Time seemed to pass by rapidly as Raito's entire focus was placed in developing the game, he barely noticed at all that many hours had passed since he began making the game. Just making the game was very addicting, especially when the way he could create it was pretty much a game itself.

In this one sitting, he had already pretty much finished the entire game. Well, not the entire game as there was still much more he could add if he so wished. But, he had at least completed everything he needed for the game to function properly such as the game functions, maps, and also default character and prop models.

Speaking of character models, he had made sure to give himself a character model that would make him stand out to anyone else. His model consisted of black hair, red eyes, along with black sleek pants. He wore a tight black and gold shirt along with white running shoes. He didn't want his character to be over the top and wear things like armour and stuff like that.

Finishing off his model design, he added a pair of black and gold headphones around his neck along with a long red scarf that was wrapped around his right arm that floated around his body as if it was defying the laws of gravity.

Of course, it wouldn't be Roblox if his character was realistic. While he didn't keep the blocky square bodies of the Roblox characters, his character was more human-like with a few muscles and all that. He didn't want to be a walking cube, that was for when he decided to create Minecraft. Of course, other people could choose to be blocky if they wanted in this game.

Anyway, the games that Raito had decided to create were all different from one another. He wanted a variety of different mini games for the players to participate in, this included FPS, MMO, and more. He had chosen four different popular games within Roblox that he had seen in the past, and he had played all of them except for one.

The games that he had chosen to recreate were the popular Murder Mystery, the game about finding who the murderer is before everyone who is innocent is killed. The next was Adopt Me, a popular MMORPG within Roblox for those who preferred something more relaxed instead of violent.

The last two were Arsenal and Natural Disaster Survival, both of them being rather popular with Arsenal being an FPS game while the other was self-explanatory. The four games he recreated are quite different from one another, so that should improve the overall appeal of Roblox to those who decide to play.

As of right now, Raito was completing the finishing touches of Arsenal as he made sure that all the models for the guns were correct and nothing was buggy about them. Soon enough, he was about to release his new and first game.

The thing about this system, the coding of setting up all the necessary functions was much easier compared to normal computer programming and such. Even he, who had no experience at all with coding, was able to easily understand everything. Though, most of it was thanks to the manual he was given.

He had already tested out everything to make sure that it functioned properly, and thankfully, it all went as well as he imagined. The guns functioned properly, the game modes worked perfectly, and everything else as well. He had just been checking the textures and that.

"Alright, it's done... for now!" Raito gave a tired sigh as he stood up from his seated position, as well as placing the gun he was just inspecting down on the ground. Looking at the projected time on the GUI, he widened his eyes. "Geez, I've been in here for over twelve hours! Didn't feel like it..."

Raito could only chuckle a bit when he saw the time, it was literally five in the morning, he had been in this place since last night. He could only imagine how jealous normal game developers would feel if they knew how fast he could make games, the system really was a cheat.

"Alright, let's see here..." Raito muttered as he focused onto the finished button on the GUI. From what he read, this was what he should click when he wanted to publish the game. When he focused on the icon, like usual, a new prompt appeared in front of him.

『Please enter a title for the new game: ???』

『Publish』『Cancel』

Raito obviously inserted the name 'Roblox' into the title before clicking onto the publish button. After having done so, he was a bit surprised when a bunch of new information that started appearing one after another. From the looks of it, he just needed to wait.

『Game title set to: Roblox』

『Determining game price: ¥1,300』

『Generating game promotional video』

『Do you wish to edit the promotional video?』

『Yes』『No』

Raito blinked when he was suddenly given the option, though he quickly clicked onto the 'No' option. He was curious to see what kind of promotional video the system was going to produce, he'd change the video later on in the Game Library if there was anything he wanted to change. From what the manual told him, he could edit the videos whenever he wished.

Aside from that though, he was a bit surprised by the price value that the system placed onto the game. In his old world, Roblox is normally free aside from the in-game purchases. Here, if he remembered correctly, Roblox was only a bit cheaper compared to Minecraft.

『Publishing promotional video...』

『Publishing game...』

『...』

『Publish complete』

『Please see game details in the Game Library』

Raito didn't get to say anything in response before he was suddenly forcefully exited from the place as he instantly found himself once again lying on his bed back in his apartment. In surprise, Raito sat up quickly and held his head as he blinked his eyes a few times.

Looking around, he saw that nothing had changed in his room. Though, when he looked outside of the wall window, he saw that it was indeed the morning as the sun was starting to come up from beyond the horizon. He stared at its beauty for a second before shaking his head and getting up from the bed.

