sir?" Billy asked.

"Oh, yes. I feel like I don't need to ask a lot of questions anymore because I believe that all students from Singapore Management University are competent after all SMU is one of the best universities here. Moreover, you are majoring in Business Management, so I believe you will do a good job here," replied Johan.

Billy gleamed happily, "You mean my father was accepted as an internship here?"

"Yes, starting tomorrow you can immediately start your internship, I will place you in the marketing department."

"Okay, sir. Thank you very much for the opportunity," Billy shook Johan's hand as a token of his gratitude.

"Yes, you're welcome. Anyway, I think because we are the same age, so you don't have to speak formally with me, except informal forums. Yes, I don't feel comfortable being called "father" at the same age, even though I already have a child," Johan chuckled, making the dimples on his face more clearly visible.

"So what do I call you, sir?"

"Just call Johan, let's just say I'm your friend, we're from the same country. So, take it easy," Johan smiled again.

It is undeniable that Billy's boss has a very handsome face with a slight beard on his face, the aura that radiates from his face is also very charismatic. His thick eyebrows were knit together, his jaw looked strong, and his nose was so sharp. His skin was indeed tan but it was perfect for his tall stature, making him look even more manly. Billy had admired the figure of the man in front of him many times, but he had no idea that the man was already married and even had children. Even though he was still the same age as Billy.

"Oya, where is your friend earlier?" asked Johan changing the subject.

"He went to the toilet first, I'll call him later," answered Billy.

"Yes, please call, tell him that I am waiting for him here," said Johan. He wanted to see that face again, though he didn't know what to do next when he faced Clarissa.

"Okay, sir. I'll excuse myself," Billy immediately left Johan's room after saying goodbye. He hastily messaged Clarissa and told her to return there immediately.

Billy was very surprised when he read a message from Clarissa, he said the girl did not want to intern here and intended to ask for dispensation to campus.

"Wow, what's wrong with Clarissa? She is so crazy! Why doesn't he think clearly before making a decision," Billy grumbled to himself. He didn't understand why Clarissa was behaving so strangely like this. Whereas usually, Clarissa is a brave person and never gives up.

Yes, Billy never really knew what Clarissa was like. He only knew what Clarissa used to show everyone, not her real self.

Billy :

"Ris, hurry back here. Please, don't just make a decision. I'm waiting for you."

Billy immediately sent a message, but still no reply from Clarissa. When Billy decided to follow Clarissa, apparently the girl had just come out of the elevator. Finally, Billy could breathe a sigh of relief.

"Clarissa! I thought you left, it's good that you're still sane," said Billy.

"Have you finished the interview?" asked Clarissa, he seemed lazy to make small talk.

"It's been a while, now you are waiting for Mr. Johan Maybe you want to be given a job desk," said Billy. Without another word, Clarissa immediately entered Johan's room.

"Excuse me, sir," Clarissa said, her facial expression was very difficult to interpret, she acted as if she had never known the man in front of her.

"Clarissa," Johan called, he immediately approached Clarissa and stood right in front of him.

"My name is Clarissa, I am a student from Singapore Management University who…"

"Ris, I… I didn't expect to meet you here," Johan interrupted Clarissa's words, she said with teary eyes.

But Clarissa didn't care, she didn't want to hear anything Johan had to say. His gaze remained straight ahead as if there was no one in front of him.

"The one assigned by the campus is to do an internship at this company. I had to because I couldn't apply for any dispensation at the campus," Clarissa continued. He didn't even respond to Johan's said.

"Clarissa, I… I've been looking for you for three years, and it turns out that we met here. For whatever reason, I miss you, Ris," said Johan, his voice starting to sound hoarse from holding back the tears that burst out, he was so touched because he could see the face of the woman he missed so much.
