"It's good you called me it would have gotten worse if she didnt get it checked," the doctor said. "She will have to rest for a few weeks and take the drugs I prescribed. Didn't let her move around until that ankle is fully healed or she will damage it more".

"I understand, thank you, doctor," Cynthia said walking him to the door.

She returned and gazed at her sister, "See, what if I listened to you and didn't call him, then I would have gotten worse"

"Yes, thank you," Alex said.

"You should rest while I go get your medication," she said grabbing her bag.

"Okay," she laid back down and called her mother. Telling her she was okay and would spend her weekend at her place.

Cynthia returned. "Here are your drugs take some right now and later in the afternoon, I have to go now Dad needs me to do some paperwork for him but I will be back in the evening to give you a bath"

"Mmm"

"I would have done it right now but am running late" Cynthia paused to see her messy sister on the couch., "Maybe we call mom and tell her she can come to take care of you"

"No, don't tell her anything 'cause I didn't tell her too, I don't want her to worry" Alex protested.

"So you're going to stay like that until I return, isn't it uncomfortable?" she asked.

"It is but I can hold on until you get back" she smiled.

"Then take care of yourself, if there is anything you need urgently call me," she said walking to the door.

"I will be fine, see you later" she waved at her sister.

She looked around and sighed, she did feel irritated but being a burden to others wasn't something she enjoyed.

"Am sorry sister but am not listening to the doctor, I need to move around or I will go crazy being like this the whole day" slowly she pulled the injured leg down to the floor and pushed herself up, limping she grabbed the food containers and moved to the kitchen, she cleaned her living room carefully making sure not to use the injured ankle and keep her balance.

"There it's done" she smiled looking at the organised living room.

Her doorbell rang and she jumped in surprise losing her balance, she yelped as she headed down to the floor.

Nathan had decided to come to check on Alex since he was worried about her. He walked to her door and knocked, he heard her yell from inside and panicked.

He knocked again, "Alex, is that you?"

"Who is it?" she yelled

"Nathan" he answered.

"Mr Livingston you can let yourself in," she said.

He moved to open the door, and upon walking in he saw her down on the floor.

"What happened are you okay" he was beside her in seconds. Before she could answer his arms were around her and taking her off the floor and back to the sofa.

"Am fine just lost my balance" she said.

"Why are you getting up, you can hurt yourself even more," he said

"I know but I needed to clear up some things," she said.

He sighed looking at her, "Tell me what you need and I will do it or get it but please don't move around"

She wanted to protest but he stopped her, " I know what you're going to say but it's me who is offering myself to help so don't hesitate and let me do it"

She blinked gazing at him. His face formed a smile and she smiled back.

"Okay?" he said.

"Okay," she nodded.
