Under The Cherry Blossom

The sound of the bell clock makes Mio wake up from sleep. She wipe her face before she go to the makeup table besides her bed. Well nothing changes. To be honest, every times she woke up from sleep, she hope that she will be someone else.

Not Mio Adachi.

She grab the towel and stepping into the toilet. She need to prepare herself or she gonna late for the school. After a few minutes, she come out and hear her mother voice talked with some man that she doesn't know. What to do, she doesn't have any rights to stop her mother.

She is just a child. The unwanted child.

For your information, Mio is a illegitimate child but thanks to his father's friend, she got to hide that she is an illegitimate child. Mio's parents divorced when she is 5 years old. Her mother found a man 'better' than his father and decides to leaves the house with Mio.

That time, she can't think straight and the more she grows up, the more she understand the situation in her life. Without her mother know, Mio will meet up with her father secretly. She need to do like this cause her mother will attack his father. Psycho right? Yeah she knew it. You're asking why her mother behave like that? She don't know either but for sure her mother hate her father so much.

After a few minutes, Mio stepped out from her room when she hear the man's footsteps getting away from her apartment. She looks at her mother. There is love bites everywhere. Her mother notices the changes of Mio expression.

"What? Why you looked at me with disgusting face? Surprised? Well you will be like me in the future. Remember my word okay. By the way please buy me a breakfast. I hungry."

Mio hold her anger. Why? For once, stop telling her that in the future she will be like her mother. If it is true, she will changed her own destiny. She don't care what happen in future as long as she doesn't being like her mother.

"Are you sure that I will be like you? Absolutely no. Ah, one more thing. I need to the school early today so do everything with both of your hand, not mine." Says Mio before exiting his apartment

Mio run as fast as her can. She just hope that she is not late for school Well this is her mother fault. Luckily she remember about the money she kept under the matters otherwise, the money that her father gave her will used by her mother. Of course Mio's mother will use the money to find a man and shopping.

She needs to return back to home to get back her money and now she only have 10 minutes left before school bells begin to rang.

Mio's mind is on somewhere else and it makes Mio doesn't notices the boy who stood up in front of the cherry blossom tree. Unfortunately, the boy also don't noticed too and both of them fall down together.

"I'm sorry. Really-" Said Mio but her word stop when her eyes meet with the boy. For a minutes, they been in their word. Both of them staring each other without any words. Unconsciously, that boy hand is on Mio's cheek but they come back to reality when they hear someone talk.

After she looked at the face of the boy she bump into she become panic. Of course she will be panic cause the boy he just bump into is the trouble maker of the school. Who don't know Haruki Honda? There are many bad rumors about him such as he is part of yakuza, he slept with different woman every night and there also says he is actually a drug dealer. Many students saw Haruki get into a fight and because of that he get suspended from school many times.

Mio just ignored Haruki's stares and continued picked up the books that were scattered due to the incidents earlier. She try her best to ignored Haruki and hope that boy will go away. Please, she just have enough with her mother.

"Here your book." Said Haruki casually.

Mio actions stop for a while. Slowly she looked up to Haruki. He smile sweetly and unconscious said, "Damn. Your eyes and smile, they freaking cute and- " she doesn't have time to finish her words, Haruki interrupted with his laughter.

His laughter makes Mio came back to reality. For real, Haruki's smile really stunning and make her speechless for a while. Mio took the book handed by Haruki. Instead say "thanks" she just nodded and smile back before she continued her run.

Haruki see it and laughed again after seeing Mio's clumsiness.

"As I thought, she is indeed interesting."

Lesson by Mr Kurosawa didn't attract Mio's attention, usually she is the most hype for history subject but her mind still stuck with Haruki's behaviour. He is not as bad as the rumored. He even got a handsome and stunning smile, how could everyone say bad to him?

"Mio? Are you okay? You feel sick?" Asked Mr Kurosawa to Mio. He also feel weird when Mio didn't response the question.

Mio come back to reality. Quickly she denied Mr Kurosawa question. "I'm sorry sir. My mind is on somewhere else."

"It's okay, if you don't feel right tell me or your friend."

Mio just nodded. She can't say to Mr Kurosawa that she is doesn't get along with her classmate. Well, she is not a sociable person to be honest. She prefer to stay alone but she still greet other students and her own classmate. She only don't like mixed with others. If you asked her helped, she will help you so Mio just doesn't like to be in the spotlight.

Bam!

The sound of the door opening abruptly made the Mr Kuosawa class pause for a moment. They shift their focus to Haruki, the one who open the door harshly. Everyone in silent and shock mode. Who thought this guy would join history class?

Haruki walk likes there is nothing happen. He takes sit beside Mio and accidently their eyes meet. Both of them become speechless. Of course they never have idea to meet again after this morning accident. In fact, they are classmate.

It's been almost 6 months since she went to school and she swear she never see Haruki in the class. Even in the school! For her, everything is crazy. First, she had to argue with her mother about her life and his mother attitude. Second, she needs to return back to home to save the money from being found by her mother and the most unlucky part, she bump into Haruki Honda! Now she even have be a classmate with him.

"God. Is there anything I made you pissed off today? Did do something unpleasant?" Mio starts to asking the god about her luck.

"Hey you."

Mio flinch when Haruki starts to talk to her.

"Yes?"

Haruki smile. "You left your train card. By the way, what is your name?"

Mio smile awkward. She take the train card handed by Haruki and question herself how can she left something important? And how come Haruki doesn't know her name? Like you already got the train card and of course you will see the name on the card right? Mio just sigh slowly and smile.

"Thanks. My name is Mio Adachi. How bout you?"

"Me? Haruki Honda."
