Is That Kevin?

"Hello Kevin! Did you have a good sleep last night?" Mr. Harry greeted.

"Yes, Mr. Harry. Thanks for bringing breakfast," Kevin thanked him.

"Once we finish eating, we'll have to go," Mr. Harry informed.

"Alright," Kevin agreed.

"Afterwards, we can grab lunch at your hotel," Mr. Harry suggested.

"I'm really looking forward to it," Kevin said, excited.

Knock...knock...

Jenny and Sophia knocked on Mrs Johnson's door. They saw that Kevin's apartment was locked. They wanted to know when Kevin would come back.

Mrs. Johnson opened the door and saw two unfamiliar faces.

"Miss, do you know when Kevin will come back?" Sophia asked the lady.

Hearing Kevin's name, Mrs. Johnson started to get angry. When Kevin left, she was happy to get money. But later, she found out that her son sold the family's heirloom, and the 30,000 World Coins she gave Kevin were the money her son got from selling it. Kevin tricked her. The shopkeeper asked for 200,000 World Coins if she wanted to buy it back. She had no choice because it was very special to her.

"Are you Kevin's friends?" Mrs. Johnson asked, still angry.

The girls were a bit scared seeing Mrs Johnson so angry.

"No, no, we're not his friends. He lied to my friend's boyfriend, and in the end, they broke up," Sophia said nervously.

"Yeah," Jenny added.

"Kevin already moved out of the apartment. He said he'll stay with his friend because he lost his job," Mrs Johnson explained.

"That's why he was at the park. He was fired from his work," Sophia and Jenny realized.

"Oh, he vacated the apartment. Seems like he's having a tough time finding a job, unlike me," a voice behind them said.

All three turned to look at the person.

"Who are you?" Jenny asked.

"I used to work with Kevin. I lost my job because of him. But now I got a new job and I make more than before. I just came to check on Kevin. Seems like he doesn't even have money for rent," Emma shared.

"Kevin never seemed like that kind of person, but after what he did to us, I believe you," Sophia responded.

"Anyway, I'm in a hurry. Gotta go." Emma left with a smile, knowing she was living better than him.

Jenny and Sophia also walked away, aware that Kevin had moved out. They tried calling him, but he wasn't responding.

"What do we do now? We don't even know where he's staying," Jenny said.

"Caleb, You wanna host a reunion here? You do know that his hotel is expensive," Ryan said

"Yeah, but I can afford it. Maybe Hazel will change her mind if she sees this," Caleb said, excited.

"But she already has a boyfriend. Do you think she'll leave him for you?" Ryan asked.

"Do you think he deserves her? She's rich, smart, and beautiful. I'll show her that I'm better than him and make her regret for rejecting me before. Once she realizes that, she'll want to be my girlfriend," Caleb said happily.

"Oh, okay," Ryan simply agreed.

Hazel was the most popular girl in the college. She's rich, good at sports and academics, and the most beautiful girl on campus. Every guy here wants her to be his girlfriend. She's a celebrity in the school. She's turned down every guy who's asked her out except for her childhood friend, Henry.

Even before they were officially a couple, Henry was very close to Hazel, and many boys were envious of him for being close to her. But no one dared to do anything because they didn't want to upset Hazel.

Ryan just stayed quiet. Just then, he spotted a familiar figure walking to the VIP section of the hotel, welcomed by the manager.

"Hey Caleb, is that Kevin?" Ryan pointed to a man whose back was turned to them.

Caleb looked at the man but couldn't see his face. The man was wearing expensive clothes. Caleb started laughing.

"Kevin, that poor orphan in our class? Did you really think that person could be him? Kevin can't even afford a single dish in this hotel with his salary. How could he possibly be here?" Caleb continued to laugh.

Ryan nodded in agreement. Kevin was an orphan and a regular worker. This restaurant was quite expensive. He only came here because he was with Caleb.
