Two dimensional love

Kat let out a breath of relieve, she decided to continue running to make sure she puts enough distance between them. nothing in world could have prepared kat for what was about to happen. Just as she turned her gaze forward, she was greated with the most frightening sight, the old woman stood just two steps away from her. "Jesus Christ!!!" kat screamed. Her voice echoes through the woods, causing, the birds that nested on the nearest trees to fly away as the sound of the birds filled the sorrowing ------------- "How did she...?" my mind struggled to process anything. But before I could react, the old lady blocked my path with an unsettling smile on her face, sending panic coursing through me. Despite my desperate attempts to flee, it was as if the old lady possessed some dark and mysterious power that held me captive. With each passing moment, the sense of dread grew stronger, and I found myself scrambling to escape her clutches. In my frantic attempt to get away, I stumbled and fell hard on my bottom, the impact jolting through me. As I struggled to regain my footing, she stood a few steps away from me, but it felt like she loomed over me, a menacing gleam in her eyes. Desperation welled up within me. I couldn't comprehend anything, my heart pounding drastically in my chest. "Don't come any closer! Stay away from me!" I shouted in panic. ----------- As the old lady moved closer, Kat felt a wave of dizziness wash over her, causing her to sway unsteadily on the ground. She tried to push herself up, but her strength failed her, and she collapsed back down, her vision growing even more distorted. ------------ Through my blurry sight, I could see the old lady morphing and changing before my eyes. The wrinkled face and hunched figure transformed into that of a tall, ethereal woman with radiant beauty. She now glowed like the sun in the dark woods, casting a warm light over me. As the figure approached, I strained to make out her features, my mind struggling to comprehend the transformation before me. I managed to muster the strength to speak, my voice barely a whisper as I gazed up at the transformed figure before me. With a mix of fear and curiosity in my voice, I rasped, "Who are you?" The words escaped my lips almost involuntarily, a question born out of confusion and desperation as I struggled to make sense of the surreal situation unfolding before me. "What is going on? I feel so dizzy. What are you doing to me?" I weakly asked the transformed her once again, "Who are you?". She responded enigmatically, "You would know soon enough, my dear." Despite my distorted state, I could hear her voice clearly; it sounded nothing like the old raspy voice she portrayed earlier. It was sweet and smooth, her tone elegant, sounding like a melody used to lure children to sleep. The cryptic reply sent more questions my way, leaving me with more questions than answers. Undeterred, I pressed on with another question, my voice trembling with fear and anticipation, "What do you want from me?" The old lady's response was equally unsettling, "You. It will all begin to make sense to you when the time comes." With those ominous words hanging in the air, I felt a wave of dread wash over me as I realized that my fate was inextricably linked to this mysterious figure before me. And as darkness closed in around me, I could only pray that I would soon understand the truth behind her cryptic words. 'I remember this feeling, the feeling of being powerless and helpless, not being able to do anything, just like the night my mother and Nathan burned in front of my eyes. I couldn't do anything.' "Mum, Nathan, I will meet you both soon. I love you,"I whispered to myself, ready to reunite with my family. Tears streamed down my eyes, surprising me in the brief moment. 'I hadn't cried since the time I was separated from you two. Now I shall cry when I reunite with you both,' more tears welled up in my eyes as I spoke. **** disclaimer: cover not mine.

Lost memories part- 1

As the tension hung thick in the air, I found myself locking eyes with the older man, as if an unspoken understanding passed between us. The butler, with a calm and steady voice, addressed both the guards and Harrington. "What is the meaning of this commotion?" His tone carried authority, causing the guards to hesitate in their advance. Harrington, bowed his head to the butler. And pointed towards Kat, accusing, "She is a witch! She attacked us!!"

The butler's gaze flickered briefly over me, assessing the situation before responding. "This is a serious accusation, Lord Harrington. are you sure of your claims?." His words were measured, yet there was an underlying tension in the air.