『Mission Complete』

Objective: Create and publish your first ever game [🟢]

Optional Objective: Earn over three-hundred sales of the created game before the end of the month [⚫]

Rewards:

● Ability Card [Amount: 1]

● Stamina Modulation Pill [Optional Objective Reward]

...

『Would you like to complete the mission now?』

『Yes』『No』

Raito clicked the 'No' option as he wanted to see if he could gain that optional objective, despite how curious he was on what that Ability Card thing was. It was either he waited patiently for potentially more rewards, or he could be impatient and just take it now. He was patient, so he'd wait.

Speaking of waiting though, there was around two weeks before the end of the current month. He wasn't sure how appealing Roblox will be to people, so whether or not he could gain over three hundred sales in that small amount of time was not certain.

Even with the promotional video, it would be difficult. The disadvantage that he had compared to other companies when it came to gaining attention was reputation, no one knew of his 'company' so expectations would be neutral. He could only really depend on the video.

Though, we shall see...

『System is now rating the game...』

『Game Rating Sheet』

● Title: Roblox

● Rating: ★★★☆☆

Rewards:

● ¥160,000

...

"Completely forgot about that..." Raito had honestly forgotten all about the rating function within the system. Though, he wasn't going to complain since he literally just got a bunch of money after making the game. Three stars wasn't bad at all for his first ever game! "Maybe I should go out to eat later, yeah I'll do that... after I sleep though."

While he wouldn't at all say that he had financial problems, he certainly wasn't rich. But, with how much money he might be making in the future along with how much he had already just made by making the game allowed him to be a bit more reckless with his money.

He had always been eating at normal restaurants or just cooked for himself since he had a decent level of cooking expertise, but he didn't really go to anywhere extremely expensive. With the money he earnt just now, he could probably go somewhere fancy for once.

He still had that suit he wore ages ago, so he could wear that to a fancy restaurant as to not stand out too much. The suit he had was something he hadn't worn for years, but it was still in great condition due to him having kept it away safe and securely.

The last and only time he wore the thing was when he was invited to a fancy party by one of the caretakers he was really close with, the party was just to celebrate some kind of occasion that he didn't bother remembering as the caretaker that took him along was a relative of one of the people attending.

Though, this was all when he was fourteen, so the suit definitely won't now... Well, shopping it!

'Now that I think about it, I wonder how Miss Hazuki's doing...' Raito couldn't help but think to himself the image of a much older woman with long grey hair popped into his mind. 'I swear she works at a game company or something, I can't remember... Probably should visit her.'

Raito shivered slightly as he remembered the fact that he hadn't visited the woman in over three years now. Hazuki viewed Raito as her 'son', which was completely unofficial as she seemed to adore him for whatever reason. Honestly, she was an overall weird person in general... She was also sensitive about her age, more so than anybody else he ever knew.

Anyway.

'Time to hit the sack!' With that, Raito took off his shirt before jumping back onto his bed and tossing the blanket over himself before getting comfortable as he closed his eyes, quickly entering into the world of dreams that he'd most likely forget all about after five seconds of waking up.

Keita Amano was never a competitive gamer, in fact, he was the complete opposite both in games as well as in the kind of person he was. He preferred to do things to simply enjoy them for what they were, not for any kind of bragging rights or a sense of accomplishment in victory.

This was especially true in games.

He was an avid gamer, and while he wasn't the best, he certainly wasn't the worst either. He had always loved games and had bene playing them for as long as he could remember, and he even played at school whenever he could. Though, his rather distant self due to games made things kind of difficult when it came to socialising with others.

His favourite kind of games were RPG games, let it be modern RPGs or RPGs set in a fantasy world, he didn't mind. All the games in the world had their own charms, but RPGs have always held a special place in his heart. They just really clicked with him.

At this very moment, he was looking through the lists of games on the internet that were released. He was trying to find a new game to play as he had already played tons on the games that he already had, and he wanted to try something else now.

As of right now, none of the games that he saw really caught his eye, most were just games that had quite a number of people who played seriously with the intent of winning. Those games were mostly the FPS games, the more hardcore MMOs and others as well.

"Eh...?" As Keita was scrolling, his finger froze on the scroll wheel as he blinked a couple times. Scrolling up slightly, his gaze rested on a particular game that seemed to stand out compared to the rest. The cover displayed a number of different cartoonish three-dimensional characters, all with their own unique appearances standing together while waving and cheering.

Strangely enough, the characters all varied a bit when it came to body shape as some had full on cube-like body shapes, others who were more realistic in shape. Some had normal looking clothing, and others that looked as if they were going to some cosplay event.

