Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

Realized.

"Mom, Dad" Nathan walked in. He didn't see Alex with the two and frowned.

"Alex is sleeping in your room, so come here & tell us what happened," his father said.

He sighed moving to the living room, "It's my fault for having left her to go alone" he said.

"Go where?".

"To meet her sister, she told Alex something that upset her," he said.

"What did she say?" Rosa asked.

Nathan told them everything and they were shocked.

"My daughter hasn't got any peaceful day in her life since her father's death," Alex's mother said.

"What should we do now that Alex has found out? I wanted to tell her but Cynthia got to her first" Nathan said.

"Let her rest when she wakes up tomorrow then we can talk, "his father said.

But when Nathan went in to check on her she wasn't inside his room.

"Alex isn't upstairs" He came back down.

"Ahh, but I left her there asleep," her mother said.

"Well then, I guess she left without you both noticing," he said calling one of the maids. "Tell the others to look for Alex around and inside the house"

She frowned glancing at them, "She left a while ago before you arrived"

"What? why didn't you tell us," George asked?

"She told us not to unless you asked where she was" she answered.

"Did she say where she was heading?" her mother asked.

"No, all she said was young master would know," the maid said.

"Me?" asked Nathan, the maid nodded.

He frowned dismissing her.

"Do you know what she meant?" Rosa asked.

Nathan shook his head getting his phone he called her but got no reply.

"I just got her out of that pain and now we are back at it again cause of that crazy family "he breathed.

"Try thinking about it son, where would she go to be alone," his father said.

Nathan blinked, "I know, I will be back," he said running off.

....

Alex walked up to the little cottage and sat down, it was a dark chilly night but the fire files lit up the whole place. Gazing up at the empty sky she sighed.

"Dad, I miss you" she mouthed as the fire files surrounded her. "I don't know if I should give report it or let it be... But you deserve justice, what she did was wrong... but.... but then Cynthia while the remaining parents she has now, won't she hate me" she sniffed.

She looked up when a heavy loud sound got closer, it was a helicopter. She recognized it as it landed down slowly. It was the same Nathan had used to pick her up on their first date.

She smiled seeing him move out. As he got closer with fear and anxiousness for her, Alex realized how much he loved her. He had always been there for her even before she knew she loved him.

"Alex" he called standing in front of her. She took a step back and he pushed to her again. Alex smiled.

"Why is it that even when I take a step back you don't hesitate to still come closer?" she gaped at him.

Nathan took two more steps to her and she was in his arms, Alex felt his hand hold her neck pulling her to him. His soft lips covered hers filling Alex's cold body with his warmth. Opening her eyes as he left them, Nathan gently pushed her hair behind her ear.

"Because I love you," he said.
