13 Christmas- the time of magic and love

Excessive cold came with the snow and everything became magical. The preparations started for the Christ decided to go for present shopping as it's going to take a lot of time. First we went for jewellery shopping,and bought that diamond bracelet for Sarah. We bought pairs of diamond earrings for bailey and a Rado watch for Debbie. For other girls we bought yellow gold diamond studs. For boys we bought plated cuff links. For aunt's and uncles we decided to go for pendants and iPads. I already had my gift for Andrew but I was curious to know about my gift. We also bought some clothes, and other necessities. Sarah and dew also bought each other gifts. Sarah bought a board game for dew and he bought a dress for Sarah. We also played some games with kids. We came late that night. Next day I got two orders for the week. It was for a lunch party and for a baby shower. The couple who was having baby wanted something different. So they told me about a theme. And I decided to have a office in the home. So I called Bailey for suggestions and she gave me fabulous ideas. I talked to Andrew that night about the office. He told me that he ll talk to the decorator. So next day the decorator visited and started the work. And I started working on my orders. In the meanwhile I had found wholesale shops for materials, decorations and utensils. So I went shopping and bought whole lot. I decided to do blue cake for the baby shower and colourful cupcakes to go with it. I decided to do some cookies also that ll be given as the return gift. I decided to make pouches of cookies. So I started the work with the help of Mrs Hudson. It was as usual a lot of work. Children were busy in their assignments but nevertheless they helped me in baking . We baked many batches and then packed it. We decorated the packs with cute little blue booties. I was busy with my work and didn't notice that Andrew was behaving very differently. He brought me a simple ring for good luck and then the next day it vanished from the bathroom. When I told Andrew he told me to forget about the matter as may be dew took it to use it. That was awkward as he didn't called dew to bring it back. I was busy so I didn't paid any attention to the incident. We were travelling first time by the plane so children were very excited. They asked me many questions and I worked on little details for them. I packed toffees and ear plugs for them so that they don't get headache while being in air. I packed extra warm clothes for all of us. Tops,jeans,jackets and a formal dress for the Christmas lunch. I also packed socks, shoes and flats. Then I packed undergarments and lingerie. After finishing the packing I collected gifts at one place. We were going 3 days before Christmas to spend quality time.. And decided to give Mrs Hudson present to her. She became very happy on seeing the gift as this was the first time she got something on Christmas. Her children were abroad and rarely visited her. Her husband was bed ridden so she didn't have anyone. Next day early morning we left for airport, while sitting in the car we gave Willy his gift. He was like a family as he was Andrew's driver from many years. He also smiled and thanked Andrew for the gift. Children became ecstatic on seeing the airplane and Andrew joined them. He clicked their photos everywhere at the airport. After boarding when we were waiting in the lounge, children demanded something to drink so Andrew took them. And I realised that this is the first Christmas we are celebrating happily otherwise every Christmas i had to make choices between gifts or groceries. I couldn't afford both. This year has truly been magical for me- magical and lovable. They returned with a coffee for me. Andrew kissed me and sat down near me. He clicked a picture of me and applied it as his wallpaper. I noticed he was becoming extra possessive towards me. He wanted to buy me everything whether it wass usable for me or not, he started holding my hand everywhere. We boarded the plane and landed in the evening. Uncle had sent his car for us and it was dinner time when we reached the resort. We had lunch in the plane itself so the children were very hungry. Uncle had prepared family rooms for every family. And when Andrew opened the room,the view was spectacular. There was glass windows everywhere which were showing the beach and the greenery. There was a jacuzzi in the bathroom. And there was a separate queen size bed for children. The walls were panneled and had cozy effect. I just loved the room as I had never seen anything this beautiful. After we got freshened up we went for dinner with aunt and uncle. Everybody else was arriving tomorrow morning. We chatted,laughed and danced. Then the next morning when I woke up and saw the view I realised it was picturesque. It was so soothing and relaxing that I just decided to sit in the balcony for some time . I could see the water below and trees were everywhere. I didn't realize the time and when Andrew kissed me I got out of my reverie. We just sat there curdling each other on the sofa. Children woke up and we decided to go for breakfast. After breakfast ally arrived with her family first. Then everyone started arriving and it became so homely - some were eating, some were relaxing, boys were having drinks. Children were busy in the games room. Debbie and me were having a chat when aunt announced that they have planned some games for couples. First ll be the paper dancing so everyone stood up and went to the floor and then the game started. Tom and his girlfriend won the game. Then game the treasure hunt for couples. She told us that there are some clues all around the resort ,we have to find it and the one who ll win the hunt will be the winner. I noticed that only we were excited and everyone else was just smiling to each other. I found it weird but decided to drop it. So the hunt started and everybody moved, we found the first clue much before anyone else so we proceeded. After one hour we were the winners. Aunt told us that the prize ll be given tomorrow. The day passed and the next day the day was a little warm so we decided to go for a swim. We all swam, ate and had fun. Men decided to cook that day so went for manicure and pedicure. It was fun as aunt's and girls were very bossy over their husbands and I enjoyed their chemistry. That night aunt told us that me and Andrew have won a dinner date on the terrace. So she told us to get dressed and be there at 8. I left the kids with bailey and Debbie and they were okay with it. They both were smiling and even hugged me before leaving. so I went to my room and got dressed. I wore a turtle neck sweater with denims and shoes. We both went to the terrace and what I saw brought tears to my eyes. The whole terrace was lit with twinkling lights and there was a table in the centre with candles all around it. Andrew took me to it and we sat down. We had our dinner and then came the dessert. It was a chocolate lava cake. Andrew told me that he doesn't want to have anything as he is full which was weird because lava cake was his favourite. So I took the bite and noticed that there was something in my mouth. I put it out and realized it was a ring. My heart skipped a beat and I saw Andrew was on his knee-

Time passed and you decided to give me a chance and that was the luckiest day of my life. You and the children are my everything - my sunshine, my strength, my weakness and my love. You are the most brave,beautiful,caring and the loving person of this world. Every day I realize this that I am so lucky to have you in my life. Hailey I love you and I love our children. Would you give me a chance to prove it that I ll be there for u always. Would you marry me??""

I was speechless and teary eyed so I just nodded and he slipped the ring onto my left finger and told me that it was my Christmas gift from him.We kissed each other hungrily and then he sat down. He was smiling like a cat. And I realized that the ring was a perfect fit and then it clicked. That good luck ring and that treasure hunt was just a facade and when I asked Andrew he just nodded. We came down and I found everyone in the sitting room waiting for us. Andrew nodded yes and they all started shouting congratulations and hugged us. Debbie was crying while she was hugging me. We found the children in t.v room and told them the news. They both hugged Andrew together. The next day was Christmas so in the morning after hot chocolate we opened our gifts. I was stunned as everyone was so thoughtful and had bought me beautiful gifts. I got a necklace with ring and earrings from girls. Aunt's and uncles gave us similar photo frames of our photos in it. Finally I gave my gift to Andrew - a vacation to Bali. He smiled and hugged me and told me in the ear that we ll go there for our honeymoon.

Lunch was just splendid. We were on the terrace with a long table full of food. Everyone was having fun and I found that having a family and that too this much loving is a blessing. "Truly a blessing".

Last year i didn't have any identity, didnt have enough for my children,I was in a marriage that was just namesake and i was a simple homemaker. In the past few months everything changed and now it's all unbelievable. Thanku God for everything!!
