28 Eating bitter vegetables

Ning Quio soon got tired of the phone and put it away. She soon fell asleep.

The sweet scent of something woke Ning Quio. She saw rice with tomato sauce on a cart beside her. She was about to touch it when Lu Laoyang held her hands and stopped her.

"Not for you"

"But am hungry"

"Doctor told me a few minutes ago when you were sleeping that you only have to eat vegetables for the meantime"

"What? that's not fair"

"Am sorry but I can't help you this time"

"If you don't give the food to me, I'll die," she said to convince him but he was smart

"Really? go on"

"Boss, don't you care about me?"

"I do that's why am trying to help you"

"But I don't like vegetables, I like this" she pointed to the food on the cart.

Lu Laoyang took the food and started eating it so sweetly that her mouth began to water, she licked her lips. She tried to touch it but he pushed her hands away.

She looked at him enviously with a poker face.

She tried to look innocent but he didn't even pay attention to her.

"Boss I'm really hungry" she tried to convince him again.

"Don't worry I'll give you something to eat"

"Really? oh boss is the best" she said smiling

Lu Laoyang then called a nurse to bring him two plates of vegetables. Ning Quio immediately frowned, two plates of vegetables? no-no-no. She didn't like it.

"Boss I'm not hungry anymore"

"Don't worry I'll make sure you eat it"

Ning Quio frowned, she hated vegetables, how could she eat such bitter stuff?

"Boss I was just joking when I said I was hungry, don't take it to heart"

"I'll make sure you eat okay?"

Ning Quio could only nod her head sadly. It was all her fault if she had listened to him earlier she wouldn't face such consequences.

"Boss no matter what you do I'll never eat those vegetables"

After a few minutes, a certain someone was eating vegetables obediently but with her face frowned. She tried to look up to beg him but that stare just made her look down and continue eating the vegetables.