What caught his attention the most was the simple yet strangely endearing logo placed at the centre of the cover, which looked to be tilted red square with another smaller square cut out at the centre. Among the other games, something about it really stood out.

"Roblox...?" Keita repeated that name with a confused yet interested tone. It was a weird name, weirder than a number of other games he had played and heard about in the past. "Oh, it has a trailer! Might as well see what it's about..."

Keita moved his cursor over to the game before clicking on it, and when he did, he was greeted by a page of information that showed things like screenshots of the game, the developer of the game, the download button and more. One the left side was a video, which was obviously the trailer. Curiously, Keita clicked the play button before resting his arms on his desk as he watched.

『Welcome!』

『Prepare to take a step into a world beyond your comprehension. A world full of life and endless possibility where your imagination is the only limit』

『Together with your friends and family alike, come aboard and take journey across the vast sea of possibility that is Roblox! Let it be shooting down your enemies in an intense battle of strategy, tactics, determination and resolve!』

He watched as the scene showed what looked to be a battlefield with multiple blocky individuals who looked to be soldiers, all wielding guns as they were having a shoot out.

『Discovering a psychopathic murderer and eliminating him before the world goes into absolute disarray!』

The scene faded into one that showed three people, one that held a knife and had a dark cruel smirk on their face, another with a gun and what looked to be a golden-star badge, and the other standing in between them cowering in fear.

『Simply living a peaceful life within the game, or even attempting to survive terrifying natural disasters in a competition of intelligence, instincts and bravery!』

There were two other scenes as well, showing a large city with countless people walking around all having fun and talking, some even with pets. The final one was rather strange though, there were a number of people running around trying to escape what looked to be a massive tornado.

『Within this world of endless evolution, the possibility reach beyond this very cosmos. Remember, the only thing limiting you now is your own imagination and willingness to take your first steps into this wondrous world!』

『We hope to see you soon, Robloxian!』

Keita just stared at the screen in silence after hearing everything that was spoken, his mind trying to process everything. It was kind of like your typical game trailer, but there was just something more... appealing about this specific trailer.

The characters were unique and the way that they were animated was incredible, they seemed so life-like despite their cartoony looks and rather strange body shapes. He had honestly never seen a game that looked like this before, both in style and appearance.

From what he saw on the trailer, this game didn't abide to one single genre but a multitude of them. That in itself already made the game stand out in his eyes, the game could be competitive if the player wanted and not depending on what the person wanted to do.

Shaking his head, he looked to the price of the game to see that it wasn't that expensive at all. The game looked very interesting to him, so he might as well give it a shot, right? "Critical Code, I've never heard of them before... might as well give it a try!"

Unknown to him, a certain blonde from his school had also watched the trailer...

----------------------------------------------------

Just like the previous young man, another individual was at their own computer having been scrolling through the list of new games as well. This person here was none other than Shiramine Risa, a veteran and avid online gamer who had won a number of gaming tournaments before in the past.

She wouldn't say that she was the best at video games, quite far from it actually, but she was definitely up there in the ranks. With the number of different games she has played before, it was obvious that she would gain quite a bit of knowledge of what to do when it comes to games.

Right now, she was ecstatic. She had discovered this strange game while browsing through the lists of games, it looked strange, but the trailer made here feel excited. It had only been released around five hours ago, but it had already made its way near the top of the lists of games.

The list that she had been browsing through placed the current most popular and trending games first before the others, and despite the short amount of time that the game had been up, it had already soured quite high up into the list.

After having watched the trailer, she felt quite a lot of excitement building up in her as she immediately bought the game and began its download. She had also been asked to make an account, which was easy enough.

But, when she saw that she could literally customise her character with tons of different accessories from the shop, she had been spending quite a lot of time now doing that while waiting for the download. The items weren't expensive at all, so the amount she paid for the in-game currency, known as Robux, didn't hurt her at all.

The default character was kind... ugh.

She made it so that her character was more humanoid instead of a walking cube person, even though that in itself had its own charms. She had also given her character pretty much the same style hair she had, along with a simple outfit. That being dark blue short-shorts along with a light-blue shirt with white accents. She also gave herself a pair of white tall boots and white wristbands.

Her character didn't look outlandish, just simple and casual. She did see that you could buy things like swords, helmets, and even wings, but she held back against any of that. She didn't want to make her character completely out there, it would be kind of overwhelming.

She also gave her character the name of Sally, which was the name she always used for the games she played.

She was interest in mostly playing all of the things that were shown on the trailer, though maybe not the the peaceful looking one so much. She was more into action, that third one looked more up her friend Kaede's alley than it was herself.

"Maybe I should see if Kaede wants to play..."
