68 Terror

Zeus woke up the next morning.

He sat up and walked outside to the balcony. He lit a cigarette and looked out at the capital, the hummed to himself and looked behind him at the 2 sleeping girls. He rubbed his chin and blurred before disappearing saying "Shiruton notify me if Orochi wakes up or a procession for Komurasaki's death happens."

Zeus flew through the air and shot towards his lightning marks extremely fast.

After a few minutes

Zeus landed in Ebisu town. He looked around at the laughing people and sighed to himself, he'll fix them all. He had to, this was too sad. He kept his thoughts to himself and smiled at the citizens before walking into the house where the group was.

Zeus opened the door and saw mostly guys, Law looked over and said "Where have you been?" Zeus grinned and said "You haven't heard of the Immortal Fairy Court? That's all mine." Law shook his head and said "I don't know why I expected anything less.."

Zeus chuckled and sat down saying "Everyone else went somewhere else?" Sanji said "I don't know where the girls went and the mosshead is missing. Chopper went to the prison to break Luffy out along with Momonosuke, a little girl, and Kiku."

Zeus nodded and said "Mosshead is wandering around and the girls went to a bath house." Sanji froze and immediately disappeared, Zeus chuckled and Law sighed. Zeus patted his shoulder and said "I'm gonna leave too, they're probably at MY bath house. I'll come back tomorrow."

Law nodded and Zeus left.

Zeus flashed back to his room in the Courtesan house and sat down.

Nothing happened this day. It was strange, Zeus didn't know the exact timeline but he expected at least a procession for Komurasaki. He chuckled and assumed Orochi was dealing with a bigger problem at the moment.

The next morning approached

Zeus reappeared in Ebisu town once again but this time with Binney and Persephone, who were a bit irk'd that he left them alone yesterday.

Zeus walked into the building and grinned at everyone as he said "Hello people!" everyone looked at him and smiled. Zeus grinned and sat down, he lit a cigarette and said "There's a rat in our midst! But have no fear, the god of good looks has taken care of it. Yesterday I assume the girls found out Orochi was looking for people with crescent moon ankle tattoos?"

Nami nodded and said "I don't know how they found out!" Zeus chuckled grimly and swept his gaze over Kanjuro before saying "It doesn't matter because I spread the news to hide, the night of the banquet." Zeus clicked his tongue and said "I would be pretty pissed if I was the rat. All that work, down the drain. Must make you feel like quite the dog, barking all day to your master but producing no results."

Zeus shrugged and grinned as he said "Anyway, Orochi has bigger problems at the moment." Robin had a feeling and said "Bigger problems?" Zeus winked and put a finger to his lips as he said "Secret~" everyone was confused and Zeus chuckled as he said "Let's just say, Orochi has a little accident and lost something important.."

Zeus paused and a vicious grin appeared as he added "And it wasn't Komurasaki." Zeus chuckled and drank from his gourd before snapping his fingers and saying "Right! Round up all the smiling villagers." Law was confused and said "Why?" Zeus whistled and a cloud flew in, dropped a vat and flew away as Zeus said "Cure them obviously."

The crew was confused but the samurai and Shinobu gasped and said "Y-You can cure them!?" Zeus said "90% sure. The scientist that caused the problem made the cure." the crew was still confused and Nami said "Wait! What are you talking about!"

Zeus cleared his throat and said "All the villagers are actually smiling and laughing because of defective Smile fruits contaminating their water. They physically cannot stop laughing, poor little Toko is the sa-"

Zeus froze and said "Tonoyasu! Fuck! Give that to the villagers!" before throwing Bonney and Persephone to Nami and running out the door. Robin shouted "Where are you going!" Zeus said "Toko's dad is going to be executed! Fucking Orochi, I should've killed him when I had the chance!" his Conqueror's burst out and he roared before flying off to the capital like a bullet.

The crew was startled, they could feel Zeus' anger. Law said "Get to the capital immediately! If he goes Berserk, Kaido will find us!" the crew nodded and left.

Tonoyasu was crucified and laughing as he said "The Kozuki's secret message was just a prank! Hahahaha It was all created by me! Orochi and the rest of you fell for it! Hahahahaha" the firing squad had their doubts.

Orochi growled "Tonoyasu!" Tonoyasu laughed and glared at Orochi as he said "You're a coward! Hahhaah You always were, Orochi! Hahahahaha" Orochi snapped and screamed "Fire! Kill him! Now!"

The firing squad shot and Tonoyasu closed his eyes muttering "Toko, Dad's sorry.." But his death never came.

A figure flashed in front of Tonoyasu and his whole body became pitch black, as the bullets hit him instead.

Tonoyasu opened his eyes to see a black Kimono with white dragons on it in front of him.

The civilians looked up and saw Zeus standing in front of Tonoyasu, with bleeding bullet holes inside him. Zeus flexed his body and grunted, he didn't expect them to use seastone bullets. The bullets were forced out of his body and Zeus growled angrily as he looked down at the firing squad.

His Conqueror's exploded out from his body and covered nearly the entire capital as he snarled "Orochi!" Orochi paled and fell backwards as he said "Z-Zunoshiro! What are you doing?!"

Zeus was in his hybrid form and his reverse scale was glowing extremely brightly. He looked extremely menacing.

The rest of the crew, Zoro, Hiyori, Toko, and the Ebisu town villagers finally arrived to see Zeus swaying his tail behind him.

Zeus smashed his tail against the crucifix, letting Tonoyasu free. Zeus waved his hand and Tonoyasu floated down to the ground next to Zoro.

Zeus laughed and said "Seems like taking away your power wasn't enough Orochi. Let me show you what real power is!" the crew said "Oh no." a black and red ring appeared behind Zeus' back and he roared to the sky "Red Hell!"

