In the City of Crime, one law stands above them all: Only the strongest can live. Fighting is normal, extortion is common, and death is inevitable. Born into a wealthy family yet forced to live in poverty, Kanae Nali vowed to become strong enough to take back what rightfully belonged to her—even if it meant that she had to face the consequences and brave the dangers lurking in every corner. Yet on the outside, just like her mysterious peers, she was no different from the other high school students living their lives to the fullest. “Under the ray of light, my ability will only make me die faster. Under the veil of night, my ability allows me to survive longer.” ____ Story set in fictional city. Any similarities with real world's event is purely coincidence. "As the clan head, I believe you should be pretty busy, Kevin Kalin," Ferdinand said in a low voice. "What are you doing here?"
"I believe I have the right not to answer your question," Kevin retorted back flatly. His eyes focused on the man in front of him as he carefully tried to read the other party's expression.
Ferdinand crossed his arms. "Could it be that you came for that little girl named Kanae Nali?"
Hearing that, Kevin nearly frowned. He managed to restrain himself, but he was not sure if Ferdinand caught the slight change in his expression. If the other party knew that he bore special feelings for Kanae, the girl would get involved in more troubles in the future.
Ferdinand sneered internally. The person before him was merely a little boy unworthy of his attention. He was too young to understand the vastness and complications of the world. This boy wouldn't make it safely as the clan leader of the biggest clan in the city.
