In a deserted and destroyed battlefield full of kunai, shuriken and katanas. 9 giant monsters of different shapes are encircling a group of humans and a floating ghost-like entity.

Yes, this is the battlefield of the 4th great ninja war, the 9 monsters are the tailed chakra beasts separated from the ten-tails, and the floating entity is Hagoromo otsutsuki also known as the sage of six paths.

In a corner, a man wearing a red samurai-style armor with cracks all over hid body is looking at a pale man missing the lower half of his body with a hint of regret in his eyes.

those two are the feared gods of shinobi Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama, the ghost of the Uchiha is on his death-bed once again and and the shodaime(first) hokage's mud body started to fade away, they're having their last conversation as best friends and war-comrades.

Madara: "is that you? hashirama...I guess...neither you...nor i...coud achieve what we wanted"

Hashirama: "it's never that easy".."our job is to do all that we can do while we're alive, and then bequest the rest...for future generations to accomplish"

Madara: "so simplistic...as usual...heh heh...you were always...optimistic..." "but perhaps...that is the correct way" says Madara looking at sasuke, "My dream...was crushed...but yours...is still relevant...and ongoing"

Hashirama: "We were both too hasty. we didn't need to fulfill our dreams ourselves. it was more important to cultivate those who would come after us, to whom we could entrust our dreams."

Madara: "Which means I would've failed anyway...Since I've always hated someone...standing behind me.."

Hashirama: "When we were kids, you once said we're shinobi and we don't know when we'll die." says Hashirama with a smile "And that for neither side to die, we'd both have to reveal what's inside of us and pour each other drinks to toast like brothers" "But we're both about to die. Right now, we can drink together, as war buddies."

Madara: "War buddies.. huh? Well.. I guess.. that's okay...by..."

those were Madara's last words as he felt his consciousness fading away slowly.

'this is it huh? I failed miserably, my pawns betrayed me, my plan failed, and it turned out i was just a marionet in the hands of what i thought was my own will' thinks Madara before passing away'

'Hmm? How is this possible? his soul ceased from existence, is it because of it getting continuously called from the afterlife? Well, it is for the best, he won't be forced back from the dead again' wondered Hogoromo mentally while observing the interaction between Naruto and Kurama.

; VELDORA'S CAVE ;

Madara opens his eyes, he finds himself lying naked in a cave full of crystals glowing in different colors.

He gets up, examines his surroundings once more, and sits down again, he then starts thinking 'what is happening here? I thought i died beside Hashirama. And why the hell am i naked? did that snake bastard revive me and do experiments on me?'

As he was analyzing his situation he resound in his head.

[ding!.. succesfull transmigration of the individual {Madara Uchiha}... counting humans killed by the individual..]

"huh? what is this voice in my head? Is this a Genjutsu? and what does it mean by transmigration? wait, it couldn't be..." thought Madara loudly, he isn't a fool, he wasn't called a once in a thousand years genius for nothing, so he quikly figured out what's going on, it's more of a wishful guess.

He heard the voice when he was dying, it's just that he thought it was nothing but his wishful thinking. "So it was real huh? i already noticed that my emotions are no longer enhanced by my bloodline"

[Calculating completed... individual's kill count is: 1.023.746... Evolution into { DEMON GOD } possible.. does the individual want to evolve?.. ]

'Evolution? Demon god? is this thing trying to tell me that my actions were that horrible that i deserve such a title? And i can't deny it, but it just makes me repent for my actions. Now that my mind is no longer clouded by the Uchiha curse, i can see my wrongdoings. Obito..Nagato.. I'm sorry for making you suffer, i'll make sure to atone for my actions in this world'

But his thoughts were interrupted once again, but this time it was because he sensed a living being in the vicinity, 'maybe i can ask for directions if it's a human' thought Madara while heading towards the chakra signature that he sensed earlier.

once he arrived at his destination, he was shocked for the first time in a while by the sight in front of him.

A round blue translucent being the size of a ball is jumping from crystal to crystal making them disappear as if they never existed. "What in Hashirama's butt is that?" he felt confused but not so much.

"Aaaaah, who is talking there?" heard Madara in his head once again.

"intesting, it seems to be sentient, it seems i won't get bored in this world, but how does it transfer it's thoughts directly into my head? Is this some kind of jutsu?" said Madara out loud

"Ah? Are you a human? I finally met one after wandering fore days in this place, can you please show me out? Oh, and don't worry I'm just a cute harmless slime" said the slime

'Slime? is that it's name? And it seems to be lost as well, anyway i'll just try to get some information out of it'

"i am lost as well, but can you tell me a bit about this place? I'm... kind of a stranger here" asks Madara as polietly as he can so the creature in front of him doesn't run away.

"AH? And here i thought i would be able to finally leave this place" says the slime who's hope has been crushed "A stranger? were you reincarnated as well? well then i'm sorry, but i only have been here for a few days. Nice to meet you by the way, i'm Sotaro Mikami, a former human."

'A former human? so not everyone retains their body after transmigrating' thinks Madara while looking at the creature.

"It doesn't matter, my name's Uchiha Madara also known as the ghost of the Uchiha or the God of shinobi" says Madara with a bit of pride in his name. "And would you mind telling me how you can communicate with me without having a mouth?"

"huh? Great sage says it's by your skill called telepathy, don't know that?" says Sotaro confused by the question.

'Skill? is it that thing the voice was talking about? and great sage? Is he communicating with someone right now? well..Unimportant, i need to confirm something first', " Nevermind, but have you ever heard my name in your previous world?" asks Madara.

"hmm? were you a celebrity or something? not that i ever heard about you"answers the slime

'so my guess was true, we are from different worlds, it seems i need to think about a method f travelling between worlds'thought Madara

"Anyway, do you want to look for an exit together?" asked the slime exitedly

Madara was intially going to decline, as he likes to be alone. But then he thought about his past in which he never tolerated anyone apart from his family and Hashirama. 'it seems i need to change, bad habits die hard but that won't stop me'

"...Alright" answered Madara. They then started wandering aimlessly in the cave.
