"Excuse me, Miss," Kevin said politely. He wanted to check if the woman next to him was okay.

Daisy turned to look at the person who called her.

"Are you okay?" Kevin asked, looking concerned.

Daisy glanced at the person sitting beside her. It was a stranger who seemed concerned about her. Meanwhile, her soon-to-be husband was dancing with another girl on the stage without caring about his fiancée. Daisy wondered why fate was so cruel to her.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thanks for your concern."Daisy replied.

She used to think Lucy cared about how she felt in the past. But now that Daisy knew the truth, she wasn't sure if Lucy had ever truly cared about her. But it had all been an act.

"Are you here alone?" Kevin inquired.

"No, I'm not alone. I came with my fiancé," Daisy replied, sipping her drink.

Kevin looked around but didn't see her fiancé. "Where is he?"

"He's over there, dancing with the girl in the short skirt," Daisy answered.

Kevin turned his head to see where she was pointing. He saw a man and a woman dancing. The man was holding the woman too close to him.

Kevin couldn't understand the situation. That man was engaged to Daisy, yet he was dancing intimately with another girl, and Daisy sat there, quiet and unbothered. That man seemed focused on the girl before him, not even looking at his fiancé.

"Is he your fiancé?" Kevin wanted to confirm if he was correct.

"Yes, he is," Daisy replied.

"And you're okay with this?" Kevin asked.

Daisy wanted to scream and cry and tell him she wasn't okay with it. She never wanted to be here. But she had to maintain her image as the daughter of the Gilbert family.

"No, I'm not," she admitted honestly. She was tired of lying to everyone and pretending that everything would be okay in the end.

"Then why aren't you stopping him?" Kevin questioned.

"I can't," Daisy replied. She felt powerless. If she did something now, she knew she'd suffer more later. She didn't want to suffer anymore.

"Why can't you stop him? Why not end things with him?" Kevin couldn't understand why she would stay in this situation.

"My father wants me to marry him. This is the first time I've met him," Daisy explained.

"Does your father know about him? Maybe you should tell him he's not right for you," Kevin suggested.

"I told my father, but he said I should stop complaining," Daisy said.

Daisy usually keeps her worries to herself. She thinks others won't get it. When she shares, people think she's a rich kid who only knows how to complain.

They think, "She's wealthy. What could be wrong with her? She can get anything she wants."

Because Daisy comes from a rich family, everyone assumes she has no problems and can get whatever she desires.

It's not usual for her to hear that someone is worried about her. She doesn't understand why the person beside her is worried. She knows she's not very good at judging a person's true colours, but he didn't make fun of her for just talking about her problems like a spoiled rich kid.

Kevin didn't get why her family treated her this way. And Daisy didn't seem upset about it. She talked to him without emotion, like this wasn't the first time it had happened to her.