-------------

"Wait wait wait a minute, where you dropped on your head has a child?" I asked turning my gaze to Herrington irritatively, besides I don't see What is so serious about it? Except this man as a really bad mental issue and needs to be checked up" I spoke irritation evident in my voice. The butlers came to meet mine. He bowed his hand coming to be placed In front of his chest "my apologies miss..?" "Katherine young, preferably just Kat would do "

"Miss Kat, I apologize for any inconvenience, you might have had to go through" he spoke politely his tone calm and well I directed.

My one angry tempered calmed down a bit, until the foolish man choose to speak again.

"Inconvenience!!!. This which attacked us and you are apologizing to her!!!, For our safety we should have her looked up!!". Herrington shouted his voice raging with anger.

" Will you just shout it!. Firstly, I am not a witch! And I only demand to know how I ended up here and why am I being accused?, and that too of something so unreasonably stupid." My tone boiled with frustration and annoyance. " would you just stop repeating the same nonsense over and over again!!" I exclaimed utterly annoyed.

"Do you think we are fools? How do you explain the weapon you used to attack us and the spell you cast on the guard?" Harrington exclaimed, pointing at me.

"Weapon?..." I mouthed, now feeling tempted to beat this man into a pulp. It had been a long time since I ever felt so angered by somebody.

"You seem to want that finger, of yours broken as you keep pointing it at me" I threatened and he told back his finger, glaring at me.

"Firstly My phone is not a weapon, and secondly, I didn't cast a spell, it's pepper spray damn it, which I would have had to use if you people hadn't accused me and attacked me," I responded, rubbing my temples, trying not to loose it. I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. Taking my phone out of my pocket. I stretched out my phone to him. "Here, check it" I said.

------------

Harrington was frightened by the sight of the device, thinking that she wouldn't attack him in public as she would only be incriminating herself, He slowly walked forward with every step he took weary of Kat. His hands shook slightly as he took the phone. Suddenly, he screamed, the phone flew out of his hands, and he staggered back, falling on his buttocks.

"My phone!" Kat exclaimed, panic erupting on her face, thankfully before it hit the ground, the butler swiftly caught it. Having no idea how the butler did that. Kat turned to Harrington. "That's it I have had it with, I will beat you up until your body parts can't function anymore." Harrington looked up to her, the look in his eyes almost deranged as he turned to the butler. "She has trapped me and everyone else in the box, I saw it!"

Kat who was getting ready to beat the man up stopped in her tracks, Both the butler and kat stared at him. The butler took a look at Kat's phone and seeing the picture of Harrington and the crowd Kat had accidentally took. A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes before it shuffled back to his plain poker face expression "What is this?" he asked, turning to look at me. "A phone," Kat replied. " And what may I ask it is used for?," " umm a lot of things, but its mainly for communication I guess" " I see" the butler muttered

---------

My gaze shifted to Harrington, who had now gotten up, dusting his clothes. ' the man truly was a coward ' I thought to myself.

The butler, intrigued by my phone, accessed it for a moment and then gave it back to me. "Thank you," I said, and he bowed slightly, replying, "My pleasure, young miss." His ever so polite tone made my temper settle.

He turned to Harrington and then said, "It's alright, you can excuse yourself. I will handle it, Mr. Harrington," he said politely and bowed to the man, his right hand coming to rest on his chest as he had done before.

Harrington, however, remained defiant. "This woman is dangerous! She must be apprehended at once!" His voice trembled with indignation, but beneath the bravado, fear lingered around.

The butler's gaze softened slightly as he regarded me. "We will get to the bottom of whatever it is that has transpired," he assured, before turning to the guards. "Stand down for now. We will conduct a thorough investigation. you may all leave."

Harrington scoffed. "I'm telling you she's a witch. You should burn her while you have the chance now," he said before storming off.

Reluctantly, the guards left, still eyeing me warily. "And for the rest of you, you may all get back to your duties," he said, his tone strict, I saw saw a few people who were from the earlier crowd emerge from hiding, the all scramble, going in different directions.

The butler motioned for me to follow. "Come with me," he instructed. As we walked through the ornate halls of the castle, his composed demeanor never faltered. his steps purposeful and measured.

------------

The sunlight from the large windows cast a warm glow along the walls, there were massive oil paintings on the side of the walls.

