In the City of Crime, one law stands above them all: Only the strongest can live. Fighting is normal, extortion is common, and death is inevitable. Born into a wealthy family yet forced to live in poverty, Kanae Nali vowed to become strong enough to take back what rightfully belonged to her—even if it meant that she had to face the consequences and brave the dangers lurking in every corner. Yet on the outside, just like her mysterious peers, she was no different from the other high school students living their lives to the fullest. “Under the ray of light, my ability will only make me die faster. Under the veil of night, my ability allows me to survive longer.” ____ Story set in fictional city. Any similarities with real world's event is purely coincidence. "Boss, what do you plan to do? They seem to be getting cockier with time," Neo asked after Kanae was already long gone. His work in the office was basically finished. The only work he had left was searching about Kanae's past. The Nali Family had stricter security for this, so he had to take things slowly.
Kevin recalled the problems in the clan once again. This was not the time to deal with his feelings. He had more important matters to take care for the time being.
"What do you think they're planning, Neo?" Kevin threw the question back.
Neo frowned. "From their actions, they seem to be creating rifts in the clan. Even if they're targeted as traitors, they will surely try their best to lower our clan's overall prowess before they get rooted out."
