I drove to work in the morning because I had to. Not because I wanted to. I would have preffered staying at home and lazing around, honestly. But when life gives you lemons...

I hadn't called Alexis after I left her apartment and she hadn't called me. I just sent her a text saying I had gotten home safe and she sent me a thumbs up emoji. That was about it. No further conversation.

I parked in the parking lot and hopped out heading for the building. I jumped into the elevator and made my way to my office. Taylor's desk was right outside my door so I'd collect her on the way. She had some explaining to do.

"Taylor. In my office. Now." I told her as I made my way inside, leaving the door opened for her. I checked my watch for the time as I rounded my desk, placed my bag on the chair I kept next to mine, took of my blazer and hung it on the chair before I faced the door, sitting down on my chair. It was eight a.m on the dot.