The sky turned dark red and a storm appeared, the storm picked up and red lightning arcs crackled angrily everywhere. Zeus clapped his hands together and a loud boom sounded from the clouds before a giant blood red dragon's head appeared, it descended from the skies and coiled around Zeus, looking down at Orochi menacingly.

The citizens paled and realized that the 'Mad Demon of the Court' got his name for a reason. Orochi fell to the ground and a puddle appeared under him. The crew was completely stunned and Law swallowed his saliva saying "Is this his true power?" the crew didn't even know what to say and Zeus was completely enraged at this point.

The rings on his back spun faster and faster and the red dragon turned pitch black. Zeus floated to the top and stood on the dragon's head as he said "Time's up Orochi. Not even a soul will be left after this."

Zeus was about to send the dragon down when he saw all the other people looking at him. If the dragon fell, they wouldn't be spared either. He looked at Toko and saw her scared eyes looking back at him. He trembled and sighed before waving his arm, the dragon turned around and shot towards Orochi's Palace.

The Dragon flew and destroyed the entire Palace, sparing the crescent moon shaped tree, but other than that, there was no castle at all. Everything was gone, Zeus clicked his tongue and disappeared directly, the storm subsided and they both vanished into thin air, almost as if it never happened.

Koronosuke was watching from a roof top and nodded his head with a smile as he said "Very good. He can still be taught!" In reality he was ready to stop Zeus at any moment but he wanted to see if Zeus would control himself, if that fell there wouldn't be a capital anymore.

Koronosuke looked in a certain direction and disappeared himself.

The crew let out a breath of relief and the rest of the civilians were confused, they looked at where the Palace was and confirmed that it wasn't an illusion. Toko looked around for Zeus but didn't see him.

Zeus returned to the empty Ebisu Village and walked into the house before grabbing the vat and bringing it outside. He placed it in the middle of the town and wrote down a note before leaving it on top of the vat and disappearing completely.

Zeus re-appeared in the Immortal Fairy Court and said "Shiruton! We're leaving." Shiruton appeared and was confused but nodded anyway. She left to get things and Zeus looked out at the capital, Kornosuke appeared behind him and said "Running away?"

Zeus didn't turn around and said "I'm not cut out to be a Yakuza boss." Koronosuke chuckled and said "Why? Because you almost destroyed the capital?" Zeus was silent and Koronosuke added quietly "Was it because of that little girl?"

Zeus flinched and Koronosuke sighed "With all the power you have, one scared little girl is going to stop you?" Zeus lit a cigarette and Koronosuke added "You saved the girl's father, I'm sure she-" Zeus cut him off and said "She was terrified. As were the rest of the citizens. You said a true Yakuza boss wins the hearts of the people through kindness, not fear. What I did will leave them scared of me for the rest of their lives."

Kornosuke was silent and walked next to Zeus as he said "But you didn't do it in the end." Zeus was silent and Koronosuke added "I might not have known you for a long time but I know that you don't care what the people think. So what are you afraid of?"

Zeus didn't say anything and Koronosuke continued "Are you scared of the eyes of that little girl? Could it be that you are afraid that she will look at you differently now? Despite the fact that you saved her father from a certain death?"

Zeus growled "Enough!" Koronosuke sneered and said "You have all this power but you're scared to use it! You wanted to annihilate Orochi but she stopped you, not the people, just her. Are you really going to let a little bump like this stop you?" Koronosuke sighed and said "I misjudged you if that's the case."

Bonney and Persephone appeared in the room as Zeus snapped "And? I was extremely close from turning the entire capital to dust! What kindness? There's only fear now, understand? It won't change! Not even if I saved her father, not even if I kill Kaido and Orochi. The only thing they'll remember is almost dying by my hand! How am I supposed to change that? Remove their memories? Apologize? I refuse!"

Zeus clenched his fists and said "The actions I take have consequences. Unfortunately for me, I burned the bridge completely, so I'm turning back. I don't want to see the look of fear in her eyes, especially not towards me, so I'll just leave. Plain and simple."

Koronosuke sneered harder and said "That's why you left the cure for their sickness? That's why you wrote that Tonoyasu stole it from Kaido for them thinking he was going to die? That's why you destroyed Orochi's Palace?"

Zeus closed his eyes and Koronosuke continued with a sigh "How could you possibly know if she is even scared now? What if she wants to thank you? You're just going to disappear with that possibility?"

Zeus threw his cigarette off the balcony into the rain and stayed silent. Koronosuke sighed and patted his shoulder as he said "You might not think you are a good Yakuza boss, but you didn't lose control in the end and you saved an innocent man. Who also happened to be one of my friends. For that, I thank you. As your advisor, however, I have to say that leaving now is a bad idea but I feel like if you stay, things will only get worse."

Zeus looked at him and Koronosuke grinned "I think I can hold down the fort while your gone for a while.. Just don't take too long, these old bones could give out any day." before he laughed Zeus smiled and said nothing, sure enough, Koronosuke added "Because you didn't lose control, you can still be taught. Go, sort yourself out, and when you come back have a plan to win the hearts of the people."

Koronosuke waved and walked away. Zeus watched him go before waving his arm and looking back out the window. Bonney and Persephone were silent and hopped onto Zeus' shoulders. Shiruton appeared and Zeus said "We're going to the prison. Tell Sayatomo and O-Muma, that Koronosuke will be in charge for a while, while I go out to take care of some business."

Shiruton was silent before saying "Are we coming back?" Zeus sighed and looked up at the sky as he said "I don't know..." Shiruton nodded and said "It's done." Zeus waved and Shiruton turned into a deck of cards, falling into Zeus' hands.

Zeus looked at the capital before jumping on a cloud and flying away, towards Udon Mining Prison.