Kat kept her guard up and kept her eyes locked on the butler, though she didn't feel the need to be so uptight around him, she wasn't still going to risk it. " Umm, where are we going Mr....? She trailed.

"Sabastian" he replied, Kat responded with a hum nodding her head "shall I ask where it is you are taking me?" Kat asked before turning her head to the side, she spotted a painting, in the painting, was a woman, she carried a baby, her gaze fixed on the child, will a gentle smile, her Ruby like eyes sparkled like gems, she looked elegant and beautiful. As Kat observed the painting she thought to herself why such a beautiful paint would be kept in this somewhat secluded part of the castle.

She snapped out her toughest when she heard the butler speak "somewhere more private" he turned his head slightly and noticed the girl staring at the painting "it a painting of the king and his mother" he said 'then it makes no sense for it to be kept here' Kat thought to herself "oh I see. she's beautiful" Kat whispered .

Kat was now sure she was nowhere close to home anymore.

Eventually, they arrived at a heavy wooden door adorned with intricate carvings. The butler paused, turning to kat with a slight nod before pushing the door open, revealing a lavish study room bathed in warm, flickering candlelight.

--------------

Stepping inside, I couldn't help but be awed by the opulence of the surroundings. Bookshelves lined the walls, filled with leather-bound tomes and ancient-looking scrolls. A grand mahogany desk sat at the center of the room, its surface cluttered with parchment and quills. The air was heavy with the scent of old books and polished wood.

Sabastian gestured for me to take a seat in one of the plush armchairs positioned in front of the desk. As I settled into the seat, he moved behind the desk.

"Now, let us get to the bottom of this," the butler began, "I must apologize for the chaos you had been subjected to. It seems there has been a grave misunderstanding and a lot of confusion."

I nodded, my gaze meeting his as I waited for him to continue.

"It is clear that you are not from our world, yet you find yourself here in Davorin," he continued, his brow furrowing slightly. "Tell me, how did you come to be in our kingdom?"

"Wait, what do you mean world..? " I ask raising a eyebrow.

"Yes, you do not seem to be of this world, if you have noticed," he responded, both his elbows coming to rest on the desk in front of him, and his chin resting on his folded hands.

"Okay okay. Let me get this straight, so what you are telling me is that I have transported to some kind of different dimension or timeline?" I laughed, still not getting the joke, but his face showed no hint of joking.

"That is only my theory, though, and an investigation will take place," he said ,his face still showed no hint of laughter.

I cleared my throat "you are serious..?" panic starting to rise in my voice

"Yes miss Kat"

"What am I goanna do!? how an I going get home!? I mean where is home exactly!? would I die here!? Am I dreaming!!?" I couldn't catch my breath to talk as question after question kept arising in my head as I panicked. "Miss Kat" his voice cut through my question "please calm down" I paused for a moment my gaze meeting the his composed "well that's easy for you to say, you not the one who woke up in another dimension for all I know, and was accused of being a witch and wanted to burn you alive! Do not tell me to call down!!"

Sabastian: "...."

-------------

Panic shook Kat as she passed around the room, " deep breaths miss Kat " the butler encouraged Kat followed is instruction taking a deep breath, and she did feel better and calm down a bit " "please take your sit" he gestured towards the sit.

Taking her sit, Kat's gaze turned serious "how do I get back home?" She asked

" For now I do not know that, but first I have to know how you got here "

"Please tell me, how did you come to be in our kingdom?" He questioned

"I thought someone here must have been the one to do so" she responded.

"I can assure you no one here did so "Sabastian assured "what can you remember from the day before, any strange or unusual? " He pressed on.

Kat took a deep breath, trying to piece together the fragments of memory that flitted through her mind. "I... I'm not sure," she admitted, frustration lacing my tone. "The last thing I remember is walking through a Woods, to get to my family's lake house, and then... nothing. It's all a blur."

The butler's had a look of understanding. "I see," he murmured thoughtfully. "It appears that you have been brought here by forces beyond your control. But fear not, we will do everything in our power to assist you in uncovering how you had gotten here."

------------

Still confused, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope at his reassuring words. Perhaps, he could get me home.

