Two dimensional love

Kat let out a breath of relieve, she decided to continue running to make sure she puts enough distance between them. nothing in world could have prepared kat for what was about to happen. Just as she turned her gaze forward, she was greated with the most frightening sight, the old woman stood just two steps away from her. "Jesus Christ!!!" kat screamed. Her voice echoes through the woods, causing, the birds that nested on the nearest trees to fly away as the sound of the birds filled the sorrowing ------------- "How did she...?" my mind struggled to process anything. But before I could react, the old lady blocked my path with an unsettling smile on her face, sending panic coursing through me. Despite my desperate attempts to flee, it was as if the old lady possessed some dark and mysterious power that held me captive. With each passing moment, the sense of dread grew stronger, and I found myself scrambling to escape her clutches. In my frantic attempt to get away, I stumbled and fell hard on my bottom, the impact jolting through me. As I struggled to regain my footing, she stood a few steps away from me, but it felt like she loomed over me, a menacing gleam in her eyes. Desperation welled up within me. I couldn't comprehend anything, my heart pounding drastically in my chest. "Don't come any closer! Stay away from me!" I shouted in panic. ----------- As the old lady moved closer, Kat felt a wave of dizziness wash over her, causing her to sway unsteadily on the ground. She tried to push herself up, but her strength failed her, and she collapsed back down, her vision growing even more distorted. ------------ Through my blurry sight, I could see the old lady morphing and changing before my eyes. The wrinkled face and hunched figure transformed into that of a tall, ethereal woman with radiant beauty. She now glowed like the sun in the dark woods, casting a warm light over me. As the figure approached, I strained to make out her features, my mind struggling to comprehend the transformation before me. I managed to muster the strength to speak, my voice barely a whisper as I gazed up at the transformed figure before me. With a mix of fear and curiosity in my voice, I rasped, "Who are you?" The words escaped my lips almost involuntarily, a question born out of confusion and desperation as I struggled to make sense of the surreal situation unfolding before me. "What is going on? I feel so dizzy. What are you doing to me?" I weakly asked the transformed her once again, "Who are you?". She responded enigmatically, "You would know soon enough, my dear." Despite my distorted state, I could hear her voice clearly; it sounded nothing like the old raspy voice she portrayed earlier. It was sweet and smooth, her tone elegant, sounding like a melody used to lure children to sleep. The cryptic reply sent more questions my way, leaving me with more questions than answers. Undeterred, I pressed on with another question, my voice trembling with fear and anticipation, "What do you want from me?" The old lady's response was equally unsettling, "You. It will all begin to make sense to you when the time comes." With those ominous words hanging in the air, I felt a wave of dread wash over me as I realized that my fate was inextricably linked to this mysterious figure before me. And as darkness closed in around me, I could only pray that I would soon understand the truth behind her cryptic words. 'I remember this feeling, the feeling of being powerless and helpless, not being able to do anything, just like the night my mother and Nathan burned in front of my eyes. I couldn't do anything.' "Mum, Nathan, I will meet you both soon. I love you,"I whispered to myself, ready to reunite with my family. Tears streamed down my eyes, surprising me in the brief moment. 'I hadn't cried since the time I was separated from you two. Now I shall cry when I reunite with you both,' more tears welled up in my eyes as I spoke. **** disclaimer: cover not mine.

Kingdom of Davorin

Kat pushed herself up from the ground, now standing tall. The man didn't match her from the distance he stood, as she was a bit taller. Her face darkened, she narrowed her eyes at the man. Kat wasn't the type to be impolite, but she didn't appreciate the hostility shown towards her when she didn't even know him.

-----------

I looked down at the man in front of me, remembered walking in the woods and seeing the carbine, but the rest was a blur. My hands came to rest on my chin as I looked around the surroundings. I glanced at the steps leading out to a massive courtyard, my eyes scanning the environment. The magnetic pillar of the building stood tall. While observing the courtyard, I spotted one of my suitcases four steps away from where I stood. My eyes scanned the area for the other one, and I saw it not too far from where the first one stood.

I turned and moved down the few steps of the hallway I stood at, intending to get my suitcases. I heard the annoying voice of the man speak again, "Where do you think you are going, lady!" Ignoring him, I walked forward to retrieve my suitcases. I could feel their gazes lingering all over me. 'How dare you ignore me!' the man continued to yelp.

Once I retrieved them, I pulled them to the end of the stairs, walking to the man whose face was red with anger. "How dare you ignore" he said, pointing at me."

--------------

"Kat tilted her head to the side, her gaze icy and piercing as each word that left her lips carried a chilling edge. " None of the words that come out of your mouth seem to be worth my response," she stated coolly. "Apparently, I find myself in need of answers just as much as you do, mister."

Her voice turned sharper, slicing through the air with lethal precision. "So, how about we start over? You are going to tell me where I am, who was responsible for bringing me here, and probably why you all are dressed like co-players for a 16th-century era-themed event."

---------------

Kat's sudden bone-chilling aura enveloped the man as she spoke, her tone sharp and cold. The nobleman's arrogance faltered on the spot. "Yo.. you are in the kingdom of Davorin. I don't know what you are talking about; no one brought you here," the man stuttered before trying to regain his composure.

"Davorin?" Kat echoed softly.

