4 miss a beat❤️

Months passed and Sarah was going to turn 8 ,I decided to celebrate her birthday for the very first time. I decided to invite all her school friends and neighbourhood friends at home. We decided that we would order pizza, and I will make the cake,cupcakes at home with noodles,barbeque burgers. A day before her bday I went to supermarket and bought everything. That night I prepared the cake and stored it in freezer ,and also did some preparations for the next day. That night the three of us cut a cupcake and I gifted her a knee length dress. Sarah was very happy with her dress. Next day I woke up early and started preparing everything. Kids had their school so after they went to school I decorated the house a little. That evening her birthday was a huge success. Sarah looked like a doll with her braided hair, blue dress with her sandals. Her friends enjoyed a lot . She was very happy and I had tears in my eyes. For the first time I could do something for her. I promised myself that I ll work hard for my kids. I started experimenting with recipes and started writing a blog. I didn't have too much followers but it gave me another level of satisfaction. That may Niomi called me and told me that her boss wanted to meet me regarding a party which their office was having. She asked me if next day would be okay for me, and I gave my affirmation. Next day I reached office,and she took me to another floor which had a class. Everything was super pristine and then she knocked on a wooden door. When we entered I saw the same man who had my cupcake last time I was there. He acknowledged us and told us to sit. He informed me that they were having a huge party on the completion of 25 years of their company and he wanted me to cater that. I told him that it's a huge order and I haven't done anything like that before. He told me that he has faith in me which was quite shocking as this was the first time someone showed so much faith in me. I felt confident and told that I would do it. We discussed about the menu, the presentation, the number and the requirement. He told me that he would give me some advance for the supplies and if I need any more help I can ask him directly. He gave me his personal number and step by step eased all my doubts. I left the office with mixed feelings. This could be my break - I was tensed and ecstatic at the same time. I reached home ,boiled the kettle and took a pen and paper. I decided to hire help as the event is next month. I ll ask for help in the neighborhood. Now may be I can buy everything my children dreamt of. I felt that a power is helping me and guiding me. With a determination I started everything. My husband and I didn't have any incident till the last time. I don't know what changed but now he doesn't bother me. I have to live for my children. May be I can buy dew a Xbox for his bday next month. That day when children came home, I noticed dew had fever. I gave him some soup first then gave him medicine. In the evening I took him to doctor. He had viral fever and the doctor advised him rest. Next days passed by with dew in the bed with high fever and weakness. I started the preparations and found a help. Amy was a married woman with a child. She would come for 3-4 hours to help me and I paid her daily. There was 2 days to event and Niomi called me for follow up. I told her that everything was being prepared and I added a new recipe for cupcakes. She was very encouraging.

And finally the D Day arrived. Company sent a van for the order as it was quite huge. I hadn't slept from last 2 days. I had made 1000 cupcakes, small cakes,100 bowls of lasagna, 500 pastries and buns. I also added flakky rolls from my side which was a new addition.I was nervous for the very first time as it was a huge order. Next day finally I got a call from Niomi. She told me that everyone liked the items. Her boss Mr Andrew had again asked for a meeting and she enquired if Tomorrow would be okay for me. I said yes and the next day I reached the office on time. This time she took me to the office and left. After waiting for 10 mins Mr Andrew asked me inside. He stood up from his chair this time to welcome me. He told me that everyone liked everything. Some of his friends had asked for my number. He also gave me the final check and served me coffee. Out of the blue He asked me that he would like to date me. He told me that he liked me from the first meeting. He told me he was single as he didn't have time in the past to socialize much. I got stunned is an underestimation but don't know why missed a beat in my heart. I told him that I was married and had two children. He was amazed, and asked for an apology. I came back home and told Sarah everything. She was young but still she was my best friend. She nodded and then ended the conversation. That night I received a message from an unknown number.

" Hi!

I am again very sorry for today. I didn't know that you were married and had kids. Do you have a girl?"

I replied that I have two kids, one is a girl named Sarah and a boy named dew. Sarah is 8 and dew is going to be 6 this month. To make him at ease I finally gathered the courage to invite him to Dew's bday. I knew his intentions were not wrong.

He replied that he would love to be a part of the celebration. I told him that it's not on a very big scale it's just some kids.

He replied with a smile and wished me GN.

Next day I told Sarah about the chat and she told me it's good that I invited Me Andrew.

On Dew' bday I made his favourite - burgers,french fries, rolls and fruit salad. Mr Andrew arrived on time with a huge gift.

Lovingly he wished dew a very happy birthday,gave him his gift which was a automatic car. Dew bounced in excitement. He also shook hands with Sarah and told her that she is really cute. He participated in every game and felt at ease. He didn't show that it's just a child party. When he left he shook my hand and left. Later that night Sarah told me something unexpected. She asked me to move in in my life. "Mom you also have a life outside of me and dew. That man who is our so called father was never there for us or for you. He even doesn't realise that we are his children. He only loves his alcohol. You need go give Andrew a chance. I like him,even after knowing that you have us he came today. He participated in every movement. He is a nice guy and you need to live for yourself."