"But first," the butler continued, his expression growing serious once more, "we must address the accusations that have been leveled against you. Lord Harrington's claims of witchcraft cannot be ignored, regardless of their validity."

I really didn't have much to say about the crazy man, so I nodded, steeling myself for the confrontation that lay ahead, "I'm not a witch, do witches exist here?," I asked. The butler noded, my eye's narrowed slightly "like actual witches that cast spells, band fly around on broom sticks...?" I asked finding my own question to be funny somehow.

"Yes indeed they do exist, do they not in your world?" I chuckled lightly at his question "I guess a few people believed in such things, but they don't exist in my word, they are simply just a myth and nothing more" I laughed.

---------------

As Kat reasoned again with the butler that her memories were fragmented and unclear, he regarded her. Without a word, he turned to a small side table adorned with delicate porcelain teacups and a steaming pot of fragrant tea. Pouring a cup, he extended it towards Kat with a polite smile.

"Perhaps a cup of tea might help soothe your nerves and clear your mind," he suggested softly.

Kat hesitated for a moment, her instincts urging caution. "Thank you, but I'll pass," she replied politely, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "I appreciate the offer, but I don't think I can trust you just yet. I know nothing about you."

The butler's smile widened slightly at her candid response, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Fair enough," he conceded, setting the cup down on the table. "I assure you, I mean you no harm. But I understand your caution."

Despite his reassurances, Kat remained cautious, her guard still firmly in place. However, as if on cue, her stomach betrayed her with a loud rumble, causing a flush of embarrassment. Now that she thought about it she hadn't had anything to eat since she had left with Hanna, she was so caught up in the thing going on around her she didn't realize how hungry she was but the second she saw the tae she was reminded.

The butler's smile turned warm , Kat didn't know he could smile like that , so far she mostly saw his poker face expression "It seems your body disagrees," he remarked lightly. "Perhaps a small sip wouldn't hurt."

Reluctantly, she accepted the cup, the warmth seeping through her fingers as she brought it to my lips. The fragrant aroma enveloped her nostrils. With a hesitant sip, she savored the comforting warmth .

To Kat's surprise, the tea was delicious, its subtle flavors dancing on her tongue. Despite her initial reservations, Kat found herself relaxing slightly in the butler's presence, his calming demeanor putting her at ease.

Taking another sip of the fragrant tea, she commented on its flavor. "The tea is exquisite," she remarked, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. "What type is it?"

"It's a blend of Darjeeling and green tea, imported from the eastern provinces," he explained. "A personal favorite of mine."

She nodded appreciatively, admitting that I had never heard of such a combination.

------------

Before I could dwell further on the topic, the butler rose from his seat. "Allow me to fetch you some biscuits to accompany your tea," he offered, his voice gentle yet insistent.

I hesitated, not wanting to impose on his hospitality. "Oh, no, please don't trouble yourself," I protested politely. But the butler waved away my concerns with a reassuring smile.

"Nonsense, it's no trouble at all," he insisted, "Try to relax and try to regain whatever memories you can while I'm gone."

With that, he left the room, the door closing softly behind him. Alone in the quiet study, I closed my eyes and allowed myself to relax, the warmth of the tea soothing my frayed nerves.

And then, just as I began to drift into a state of calm, a memory flashed through my mind like a bolt of lightning. The image of an old woman, her face lined with age, filled my thoughts. Her voice echoed in my mind, whispering cryptic words that sent shivers down my spine.

Suddenly, I was filled with a sense of urgency, a need to uncover the truth behind what had happened that night. Determined, I resolved to delve deeper into my mind. Taking deep breaths.

As the memory unfolded before me, i felt my hands go cold, the details crystal clear in my mind. I remembered the sensation of running through the dark woods, the sound of my own ragged breaths echoing in my ears while I ran after. meeting the terrifying old lady

Everything started coming back to me. The sudden dizziness and, the old woman had transformed before my eyes. her form elongating and glowing with an ethereal light that bathed the woods in a soft, golden glow.

Me questioning her and how she approached, her presence overwhelming me like a tidal wave. Her last words that now lingered in my head 'until we meet again Katharina '. the darkness closed in around me, I had succumbed to unconsciousness.