The crowd's murmurs continued as whispers flew around from one person to another. "What if she's a witch?" a voice spoke in a hushed tone. "Yes, they have been witches caught in the nearest villages. She must have been sent to infiltrate the castle," another voice spoke in a not so hushed tone.

--------------

The whispers reached the nobleman's ears, and he staggered back. It hadn't crossed his mind before now that the woman standing before him could be a witch. It made sense to him now, the aura she emitted when she looked at him, and the manner in which she dressed. "Yes, she must be a witch!" he exclaimed.

Kat brought out her phone swiftly in an attempt to call Hanna or the cops. Accidentally, she clicked on the camera application, and the flash came on, taking a picture of the crowd. The sudden flash triggered a wave of panic among the crowd. People stumbled and tripped over each other in their frantic attempts to escape, creating chaos in the courtyard. "Sorcery!" "She's a witch! Run!" "Witch!" the crowd screamed in panic.

Herrington, still reeling from the shock and anger, fell to the ground, his gaze fixed on Kat with a mixture of terror and fury. "Guards, seize the witch!" he cried out, pointing accusingly at her.

---------------

The crowd burst into chaos, their accusations flying like arrows in every direction. I stood there utterly confused by what was unfolding before me. Turning to Herrington, my voice rang out with irritation, "Are you crazy? What the heck are you saying? Are you even serious?" "It's just a damn phone."

Herrington soundly stood up and closed the distance between us, his face contorted with rage, when suddenly he lunged towards me. With lightning reflexes, I dodged his grasp, swiftly evading his outstretched hand. Seizing the opportunity, I employed a tactical maneuver, maneuvering behind Herrington and using his own momentum against him.

With a deft twist of my body, I pinned his arm behind his back, effectively immobilizing him in a position of submission. "What gave you the nerve to think you could touch me?" I said, my eyes narrowing at his foolish action. Despite his struggles, he was now trapped, unable to break free from my firm grip. I was glad that Uncle Michael made me take self-defense classes.

"You don't know who you are messing with, unhand me, witch! I will make your life a living hell!" His eyes blazed with fury as he spat out his chilling decree, "Guards! Burn her, she's a witch! She attacked us! She will wreak havoc upon us all!"

-----------------

Kat was truly getting irritated by the man's constant blabbering. She rolled her eyes. "Stop calling me a witch or shall I break your arm instead," she threatened. It seemed to have worked as he stopped talking. She let go of him watching him stagger forward before steadying his balance. He turned around and pointed to Kat. "Guards, capture her."

One of the guards lunged towards her, intent on grabbing her. She reached into her pocket, her fingers wrapping around a canister of pepper spray. Kat acted swiftly. With a quick motion, she sprayed the pepper spray directly into the guard's face. He let out a piercing scream of agony as the effects of the spray took hold, causing intense burning and discomfort.

-------------------

As I sprayed the pepper spray on one of the guards' faces, I inwardly felt bad when I heard him scream. 'Now I really wanted to beat that noble twerp into a pulp.'

With each step they took toward me, I could feel they were wary after I sprayed one of them with the pepper spray. I maintained my defensive stance, keeping the guards at bay with the pepper spray.

--------------

Two men made their way down the hallway. One of the men appeared to be in his twenties. As he walked, his shoes clenched on the marble floor, emitting an aura of fear and authority. His eyes were dark and hollow, showing no sign of warmth, commanding attention with each step he took. His face was expressionless as he made his way down the hallway. Walking beside him was a man dressed in a distinguished butler uniform. He appeared to be in his sixties. His demeanor was calm and composed, radiating an aura of authority and responsibility.

-----------------

I stood, conscious of the guards' every move. The guards, including Herrington, seemed to have gone stiff suddenly. I spotted two men making their way down the hallway. One appeared to be a butler in his sixties. When my eyes met the other man's, for that brief moment, I felt my body shiver at his sight. His dark hollow eyes held no spark of warmth, like an endless void. His aura sent a dreadfully intense feeling all over me. 'I have felt this feeling before,' I thought to myself. It was right at the tip of my fingers but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

-------------------

As the two men walked, the butler's eyes fixed on the chaotic scene unfolding before them. Kat sensed a shift in the atmosphere. The guards, previously adamant on apprehending her, now hesitated in the face of these newcomers, their fear of the two outweighing their desire to apprehend Kat. She couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine as she caught sight of the younger man's dark gaze. There was something unsettling about the way his eyes narrowed, a silent warning of the power he wielded.

As he passed by, the younger man's eyes briefly met hers, sending a chill through her bones. His gaze held a silent threat, like a reminder of the consequences of crossing his path. Despite his intense gaze, Kat chose not to waver and kept her composure, staring back at his dark eyes with her fiery ones.

Kat watched as Herrington, along with the guards, deeply bowed to him. As he continued to walk away without even glancing in their direction, she observed him say something to the butler before disappearing around the corner, the echoes of his footsteps fading into the distance.

----------------

"Tsk," 'what a gentleman' I thought to myself and scoffed.

The butler didn't go with the man and walked over to us, stepping down from the few steps that led out to the courtyard.

The older man's gaze remained steady, his expression betraying no hint of surprise or alarm at the chaos around him. Instead, there was a calculating glint in his eyes, as if he were assessing the situation with keen insight.

As the tension hung thick in the air, I found myself locking eyes with the older man, as if an unspoken understanding passed between us...
