12 He is there for us!!!

As the hearing date was approaching I was getting more and more possessive towards dew and Sarah. One day they broke a vase when they were arguing, and I reacted very loudly. I scolded them very loudly that they could ve been hurt. That night at dinner, Andrew noticed the tension at dinner table and asked the children about the matter. First they didn't speak but when he coaxed them more dew told him everything. He just told them to be more careful in the future and them he changed the topic and tried to lighten the mood. Later in the room, he told me that sometimes it's okay to be scared and then showing it to them, as it doesn't mean that i have failed but it shows the children that we love them a lot that's why we acted a certain way. He promised that everything is going to be fine. Next day we got some news that made us stunned. A call from Tom told us that the case had been withdrawn as my husband met with an accident and died on the spot earlier in the morning. And his lawyer automatically withdrew the case as he already knew Andrew and Tom very well. I thanked the God that he again showed me that he is always there for me. I realized sometimes storms come but just to make us much more stronger. In the last month we bonded so much more and realized the importance of each other. That night to celebrate I invited everyone for dinner. I made corn salad with red pasta and lasagna. I also made barbeque sauce for burgers which the boys were grilling outside in the patio. I made flavoured pastries for dessert. Everyone talked,laughed and then we played a game. All the aunt's and Debbie also joined us. Everyone had fun that night. After bidding farewell to everyone we came back to tidy up the kitchen. Andrew helped me and it was already 1:30 when we cuddled and slept. After two days I got a call from dew's school that he got injured while practicing and had been taken to the hospital. I immediately panicked and called Andrew. He told me that he ll meet me directly at the hospital. When I reached there, Andrew was waiting for me. He holded my hand and we ran to the floor . Doctor told us that dew had broken his right ankle and he is under surgery right now. We waited and prayed and Andrew called bailey and Debbie in the meanwhile. Doctor came back after an hour and told us that the surgery went well and dew has been shifted to ward. We ran there , and there he was - My baby, my charm with plaster all over his leg. He was asleep but my tears were unstoppable. Bailey and Debbie arrived with coffee and hugged us. Andrew sat with dew while they took me to canteen for coffee . I knew Andrew must be having tough time as it's all new for him. So after coffee I rushed back to my boys and what I saw just broke my heart. Andrew was holding dew's hand and he was crying silently. I hugged him from the back and told him that dew is going to be fine. He told me that he loves us a lot and can't live without us. I told him ditto. He smiled and we sat down and waited. In the evening we went home and Sarah was waiting for us. Mrs Hudson had told her what had happened and she started crying when she saw us. We both hugged her side-by-side and pacified her. Next day we took her to the hospital to meet dew. He was awake but was in pain. Andrew had bought some comics, table games and a new hand video game for him. And he immediately got busy with his stuff. We sat with him and read . Next day we brought him home and Andrew took him to his room. I made his favourite french fries.His friends visited him and brought his homework. All the cousins and children visited and spent time with him. They even brought his favourite candies and chocolates. He was grinning from ear to ear. He still had pain when he tried to rotate his ankle but otherwise he was acting brave .. Christmas was approaching and it was my first Christmas with the family so I called bailey to ask her about the tradition. she told me that every year they all go to uncle's resort for Christmas. There everyone together makes food and open presents in the morning. She told me about everyone's likes and dislikes. So I started with a list of presentd and showed it to Andrew at night. He was happy that I was getting along with his family really well . we added more presents in the list for Amy and Mrs Hudson and for Andrew's driver. We thought and debated about children's presents as usual Andrew wanted something big and extravagant for them as now they are his and it's their first Christmas so we decided on a diamond bracelet for Sarah and a cycle for dew. I didn't told him about his present and he didn't told me about mine. I decided to surprise him with a vacation and that too from my savings. So I started working really hard to buy that present for him. Once I took 3 orders for a week and it became quite hectic. Everyone always likes my work and it's all the grapevine that was getting me that much business. Iworked and worked and Andrew even told me to take it light as I didn't have time for him and the children. I finally got the required amount to buy the trip. I worked on my blog and learnt some new recipes. I also did some research about the flavours. And then came the snow and the month of magic..
