"hahaha" Shon laughed out loud while putting his palm on his forehead.

`oh, to think I can even laugh about this, well this is crazy but I can't do anything about it. Let's just make sure to not get stabbed anymore because it hurts badly… I'm surprised I haven't fainted yet… maybe my coming to this world affected my mentality…`

`ehm? Wait, I don't feel the pain anymore and my dizziness is gone… Is it one of those stories where leveling up heals you completely? huh, even status effects it seems.. I guess it's good since it's convenient`

Shon checked his body and saw that his bleeding stomach wound was gone, he set his sight to the corner of his view again

Another footstep sounded and Shon was startled. He ran to hide behind a tree in the opposite direction of the sound. The sound was pretty soft even though it was still loud. Almost as if something wanted him to notice but Shon didn't realize it…

The sound came from beyond the cliff edge, and after getting behind the tree Shon lowered his stature to a crawl. He peeked beyond the tree thinking to himself that he's too slow and if the thing was a little quicker and had long-range attack he'd probably be dead already.

What he saw was a giant azure-colored curved thing with the edges of what seems to be four blue eyes going upwards. It wasn't too slow but wasn't too fast either.

When the thing stopped moving Shon saw those four eyes staring at him.

Shon was a little anxious, he saw from the creature's eyes that it looked peaceful and kind but he couldn't be sure of it. Well at least its eyes weren't ominous he thought to himself.

The creature kept staring for a few moments before Shon heard

{Hello little guy, why are you here?}

"huh?"

`is it this thing that's talking to me?` Shon diverted his eyes for a second to think and looked back again at the creature.

{Yes it's me who's talking to you little guy. You look kind of lost. How did you get here?}

Shon's eyes went wide, he wasn't sure what to think.

`Aren't speaking animal-looking creatures supposed to appear later in novels? What the hell is going on?`

`Wait that's not important, did it read my mind? That's also not important, I should probably reply to it to not make it angry`

"Ah yes, I'm not sure where I am, I woke up near here and heard loud sounds and wanted to know where they came from. Wait, can you even understand me? Have you heard what I thought before?" Shon said while looking kinda awkward

{Yes, I understand, when your attention is directed at me and you intend to convey something I can interpret it, you don't even need to make sounds, but those thoughts you didn't try to convey I couldn't read}

`That's an amazing ability…` Shon thought.

{Anyway, little critter, you are in my territory, it's moderately safe here for a critter like you but I don't really like visitors so you should probably go somewhere else soon. It's good you got rid of the other critter for me. I'll let you stay here a few more days if you get rid of the rest of them. This critter is one of those annoying carnivores, I don't want them to get near my territory… I don't mind if you get rid of the others too}

`Oh, I understand, let's try to send my thoughts to him`

Shon stared intently at the creature and said in his mind

`Carnivores? Then that means you are an herbivore? I'm sorry if I bring up sad memories but how could you survive with carnivores so strong nearby, I mean there were probably some strong carnivores near you in the past…`

The creature's face creased a little but Shon thought it looks like a smile even though he couldn't see the creature's mouth.

{Little guy, I was born big and though, even at level 1 I could get rid of some of those annoying carnivores with a stomp. I get exp slowly with just eating so let's call it luck and evolution}

`Huh, there was such a thing? Being vegetarian in this world seems tough though, even if he makes it look easy`

`I should ask him whether he sees his stats too since he seems intelligent…

Wait, he said "since level 1". That means it can tell its level too, I should ask for his help`

`I'm sorry to bother you again but could you please tell me if you can see stats on the bottom left side of your view? It isn't my original world and I have no idea what is going on here`

{well I don't really have something better to do so sure, I'll help you. Yes, I see the things you called stats. After I gained thoughts I started seeing them too. If you want to see them fully you should concentrate and think about 'Status'}

`oh that's pretty generic, c'mon whoever decides things for this world, couldn't you name it something better?` Shon dissed In his mind.

`Thank you senior for your help, I'll remember it and try to help you clear this place in these few days`

Since he's going to be nearby a few more days Shon decided to keep some questions for later. Getting on the nerves of a creature that can stomp him to death would probably be a bad idea.

{Ok little critter, you have my permission, I'll go on my way then}

The creature started loudly stomping its way to a nearby tree and soon after stopped and its huge body turned a little.

{I just remembered something, I saw some critters that looked probably like you a couple of months ago. They don't seem to make the same sounds like you but anyway they went westward. Oh yes, they were all stronger than you so keep it in mind before you meet them}

`Thank you very much for your help senior!` Shon conveyed to the creature and it, in turn, started marching on its way again.

Shon thought to himself `where the hell would you get this kind of experience on earth. it's just my first day here and it's already too weird to digest, I just had a conversation with a thing that looks like an azure four-eyed Brachiosaurus thing. That's just too weird`

Shon laughed a little and thought `I should probably visit those he told me about in the future. It will be too good to be true If they were my kind and civilized, I should be wary, it's not every day you get to meet huge herbivores, maybe when I'll leave here I'll meet a big carnivore`

`Oh no, I just raised a death flag..`

`Well anyway, Status` Shon thought while forgetting to ask the most important question, 'since when did the creature know he was there?' and what would have had happened if he had stumbled on a carnivore not knowing others can sense him nearby. well, he'll find that out soon enough, probably...
